Stanford - Larry Wayne Mann, 28, of Kings Mountain Route 1 died Tuesday, Nov. 17 at his home of natural causes.  

He was born Aug. 4, 1959 in Cincinnati, and worked at Lincoln County Pallet Mill in Highland.  

Survivors include his wife, Palma Mason Mann of Kings Mountain Route 1; his parents

James Mann and Edith Carter Mann, both of Somerset; two daughters, Jennifer Marie and Jessica Leann Mann, both at home.; three brothers, James Keith Mann of Cincinnati, 
Michael Crit Mann of Somerset and Eric Scott Mann of Millington, Tenn.; and a sister, Rhonda Mae Wesley of Science Hill.  

The funeral was held Thursday at Fox Funeral Home, Stanford, by the Rev. Carroll Jasper. Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery.

MANNING, Martha  

Mrs. Martha Ella Manning, 79, of Route 2, Crab Orchard died Sunday, August 17, at 2 p.m. at the Fort Logan Hospital.  

A native of Harlan County, she was a housewife and a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Galvin and Nancy Ann Crause Middleton.  

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Hubert Manning of Route 2, Crab Orchard; four sons, Hubert Manning, Jr., of Route 2, Crab Orchard, Curtis Ray Manning of Alexandria, 
William Manning of Clarkston and Clarence Manning of Wilder; four daughters, Mrs. Dora Lee Manuel of Route 1, Stanford, Mrs. Thelma Ann White of Cold Springs, 
Mrs. Wilma Ruth Ingram of Norwood, Ohio and Mrs. Bonnie E. Hasty of Sharonville, Ohio; two brothers, Claude Middleton of Crab Orchard and Arch Middleton 
of Florida, and one sister, Mrs. Mae Farmer of Crab Orchard.  

Services were conducted at the Beazley, Raney, Speaks and Martin Funeral Home in Crab Orchard Tuesday, August 19 at 4 p.m. with Rev. 
Kenneth Adams officiating. Burial was in Crab Orchard Cemetery

James E. (Mousie) Manuel, 68, of Rt 1, Pine Hall Road, Stanford, died Monday, February 10 at the V.A. Hospital in Lexington.  

A native of Lincoln County, he was born May 7, 1917. He was a retired state and Highway Department employee and former deputy sheriff for 6 years. 
He was a member of Pine Grove Church of Christ.  

Survivors include his wife, Flossie Saylor Manuel, Rt. 1, Stanford, 1 son, James E. Manuel of Rt 1, Stanford; 3 daughters, Mrs. Edward (Carolyn) Roberts, Rt 1, 
Waynesburg, Mrs. Harold (Judy) Robbins, Richmond and Mrs. Larry (Colleen) Reynolds, Danville; 1 brother, Woodrow Manuel, Rt. 1, Stanford; and 9 grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb 12 at the Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Vola Brown officiating. Burial was in Manuel Cemetery.

MANUEL, Lewis Clark  

November 16, 1959  - December 01, 1988  

Crab Orchard - A 29year old Crab Orchard man was killed last Thursday in a single-vehicle accident on U. S. 27, four miles north of Nicholasville.

According to a dispatcher with the Kentucky State Police post at Richmond, Lewis Clark

Manuel was heading north on 27 in a 1987 Ford pickup truck when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck left the road and struck a telephone pole and fence. The accident occurred at 6:40 a. m. Thursday.

Manual was pronounced dead at the scene by Jessamine County Coroner, Sharon Reynolds.

Manual was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident. There were no passengers in his truck. The accident was investigated by Trooper, Marvin Taylor.  

Born Nov. 16, 1959 in Garrard County, Manuel was a son of Margie Chandler Manuel of Crab

Orchard and the late Joe Manuel. He was an employee of W. R. Chick Construction Co., Lexington. He was a member of Cumberland Baptist Church.

Additional survivors include his wife, Joy Adams Manuel; a daughter Hillary Noel Manuel, at home; four brothers, Billy Joe Manuel of Cincinnati, Bobby L. Manuel and Maurice 
H. Manuel, both of Benham, and Eric Manuel of Lexington; two half brothers, George Barley of Danville and Rice Gaines of Benham; three sisters, Ernestine Raptosh of 
Dayton, Ohio, Norma Jean Wallin of Cincinnati, and Theresa Hatfield of Harlan.

The funeral was held Saturday at Martin Funeral Home, Crab Orchard, by the Rev. Bobby Green.

