Billy was flying the airplane "Skunkface III" (Tail # 44-6568).  He was a squadron-mate of the famous "Memphis Belle".  The Skunkface crew was the last crew lost from the 324th.  Billy is an Honoree on the National WWII Memorial Registry in Washington D.C

He was my mother's 1st cousin.
