D. Napier, 20, of Crab Orchard died Sunday of natural causes at Fort Logan
Hospital.
Born
May 5, 1971, she was the daughter of Robert and Sherry Manuel Napier of Crab
Orchard.
Survivors,
in addition to her parents, include one brother, Steven Napier of Garrard Co.;
two sisters, Angela Harrison and Amy Napier, both of Garrard County;
and her
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Manuel of Crab Orchard and Mrs. Lena Napier
of Madison County.
Funeral
services were held Wednesday at Ramsey Funeral Home in Lancaster with burial in
Ramsey Cemetery, Stringtown. [Garrard

Virginia Oaks Nave, 61, of 123 Cold Springs Dr., Lancaster, formerly of
Stanford, died Saturday, March 17, at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford of an
extended illness.
She
was born May 18, 1928 in Lincoln County to the late Charley Oaks and Pearl J.
Simpson Oaks.
She
was a nurse assistant at the Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford. She was a member of
the Willow Grove Baptist Church and widow of Roy Louis Nave, Sr.
Survivors
include a son, Roy Louis Nave, Jr. of Lexington; two daughters, Martina Nave
Martin, Lancaster and Anne Boone Snyder, Houston, TX.; six brothers,
Clyde Oaks,
Stanford, Dennis Oaks, Danville and Paul Oaks, David Oaks, Kenneth Oaks and Otis
Oaks all of Waynesburg; three sisters, Ruth Rector, Mary Nave and
Martha Ann
Farmer all of Waynesburg; 3 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; nieces, nephews
and friends.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday at Willow Grove Baptist Church by Rev. Don Jones and
Rev. Randy McPheron. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers
were Larry Watson, Bobby Weaver, Johnny Thompson, Lonnie Pendygraph, Henry Estes
and Frank Smith.
Martin
Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.

the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington,

native of Lincoln County, she was born Jan. 31, 1930 to the late Charlie Oaks
and Pearl Simpson Oaks. She was a
homemaker, a member of the
Mt. Hebron Baptist Church, and the widow of Hughie
Nave.
Survivors
include six brothers; Paul James Oaks, David Samuel Oaks, Kenneth Eugene Oaks
and Odis Alfred Oaks, all of Waynesburg, Dennis Ray Oaks
of Danville and Clyde
Sherman Oaks of Stanford; two sisters, Ruth Mae Rector and Martha Ann Farmer
both of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services were held Friday, Aug. 4 at the Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Miracle
officiating. Burial was in Manse Cemetery in Paint Lick.

Earl Naylor, 61, of 7465 Danville Pk., Hustonville, died Sunday, September 10 at
the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.
A
native of Lincoln County, he was born June 9, 1928 to Jasper Naylor and Edra Mae
Ross Naylor. He was a signal foreman for Norfolk Southern Railroad for
42 years,
a member of Hustonville Baptist Church, Lincoln Masonic Lodge F & AM, # 60,
F & AM Scottish Rite, Lexington and Oleika Shrine Temple.
Survivors
include his wife Gladys Reed Naylor; one son, John Reed Naylor, Hustonville; one
daughter, Mrs. Randall "Connie" Doyle, Danville; two grandchildren,
Abra Nichole Naylor and Andrew Charles Naylor, both of Hustonville.
Pallbearers
were James Goff, Bill Burgess, Larry Byrd, Newland Hester, Charles Collier, Gary
Johnson, and Dan Stephens.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday, Sept. 12 at the Fox Funeral with Rev. Eddie Reynolds
officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery

Robert
L. Naylor, 56, formerly of Preachersville, died March 20 in Springdale, Ohio.
He
was a son of the late William Naylor.
Survivors
include his wife, Dorothy Coop Naylor; three sons, Robert Naylor Jr., David
Naylor and Kenneth Naylor; one daughter, Diane Couch; his mother, Viola
Denny;
one brother, Ray Denny; four sisters, Doris Parson, Betty Saylor, Eva Eggersman
and Alice Dunaway; and five grandchildren.
The
funeral was held March 22 at Vorhis Funeral Home, Springdale, Ohio. Burial was
in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Addie Lee Gover Norris, 90, of 4885 Middleburg Road, Hustonville, died Monday at
Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford.
Born
August 23, 1898 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late J. J. and
Mattie Leece Gover. She was a homemaker and a member of
McKinney Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jake T. Norris, and a son, Vernon T. Norris.
Survivors
include two daughters, Mrs. Jones (Jean) Lawless Jr. and Mrs. Stanley (Anna)
Hovious, both of Hustonville; a son, Bill Norris, also of
Hustonville;
a brother, Layton Gover of Hustonville; two sisters, Mrs.
George (Alta) Routt of Cincinnati and Eva Kelley of Stanford; 11grandchildren;
and 15 great grandchildren.
The
funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in
Moreland by the Revs. Albert Gisler and Bob Bausum. Burial will be in Hustonville
Cemetery.
Active
pallbearers will be John Elliott, Jr., Jeff Norris, Darrell Hovious, B. B.
Norris Jr.,
Mike
Adams, Eddie Hovious and Jim Ed Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel
Montgomery, Foster Baugh, Eddie Rice, J. C. Fletcher, Jimmy Phelps and Leslie
Franklin Gooch.