Burial was in Crab Orchard Cemetery

Viola Manuel, 71, of the Rowland community in Stanford, died Saturday, February 20 at the Fort Logan Hospital.  

A native of Harlen (Harlan) Co., she was born July 16, 1916 to the late Green Berry and Charotta Kidd Spears. She was retired from Palm Beach - 27 yrs. and a member of a 
Christian Church. Her husband Eph Manuel preceded her in death.  

Survivors include two sons, Walter E. Manuel of Stanford and Michael L. Manuel of Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters, Byrda Miracle of Hustonville and Vicky Singleton, 
Stanford; 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren  

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 23 at the Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Morris Trayner officiating. Burial was in Manuel Cemetery.  

Pallbearers were Wm. (Bill) Robertson, Danny Glass, Randy Brown, Robert Elkins, Walter (Tom) Gehlhausen, and Anthony Harness. Honorary pallbearers were 
members of the Stanford Fire Dept. and Lincoln Co. Station # 1.

Maxie Carter Markham, 71, of 132 East Jefferson, Danville, died Friday, Nov. 5 at the Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.  

A native of Casey County, she was born November 28, 1921 to the late O. W. Carter and Nannie Lucas Carter. She was a former co-owner of Southern Boy 
Restaurant in Michigan and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  

She is survived by her husband, Charles Markham of Danville.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 7 at Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Ernest Martin officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.  

Pallbearers were Travis Henderson, Kenneth Eaves, Darren Henderson, Mark Henderson, Lowell Coffman, and Marlon Austin.

Sympathy is extended to the Martin family in the loss of the wife and mother, Mrs. Bessie Martin who died in Garrard Co. Hosp. around noon Monday Nov 15th.  
She is survived by her aged husband, Mr. Robert Martin, a daughter, Mrs. James Shaw, two sisters, Mrs. Joie Downey of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Jennie Thompson of Preachersville; 
several nieces  and nephews, one granddaughter, Mrs. Glena Shaw Brent, also one great grandson, Keith Brent.

Mrs. Martin was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church and leaves a host of friends and neighbors to mourn her passing. She was loved by all who were fortunate to know her.  

Funeral was conducted Wednesday, Nov. 17 by Dr. John Carter in Speaks Martin Funeral Home, Crab Orchard, at 2 p.m. Burial followed in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Frank Samuel Martin, age 78, of Rt. 1, Stanford, died at his home Monday, May 26 after a long illness.  

He was born Sept. 5, 1907 in Laurel County to the late John and Catherine Webb Martin. He was retired farmer, a Lincoln County school bus driver and a Raleigh Salesman.  

Survivors include his wife, Delphia Woods Martin of Rt. 1, Stanford; five sons, J. C. Martin, Bud Martin, Elmer Martin, Paul Martin all of Stanford and Charles Martin of 
Mt. Vernon; six daughters, Virginia Durham, Imogene Stamper and Eva Bradley, all of Stanford, Florence Reynolds and Glenna Fabian, both of Chicago and Linda Taylor of Somerset; two brothers,

Lonnie Martin, of Rt. 1 Crab Orchard and Matt Martin of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two sisters, Lorene McClenny of Covington and Maggie Kidwell of Brodhead; 39 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.  

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Thursday at the Pine Grove Church of Christ with Curt Herrington and J. R. Hume officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.  

Pallbearers were grandsons, Wayne, Larry, Donny and Bobby Martin, Frankie Durham and Billy Ray Durham.

Lonnie Lee Martin, 23, of Rt.1, Crab Orchard, died Wednesday, July 12 on Sandsprings Roads about 4 1/2 miles south of Mt. Vernon, due to injuries received in a motorcycle accident.  

He was born March 15, 1966 in Lincoln County to Lonnie and Barbara Jean Renner Martin of Rt. 1, Crab Orchard. He was a general laborer. His grandparents 
were the late Virgil Martin and Elva McClure Martin.  

Other survivors include his wife, Debbie Lou McKinney Martin, Crab Orchard; one daughter, Jenifer Lou Martin, Crab Orchard; one brother, Randel Gene Martin of Crab Orchard; 
two sisters, Angela Gail Rayburn and Lesia Lynn Blevins, both of Crab Orchard; aunts, uncles and a host of friends.  

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 15 at the Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.  

