From: "Ryan Worthington" Date: Monday, May 17, 2010 3:21 PM Yes my name is Ryan Worthington and I live in Owensboro Kentucky. I am in search of an ancestors grave site that fought in the American Revolutionary War. He was known as Captain Edward Worthington. I come across numerous documents that state that he is buried somewhere in Lincoln County. IS there any way you could help me in locating this grave site or tell me if this site even exist in Lincoln County. I thank you so much for your time and help. Ryan Worthington From: "Helen Sills" Subject: Edward Worthington Date: Monday, April 13, 2009 6:31 PM I am a descendant of Edward Worthington who was a Captain in the Revolutionary War. He and his wife, Elizabeth "Betsy" raised several children in Lincoln County, and there are many land and court records on file there. Capt. Worthington went with his son to New Orleans for a court case in 1804 and he died of yellow fever there. His estate was appraised in Lincoln County in 1805. The DAR had someone submit, in 1955, that he was buried in "Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln Co., KY." They have no record of who submitted this information, and no one who has visited the county can find his grave. I would certainly like to know if he really was buried there, and would gladly pay copy and time expenses for anyone who can come up with an answer. Sincerely, Helen Sills
