John Williams Deeds to heirs and their spouses.
In the Will of John Williams, dated June 1874, he states that he has already made advancements to all his children in Real or Personal Property. Two of his sons, Granville and Abraham, apparently opted for Personal Property. The other children and their spouses opted for the Real Property. Evan C. Williams was willed the remainder of the existing estate in 1874.

This indenture made this 4th day of July in the year 1866
between John Williams of the County of Laurel & Commonwealth of Kentucky of the
one part and Peter Tuttle of the county and State aforesaid of the other part
witnesseth that the said John Williams for and in Consideration of Sixty one
dollars & 75cts in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath
granted bargained & sold and by these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto
the said Peter Tuttle his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of Land
Situated and being in the County of Laurel & Knox on the watters of Richland &
Black Watter and bounded as follows viz Beginning on the Lot line on a Maple
tree standing near where Branden Tuttle now lives thence South with the Lot line
to a hickory & Black oaks thence near West with the Marked line to two Black
oaks standing on the top of the ridge above the Ben Tuttle house thence near
North East to the top of the ridge thence near North down the point to the line
of said Tuttles old tract thence with said line to the beginning containing
thirty eight Acres be the sum More or less together with all and singular
appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to have and to hold
the land hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said Tuttle his heirs &
assigns forever and the said John Williams for himself his heirs executors &
administrators the aforesaid tract of Land and appurtenances unto the said
Tuttle his heirs or assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person
or persons whatsoever doth and will forever warrant & defend by these witnesses
whereof the said John Williams doth hereby assign his name the day & date first
written above

John Williams Sr of the County of Laurel & Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one
part and David Williams of the County & State aforesaid of the other part
Witnesseth that the said John Williams Sr for and in consideration on one
hundred dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath
granted bargained & sold unto the said David Williams his heirs and assigns all
that tract or parcel of Land situated and being in the County of Laurel and on
the waters of Roberson the place where the said Williams now lives and bounded
as follows Beginning on a dogwood standing on the West side of the County road
on or near the Lot line near where A M Williams now lives thence West with the
Lot line to the top of the point between said Williams & Press Tuttle field
thence near West with said point to the top of the dividing Ridge thence with
said ridge to the top of said ridge this side of Robinson Meeting house thence
near N with the top of the ridge to H J Jones line thence E with the said line
to the H J Jones corner and a poplar and Chesnut thence near S to the top of the
ridge thence near E with the top of the ridge within one hundred of W H Williams
fence thence within forty yds of said Williams fence to the County road thence
near S with the County road to the beginning supposing to contain one hundred
acres more or less together with all and sundry the appurtenances thereunto
belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the Land hereby
conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said David Williams his heirs and
assigns forever and the said John Williams Sr for himself his heirs executors &
Administrators the aforesaid tract or parcel of land and appurtenances unto the
said David Williams his heirs or assigns against the Claim or Claims of all and
every person or persons whatsoever doth and will forever warrant and defend by
these presents in witness whereof the said John Williams Sr hath set his name &

the one part and Mariah Mabe of the County and Commonwealth aforesaid of the
other part witnesseth that the said John Williams for and in consideration of
four hundred & fifty dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain
and sell unto the said Mariah Mabe his heirs and assigns all that tract or
parcel of Land situated and being in the County of Laurel & Knox on the waters
of Richland and Roberson the place where the said Mabe now lives and bounded as
follows Beginning on the poplar corner Standing one mile west of the big lick
thence North with the Lot line to Peter Tuttles corner hickory & black oak
thence with said line to two Blackoaks on the top of the ridge thence near South
West with the Marked line with the dividing ridge between Black Watter and
Roberson Watters within 80 yards of John Williams field thence same distance
from the field to the road thence with the road near South to the Lot line
thence East to the Beginning together with all and singular the appurtenances
thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to have and to hold the Land
hereby Conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said Mariah Mabe his heirs and
assigns forever and the said John Williams for himself his heirs executors and
administrators the aforesaid tract of land and appurtenances unto Mariah Mabe
his heirs or assigns against all slaim or claims of all and every person or
persons whatsoever doth and will forever warrant and defend by these presents in

the point that leads to H J Jones thence down the point to said Jones line
thence with said line to a poplar & chesnut Standing near Said Wm H Williams
east field thence near South to the top of the ridge to David Williams line
thence near East with said line to the road thence East with Mabes line to
Sassers line thence near north with Sassers line to the Beginning Supposing to
contain one hundred acres be the same more or less together with all and
singular the appurtenances thereunto Belonging or in anywise appertaining to
have and to hold the Land hereby conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said W
H Williams his heirs and assigns forever and the said John Williams Sr for

This Indenture of bargain and sale made and entered into
this the 21st day of July 1866 between John Williams Sr of the one part and
Elizabeth Tuttle wife of James Tuttle and their heirs that she now has and may
hereafter have by said Tuttle of the other part all of the County of Laurel and
State of Kentucky now for and in consideration of the Love and affection that
the said Williams have for my Daughter Elizabeth Tuttle and the children she now
has or may have hereafter by the said James Tuttle have this day bargained and
sold and by these presents doth bargain & sell unto the said Elizabeth Tuttle
wife of the said James Tuttle and the children she now has or may hereafter have
by the said Tuttle two tracts of Land lying and being in the County of Laurel
and waters of big Laurel and bounded as follows 1st tract Beginning on a
Maple near the mouth of a lane that leads near the ford of Johns Creek on the
South side of J L Russels Farm thence west down big Laurel with the Meanders to
John Jones line to J L Russel corner on a hickory thence south with the road
leading from John Williams Mill to the log road near Harvey Williams to the
Beginning Containing Seventy five & ½ acres Known as the Isaac Him place 2nd
Tract bounded as follows and known as the Edmond Redmond place beginning on a
black gum Standing in the old Survey line known as the Watts line on the north
side of Dixon Sassers field thence North to H A Hales line thence NW with Hales
line to the top of the ridge that divides the waters of black water and cain
Creek thence near South with the dividing ridge to Elizabeth McFadens line
thence with the dividing ridge to Dickson Sassers line to the Beginning supposed
to contain fifty acres more or less together with all and singular the
appurtenances thereunto Belonging or in anywise appertaining to have the Land
hereby conveyed unto the said Elizabeth Tuttle and her heirs as aforesaid and
the said John Williams & defend against the claim or claims of all and every
person or persons whatsoever doth and will forever warrant by these presents in
witness whereof the said John Williams hath set his seal the day & date above

bargained & sold and by these presents doth grant bargain & sell unto the said
Mary Ann McFaden her heirs & assigns all that tract or parcel of land situated
and being in the County of Laurel on the head of Cain Creek and bounded as
follows Beginning on a white oak where Betty McFadens line crosses Cain Creek
thence up said Cain Creek to the fork thence near north west to Peter Weavers
old line thence near South west with the said line to the top of the ridge
between Cain Creek & Roberson thence with the dividing ridge between Cain Creek
Roberson & Black Water to Betty McFadens line thence near north with said line
to the Beginning supposing to be one hundred acres be the same more or less
together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in
anywise appertaining to have and to hold the Land hereby conveyed with the
appurtenances to the said Mary Ann McFaden her heirs and assigns forever and the
said John Williams Sr for himself his heirs executors and Administrators the
aforesaid tract of Land & appurtenances to the said Mary Ann McFaden her heirs