Pallbearers were Arlis Blevins, Randy Rayburn, Terry Griffin, Chad Payne, Greg Nicholas and Freddy Perry.

Martin Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.

Pauline Milbern Martin, 86, of 231 Raymond Lane, Cadiz, formerly of McKinney, died Wednesday, Sept. 4 at the Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Cadiz.  

A native of Casey County, she was born April 13, 1916 to the late Daniel Milbern and Lola Durham Milbern. She was a homemaker, member of Cadiz and McKinney 
Christian Churches, and widow of Raymond L. Martin.  

She was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.  

Survivors include two sons, Raymond N. Martin of Cadiz and Kenneth G. Martin of Lompoc, CA., three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.  

Graveside services were held Monday, Sept. 9 at Buffalo Springs Cemetery with Bro. John Lowry officiating.

Fox Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Rosa B. "Dottie" Martin, 71, of Rt. 4, Frog Branch Rd, Stanford, died Monday, August 3 at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.  

A native of Lincoln Co., she was born April 18 1916 to the late Joseph and Jamima Oaks Durham. She was a housewife and a member of the Hustonville Homemakers Club.  

Survivors include her husband James E. Martin, Stanford; four sons, Paul, George, Newland Martin, Stanford and Eugene Martin of Oxnard, Calif.; one daughter, Martha 
Rose Durham, N.C.; three brothers, Oscar Durham, Palm Beach, Fla., Fred Durham, St. Petersburg, Fla. and Ed Durham of Louisville; and 7 grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Wednesday August 5 at the Fox Funeral Home with Rev. George Darnell officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Marie Leigh Tucker Mink, 76, of Stanford, died July 10 at the Fort Logan Hospital following a long illness.  

Mrs. Mink was a native of Lincoln County and a member of the Blue Lick Baptist Church.   

Survivors include three sons, Thomas James Dees of Munice, [Muncie] Ind., Charles Dees of Morresburg, [Mooresburg] Tenn., and Donald Deed? [Dees?] of Stanford.

She had eight grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Morgan and Fox Funeral Home with the Rev. Elmore Ray officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Sarah Cathryn Bruce Montgomery, 89, of 5411 Verdant Way, Houston, TX., died

Wednesday, March 10 at the Cypress Fairbanks Hospital in Houston, TX.  

A native of Stanford, she was born March 9, 1904 to the late Isaac McRoberts Bruce and Annie Fleece Wray Bruce. She was a registered radiologic 
technologist supervisor and the widow of Dr. Paul Joseph Montgomery.  

She was born in Stanford, grew up and completed high school here. She attended Central Institute of the Deaf in St. Louis. She taught two years in Iowa School and 
one half year in North Carolina where she married the late Dr. Joseph Montgomery of Council Bluffs, IA. She lived in Iowa for a number of years before moving to Dallas, TX., 
where she became a registered Radiologic Technologist and was supervisor of the department in a Dallas hospital.  

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Edward Thorn, Jr.; one son-in-law, Hayden Knott; r grandchildren, Kathy Reynolds, Margaret Thorn, 
Edward Thorn III, and Barbara Knott; 3 great grandchildren, Ashley Reynolds, Sean Reynolds and Andrew Knott; several cousins, including John and Robert Baughman of Stanford.  

Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 17 at 10 a. m. at Buffalo Springs Cemetery with Rev. Lee Jennings officiating.

Fox Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.

MASTERSON, Zay  

Zay Masterson, 71, of Rt. 1, Stanford, died Dec 9, 1975 after a long illness at the Ft. Logan Hospital in Stanford.  

A native of Lincoln County, he was retired from his occupation and a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church.  

Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Annie Masterson; a daughter, Mrs. E. Leavell of Lancaster; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Goode of Rt. 3, Stanford; 4 grandchildren, 7 great 
grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Funeral services took place at Bethel A.M.E. on Saturday Dec. 13, 1975, at 2:00 p.m.

Officiating were Rev. Willie Stewart, Jr. and Rev. Price Mitchell. Burial was at Goode Cemetery

Adams Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. William David McCormack, 79, of Route 4, Stanford died Wednesday, Sept. 3 at the Ephriam McDowell Memorial Hospital in Danville after a short illness.  

A native of Lincoln County, he was born Jan. 11, 1896 and was a son of the late William and Mollie Eubanks McCormack. A retired farmer, he was a member of the 
McCormack Christian Church and a veteran of World War I. He was a member of the American Legion.  

