The Commonwealth of Kentucky
Whereas, Evin? Chesnut, has been appointed, by the County Court of Laurel County, and has qualified as Guardian to John A., Luther E., Mary D., Eliza E., Margaret B., Martha L.(?) & Reid Chesnut minors.
Now, we, Evin Chesnut ......as principal and William Chesnut Jr his sureties, do hereby covenant to and with the Commonwealth of Kentucky, that the said Even(?) Chesnut  will faithfully discharge the trust of Guardian to said minors, in all respects as required by law.
