In the name of God Amen
I, Elizabeth Cathers advanced in age, and in a feeble
state of health, but of a sound mind and memory and knowing that all must die,
doth, make, constitute, and ordain this my last will and testament.
First, I commit my soul and body to that great benifiuent ? being, who bestowed him with gratitude and thankfullness for the many blessings confered. I request my just debts if any to be faithfully paid out of my estate.
1st, I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Mary Porter, one negro boy named Sam, which negro she has in her possession.
2nd, I give and bequeath unto my son Edward Cathers, one negro boy named Linsey, also one negro girl named Betty.
I also constitute and appoint my freind Moses Moore and my son Edward Cathers my Executors with request they shall see this my last will faithfully executed and carried into affect.
In teste ? any whereof, I assign this with my hand and affix my seal, as my last will and testament, this 5th day of May 1832 in presence of, John Pearl, and Harrison ? Reames

I, Lot Pittman, clerk of the court for the county
aforesaid above, do certify that the foregoing will of Mrs. Elizabeth Cathers,
dec'd was produced in court as the January term thereof and proved by the Oaths
of John Pearl and Harrison Reames as the two subscribing witness thereto to be
recorded which is done accordingly------ under my hand this 18th day of January
1833.