Survivors include his wife, Mary Carter McCormack of Stanford; two sisters, Mrs. Bess Murphy of Danville and Mrs. Mary White of Rochester, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.  

Services were conducted at the Beazley- Raney- Speaks Funeral Home, Friday, Sept. 5 at 3 p.m., with Bro. Ray Hammonds and Bro. Ernest Martin officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery 

Active pallbearers were Bryan, Jimmy and Richard Cooper, Donald Martin, Robert Bishop and George Hubbard, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers were Arnold Curtis, Sr., R. M. Cooper, Robert Berry, Robert and James McCormack, and John Martin.

Stanford - Hubert McGuffey, 72, of 1350 Shake Rag Road, Waynesburg, in the Highland Community, died Thursday at his home after an Illness.  

Born March 31, 1917, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Cas. B. and Sarah Bastin McGuffey. He was retired from Corning Glass Works 
and a member of the Highland Methodist Church.  

Survivors include his wife, Hetty Rose Smith McGuffey; a son, Ranny McGuffey of Highland; two daughters, Marilyn McGuffey Combs of Highland and Jean Owens of 
Shelbyville; two sisters, Roxie Ervin of Stanford and Dorothy Gray of Louisiana; and three grandchildren.  

The funeral was held Sunday at Fox Funeral Home, Stanford, by the Revs. Mark Clifton and Carrol Jasper. Burial was in Pleasant Point Cemetery, Kings Mountain.

Norman Edward McGuffey, 67, of 9399 Old Somerset Road, Waynesburg, died Saturday, November 3 at the U. K. Medical Center in Lexington.  

A native of Lincoln County, he was born April 14, 1923 to William McGuffey and Roberta Burton McGuffey. He was a retired school teacher, a member of the 
Highland Methodist Church, Lincoln Masonic Lodge # 60 F &AM, Scottish Rite and Oleika Shrine Temple.  

Survivors include two brothers, Billy Joe McGuffey, Stanford and Richard McGuffey, Detroit, MI; two sisters, Berdine Reed, Stanford and Ruth Thompson, Stanford; several nieces and nephews.  

Pallbearers were Jim Baird, Jack Denny Johnson, Roy McGuffey, Russell Martin, Barry Carrier, Fonzo McGuffey.  

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 7 at the Highland Methodist Church with

Bro. John Lowry and Bro. Dennis Spencer officiating. Burial was in Highland Methodist Church Cemetery

Moreland - Jessie Carter Merriman, 74, of Moreland died Saturday, Sept. 20, at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, after a long illness.  

Born Dec 16, 1911, in Lincoln County, She was a daughter of the late Arthur L. and Georgette Carter. She was a member of Moreland Christian Church.  

Survivors include her husband, Harry Merriman; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Ann) Brown of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Morgan Sandidge of Moreland and Mary Dean Barnett of Campbellsburg.  

The funeral was held Monday, Sept. 22 at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home, Moreland, by the Rev. Bill Minor. Burial was in Hustonville Cemetery.  

Active pallbearers were Jim Kelley, Hascal Wesley, Dale Smith, Merrell Strunk, Elwood Brown and Donald Atwood.

Ray Richard Middleton, 73, of 290 Highway 618 Crab Orchard, died February 14, 1992 at the Rockcastle County Hospital in Mt. Vernon of an extended illness.  

He was born July 9, 1918 in Lincoln County to the late John Middleton and Emma G. Middleton. He was a retired farmer and a member of the West Brodhead Church of God.  

Survivors include his wife, Edna Brummett Middleton of Crab Orchard; two sons, Tony Middleton and Jimmy Middleton, both of Crab Orchard; one brother, Boss Middleton, 
Crab Orchard; two sisters, Martha Middleton and Grace Smith both of Crab Orchard; 3 granddaughters, nieces, nephews and friends.  

Funeral  services were held February 16 at the West Brodhead Church of God by Bro. Gene Creech. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.  

Pallbearers were Bobby Smith, Glenn Smith, Doug Smith, Terry Smith, Donald Smith and Jess Coffey.

Martin Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.

Myrtle Oakes Miller, 86, widow of William Wesley Miller, 116 Highland Ave., died Tuesday, July 23, 1991 at the Garrard County Memorial Hospital. She was a 
housewife and retired from the Lancaster Department Store.  

She was born in Garrard County, daughter of the late Cordelia Reynolds Oakes and John T. Oakes. She was a member of the Lancaster Christian Church and a Kentucky Colonel.  

