        Which is the biggest EAST family web site in the USA. Its common name is The East 
Families of The Southeast USA..

        Here is a short biography of them: 

        Josiah East, son of Joseph East and Mary _____, was born in 1736 in Hanover Co VA. He 
married Eleanor _____ about 1760 in VA. She was born about 1740 in VA. Josiah and most (all?) of 
his children moved west to Lincoln Co KY by the 1790s, where he died in 1804. Josiah witnessed 
and provided surety for the marriage between William Neal and Rachel McGrew in Lincoln Co VA 
(became Lincoln Co KY in 1792) on 6 August 1789. One of the witnesses was Phillip Payton. On 11 
September 1794 Josiah’s daughter Eleanor married, and Josiah was named as the father. Josiah’s 
children were all born in Louisa Co VA unless otherwise noted-
        1. Joseph East, B ABT 1762
        2. North East, B 1764
        3. Cornelius Neal East, B 1765
        4. Josiah East Jr, B 1766
        5. James East, B 1768
        6. John East, B 1773
        7. Eleanor East, B 1774
        8. George W East, B 1775
        9. Isaac East, B 1778

        We are pretty sure this were the original Lincoln Co KY East family progenitor. And we 
have all available early central KY East marriages, in order to figure out who the next 
generation was. But Cornelius "Neal" east is the problem. He wrote / composed his will poorly, 
so no one is sure who his kids were. Hence, my query to you. Neal Left a will in Lincoln Co 
dated 14 March 1820 and it went into probate on 12 March 1821. It's the info on this will that I 
need, plus a will for Neal's father Josiah.

        These East families, over the years, spread to Garrard Co, Madison Co, Wayne Co, and 
into southern Indiana, western MO, and by the end of the 19th century were all over the western 
states.

        In case you have ROWAN names in Lincoln Co, I can also answer questions about them. But 
I don't think the Rowans got to Lincoln Co. They were mainly in Jefferson Co to Ohio Co and the 
counties in the north side of KY between Jefferson & Ohio Counties.
