Carpenter Station Cemetery
Located on Highway 78 west of Hustonville Cemetery
Located on old Russell Jones farm, private land

I'm a descendent of George Carpenter, Rev. War Soldier, and this burial grounds is actually on the site of the original Carpenter's Station, and it still remains on private property, no longer owned by Carpenters, though.  (Although it can be viewed with permission of the current owners.)

The story goes that in 1780, Carpenter's Station was established on the waters of Hanging Fork, by three brothers, Adam, Conrad and John Carpenter.  It was among the first permanent stations to be built in KY.  (Sandy Kassen)

Listed are the surnames  included in this site, with maiden or other family names listed for the women,if known,  as well as the married name.  The names are from the memorial placque located in the graveyard.

*The stone carver was erroneous, possibly due to age and weathered information, for two known names, those of James F. Russell and William T.; also, wondering if Stone Broken was a reference to an unreadable stone by the gravestones’ translator, and the carver picked it up as a name; and John Carpenter’s birthdate appears to be 1725 in stone carving, but family history indicates his birthdate as around 1743.