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Oscar (Betty Jane) Dollins, Lancaster, one grand - daughter, Ann Wesley Dollins Ray; one grandson, David Joe Dollins; three 
great -grandchildren, Josh, Elizabeth and Tausha; and two sisters, Mrs. Louis (Virgie) Ball and Mrs. George (Elizabeth) Pero of Louisville.  

Funeral services will be held at 3: 00 p.m. Thursday (today) at the Ramsey Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Mel Bonner. Burial will be in the Lancaster Cemetery.  

Pallbearers are; Walter Hammonds, Paul East, Tom Woods, Charles Ball, Jack Zanone, and David Moss.

Honorary pallbearers are; Shelton Moss, Julian Moss, Sr., Raymond Thompson, Jr., Joe Hammonds, Claude Reynolds, Paul Young and David Gay.

Glenn Mink, 58, of Clayton, IN., died Sunday, August 8.

Services were at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug 10 in Wingler Funeral Home, Coatesville, IN.  

He was the son of the late Alva and Ethel Mink and was formerly of Lincoln County.

He had been a mechanic 15 years for the Indianapolis Airport Authority.  

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Greeson Mink; sons, Earl and Allen Mink; brothers, William Clennon and Bobby Mink; sisters, 
Brenda Fischer and Minnie Anderson; and 3 grandchildren.

MINKS, Mary  

Mrs. Mary Eleanore Minks, a retired teacher in the Hustonville schools, died Monday Dec 19 in Franklin, Ohio, were she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Burns.  

She had lived in Hustonville area most of her life and retired in 1962 after teaching for 35 years.

She was the widow of the Rev. Oscar Minks who died in 1974. and belonged to Hustonville Baptist Church.  

She is also survived by another daughter, Mrs. Jane Rider of Warsaw, Ky.; four step-daughters, Mrs. Margie Hanson of Hustonville, Mrs. Lucille Burris of Louisville, 
Mrs. Clyde Brown of Lebanon, and Mrs. Lyda Lair of London.  

Funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Hustonville Baptist Church by the Rev. W. R. Bradshaw assisted by the Rev. Larry Orange. Burial will follow in Hustonville Cemetery.

W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home, Moreland was in charge of arrangements.

MOBLEY, Hazel Mae  

March 26, 1898 - April 28, 1987  

Hazel Mae Mobley, 89, of the Stanford House, formerly of Elm St., Crab Orchard, died Tuesday, April 28, at the Fort Logan Hospital of an extended illness.  

She was born in Lincoln County, March 26, 1898 to the late John and Mary Adams Brock. She was a housewife and a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church.

She was the widow of the late Garnett Mobley.  

Survivors include a brother, Charlie Brock of Crab Orchard; one sister, Delia Day of Berea; a niece Joyce Dollins of Crab Orchard and other nieces and nephews and friends.  

Funeral services were held Friday, May 1 at the Martin Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Harpe officiating. Burial was in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.  

Pallbearers were Richard Baker, Homer Hoskins, Ray Noe, Jack Farmer, Henry Blankenship and Jim Fletcher.

Martin Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.

MOORE, Ray Durward

Ray Durward Moore, 65, of Rowland, died unexpectedly of a heart attack, Tuesday, May 28 at the Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.  

Moore, a retired Whirlpool employee and Army Veteran  of World War II, was born on March 16, 1926 in Lexington. He was the son of Nora Moore Dees of Stanford and the late George Moore.  

He is survived by one son, Ray Durward, Jr., of Caseville, MI.; one daughter, Kimberly Sarver, Pigeon, MI.; and 3 grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Friday, May 31 at 2 p.m. at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland.

The Rev. Eddie Reynolds officiated.

Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford.

MULLINS, Minnie Lee

November 11, 1894 - June 17, 1976  

Minnie Lee Mullins, 81, a resident of Hustonville, died at 9 a.m. Thursday, June 17 at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford, from a heart attack. She has been in ill health for some time.  

She was a native of Casey County, born November 11, 1894, the daughter of the late L. B. and Georgia Ann Hofley Duneon. She lived in Hustonville area most of her life, 
and was a member of Ellisburg, Baptist Church in Casey County.  

