We have been searching for some of my husbands family (Hugh Stewart Sutherland) he was born in Lincoln/maybe Green county.  
He was born 1812.  He died in 1888.  We cannot find a trace of his father or mother.  We also cannot find where he was buried.  
He was married 2 times.  Once to Eliza or Elizabeth Jones.  He had 8 or 9 children by this marriage.  Then he married a Mary 
Salsman.  They had a son George W born in 1861.  We cannot find what became of George.  If you know of any Sutherlands in the 
late 1700's or early 1800's we would appreciate any info.  The spelling may be Sutherlin, Southerland or the way we spell it.
