Still haven't found a link to James Manrel Goff. Possible link to Richard or Abraham Goff. great if you can help. Lived out his life in Pulaski County Kentucky thanks, barbara Goff/hagy barbhagy@sbcglobal.net *********************** From: "Barbara A Hagy" Date: Thursday, December 01, 2005 7:58 AM I'm looking for the link to my ancestors from Virginia. My great-great grandfather's name was George B. Goff from Kentucky. His father was James Manrel Goff, either from Kentucky or Virginia. The counties from Virginia kept evolving into Kentucky. I am trying to find the link to his father (Abraham Goff )???????? I am finding different statistics for James Goff on the census. One say he was born 1830... the other says 1846. Each says his father was Abraham Goff, however, our family relatives whom are now deceased, used to tell stories about our gggrandfather coming to Kentucky from Virginia. the 1880 census states a James and Ciotha Hyden Goff as being married with all the children, whose names I heard growing up. It just has this discrepancy about when and where they were born. Abraham had a son named Richard Goff. But not a James is mentioned. I am stumped. Can you help? Is there a direct link to a James or Abraham Goff in Virginia? The map goes from Pulaski county Kentucky - Green county,KY - Lincoln county KY - Virginia, County??? Thanks, barb hagy