Survivors include three daughters, Mr. Rose Mullins, Route1, Hustonville, Mrs. Lois Goode, Waynesburg, and Mrs. Maggie Spaulding, Route 1, Hustonville; two step daughters, 
Mrs. Agnes Spaulding, Route 2, Hustonville, and Mrs. Nora Curtsinger, Connersville, Indiana; two step sons, Densil Russell, California, and Tommy Russell, Danville; 
two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Grayson; Indianapolis, Indiana, and Mrs. Virgie Mullins, Danville; one brother, Raymond Duneon; Lexington; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  

Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland by the Rev. Clyde Rhea of Waynesburg. Burial was in the Hustonville Cemetery

Pallbearers were; William Earl Goode, Tommy Goode, Leon Downs, Elwood Spaulding, Frank Held and Eugene Hofley.

MULLINS, Treva Christine Cummins  

Treva Christine Cummins Mullins, 83, of Stanford died Wednesday, June 2 at the Ephriam McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.  

A native of Pulaski Co., she was born Aug. 6, 1915 to the late Elmer and Florida Cash Cummins. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Broughtontown and the widow of Billy Mullins.  

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dianna Brummett.  

Survivors include three sons, James Murell Poynter of Crab Orchard, Derell Lee of West Chester, OH., and Nick Poynter of Moore, OK.; one brother, 
Burdette Cummins of Mt. Vernon; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 5 at the McKnight-Martin Funeral Home in Crab Orchard with Bro. Cecil Roundtree officiating. Burial was in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Willailla.

MULLINS, Richard

Rites for Richard Mullins, 68, of Elm Street, Crab Orchard who died Tuesday Dec. 27 in Clairmont Hospital in Batavia, Ohio, were held at 1 p.m. Thursday at 
Beazley-Speaks-Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Merrill Caudill. Burial followed in Friendship [Baptist Church] Cemetery.  

Mr. Mullins was visiting his daughter in Ohio when he became ill. He was a retired laborer and a member of the Regular Baptist Church.  

He was born, March 6, 1909 in Knott County to the late James C. and Sarah Johnson. [Mullins]  

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nora Mullins of Crab Orchard; two sons, Gilbert and Foster Mullins of West Chester, Ohio; five brothers, Arthur of St. Petersburg, Fla. Willie, Lindsey and Wallace, all of Crab Orchard, and Woodrow Mullins; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Petrey and Mrs. Lizzie Denny, both of Crab Orchard; 15 grandchildren and six great -grandchildren.

Pallbearers were the grandsons and nephews.

MULLINS, Wallace B.  

November 27, 1902 - April 29 1988  

Crab Orchard - Wallace B. Mullins, 85, of Elm Street, died Friday at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford, after a long illness.  

Born Nov. 27, 1902, in Knott County, he was the son of the late James Chester and Sarah Johnson Mullins. He was a retired farmer and former owner of Mullins grocery 
store in Crab Orchard. He was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church.  

Survivors include his wife, Rosie Johnson Mullins; two sons, Willie Varner Mullins and James Mullins, both of Crab Orchard; two daughters, Sarah Baker, of Fort Worth, 
Texas, and Mary Bennett of Crab Orchard; two brothers of Crab Orchard and Arthur Mullins of Bush Nell, Fla.; two sisters, Lizzie Denny of Crab Orchard and 
Annie Petrey of Waynesburg; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and two great -great grandchildren.

MUNSIE, Fannie Mae

Fannie Mae Munsie, age 80, of Somerset, formerly of Crab Orchard, died Friday, February 2 at the Midtown Nursing Care Home of an extended illness.  

She was born February 8, 1909 in Lincoln County to the late John M. Munsie and Jennie Blanton Munsie. She was a retired employee of the Model Laundry in Norwood, OH. 
She was a member of the Brodhead Methodist Church.  

She was preceded in death by a sister, Louisa Shelton Isaacs, and 3 brothers, Lawrence, Frank and Curtis  Munsie.  

Survivors include one daughter, Lucille Munsie Carter, Eubank; one sister Dora Munsie Doughty of Crab Orchard; 2 grandchildren, Cheryl Rowland, Blanksburg, 
VA., and Kevin Carter, U. S. Army, Germany; 3 great granddaughters, nieces, nephews, and friends.  

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 4 at the Martin Funeral Home by Rev. Dan Gutenson.

Burial was in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.  

Pallbearers were Curtis Munsie, Albert Bishop, Lawrence Shelton, Russell Doughty, Gary Munsie and Bobby Martin.

Martin Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangement.
