I am trying to prove Ninian Whittle is the son of John Whittle of Lincoln Cty.  I have 
seen referenced that Ninian helped his Father, John survey his 502 acre patent 
on the Rockcastle River (near Renfro Valley) in 1797.  I cannot find this record.  
Do you know where I might find this.  I am trying to prove this line for lineage 
into the DAR.  I know John had 4 children marry in Lincoln county.  I am hoping 
one of these marriages would tie them together some how.  Mittice married 
Clayborn Duncan in 1794, Sophia married John East in 1798, John W. Jr. married 
Margaret Fair in 1802 and Vincent married Sara Josling in 1806.  Of course, my 
Ninian had to go back to Va to marry.  I do have that but his Father was not present.  
Any help would be appreciated.