will be after 4 p.m. today at the funeral Home.

Mary
Katherine Norris, 76, of 519 Cedar St., Crab Orchard, passed away Friday,
January 15 at the home of her daughter, Mollie Baughman, at 216 Jefferson Ave.,
Danville, of a long illness.
She
was born in Lincoln County May 15, 1911 to the late John Fish and Lizzie Guest
Fish.
She
was a cook at the different restaurants in Crab Orchard, was always ready to do
a good deed for whoever may ask. She was a homemaker and a member
of the First
Baptist Church of Crab Orchard. She took an active part in raising funds for the
Crab Orchard Fire Department and the East End Ambulance Service.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Norris and a daughter, Mary Frances
Owsley.
Other
survivors include a brother, Albert Fish of Danville; four Sisters, Lillie
Buchanan and Mabel Pope, both of Danville, Gatheline Correthers of Birmingham,
Ala.
and Elizabeth Stephens of Hartford, Conn.; a step son, Simon Norris of
Lancaster; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host
of friends.
Funeral
services were 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 19 at the First Baptist Church, Crab
Orchard with Rev. Richard Hill officiating. Burial was in the Crab Orchard
Cemetery.
Active
pallbearers were the grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Vandiver, Jimmy
Gover, Calvin Dunn, Henry Johnson, Glenn Smith, George Alcorn, and Delbert
Hawkins.
Martin
Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.

services for Jesse Lee Nunnelley, 88, of Hustonville, who died Friday, August 6,
at 7 p.m. in Fort Logan Hospital, were held at 2 p.m.
Sunday at W. L. Pruitt
Funeral Home in Moreland.
The
Revs., Larry Orange, Elmore Ray and Lee Parrish officiated with burial in Hustonville
Cemetery
Mr.
Nunnelley was a retired farmer, a native of Lincoln County and a member of New
Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors
include one son, Carlos Nunnelley of Hustonville; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hare
and Mrs. Helen Hovious, both of Hustonville; one sister, Mrs.
Clara Southward of
Sarasota, Fla.; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A
son, Jesse Nunnelley, Jr. died in October 1976, and Mr. Nunnelley's wife, Veda
Martin Nunnelley, died in July 1976.
Pallbearers
were Raymond Reed, Jack Pemberton, B. C. Norris, Jr., Eugene Dunn Jr., Bill

Saturday, July 7, at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

native of Lincoln County, she was a member of Stanford Christian Church and
daughter of the late Anna Phelps
and Richard Hocker.
Other
survivors include a granddaughter, Mary Cheryl Smith and a grandson, Britt
Robinson, both of Fort Worth, Texas and a nephew, Richard Baughman
of Atlanta,
Ga.
Services
were held Monday at 3 p.m. at Beazley, Raney, Speaks Funeral Home with minister
Tom Cole Phelps officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Active
pallbearers were Alfred Pence, Jr., J. W. Cherry, Larry Long, Bud Gover, Hurl
Durham and Walter Thomas.
Honorary
pallbearers were Foster Phillips, Morgan Pence, John A. Williams, James Clay

the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.

native of Lincoln County, she was born Nov. 3, 1890 to the late David Rice and
Nannie Collins Moore. She was a housewife and a member of the Christian Church.
She was the widow of Charles Nunnelley.
Survivors
include one daughter, Mrs. Oscar (Elinor) Camenisch, Stanford; 10 grandchildren,
19 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Pallbearers
were Chris Camenisch, Bobby Camenisch, J. B. Camenisch, Taylor Elliott, Ronnie
Jordan, Bruce Helm, and Bobby Davis.
Funeral
services will be held (tomorrow) Thursday, Dec. 3 at the Fox Funeral Home with
