STANFORD - Jason "Junior" Austin, 74, of Stanford, died Saturday at his home.

Born Jan. 12, 1933, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Jason and Emma Pearl Walls Austin. He was retired from General Telephone where he worked as a switchman. He also worked at Napier Real Estate and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher, trustee and Training Union teacher.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Sandra Amon Austin; four children, Aaron Austin of Stanford, Kellie Black (Randy) of Colleyville, Texas, and Marlon Austin and Cathy Frye, both of Lexington; two brothers, Glen Austin of Somerset and Kenneth Austin of Hustonville; two sisters, Edith Johnson and Shirley Maples, both of Hustonville; six grandchildren, Danielle and Alexa Black, Chad, Chelsea and Chase Austin and Jessica Frye.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at New Salem Baptist Church by the Revs; Austin Campbell and Matt Jones. Burial will be in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mike Bastin, Steve Austin, Trevor Austin, Larry McWhorter, Kent Ellis, Randy Black and Jim Bastin.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Graves, Doc Ray, Ronald McWhorter, Benny Smith, Earl Dean McWhorter, Keith Austin and Cecil Luster. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Tuesday at Spurlin Funeral Home.

Edith Marie Hogue Bodner, 84, of Moreland, died Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation in Danville.

A native of Lincoln County, she was born Sept. 18, 1922 to the late Richard Hallis and Bertha Ann Shelton Hogue. She was a homemaker, a member of Harris Creek Baptist Church where she was the past secretary, treasure, and song leader, and the widow of Clarence Bodner.

Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis Ann (Ray) Grubbs of Moreland; two grandchildren, Nelson Ray Grubbs and Tanya Leanne Martin; and five great grandchildren, Evan, Seth and Adam Martin and Colton and Madeline Grubbs.

Funeral services were Aug. 25 at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland with burial in the Hustonville Cemetery.

CRAB ORCHARD - Netta Rae Brock, 71, of Somerset, Ky., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at her home.

Netta was born Oct. 19, 1935, in Crab Orchard. She was the daughter of the late Delmar and Lula Singleton Manning. She was a member of the Senior Friend Organization at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and previously attended Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Audie Brock of Somerset; three daughters, Marlene Carr of Ponte Vedra, Fla., Carlene Brock and husband Richard Stuhler of Independence, and Rhonda and husband Roger Helderbrand of Burnside; a sister, Fannie Manning of Danville; two brothers, Gene and wife Liz Manning of Stanford, and John and wife Pam Manning of Preachersville; 10 grandchildren, Dustin Dale Brock, Jacob Dylan Brock, Carly Rae Brock, Shawn Michael Mullins, Zachary Adam Privette, Molly Shea Carr, Shane Allen York, Lelon Edward Lucy III, Lucas Wayne Lucy and Bradley Neal Helderbrand.

Netta was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Lula Manning, and a sister, Betty Mae Helton.

Pallbearers include Ricky and Curtis Gene Helton, Andrew Helton, Russ Wagner, Steve Hasty and Shane Allen York.

MORELAND - Bennie Allen Burris, 80 years old, of Hustonville, died Monday, August 13, 2007, in a farming accident.

Born January 30, 1927, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Stanley "Jack" and Rena Allen Burris. He was a farmer and a retired rural mail carrier. He was a member of Hustonville Christian Church where he was an elder and a board member. He was also a member of the Hustonville City Council, the Hustonville Ruritan and the Lincoln County Cattlemen's Association. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Murphy Burris; one son, E. Stanley (Jenny Ann) Burris of Hustonville; one daughter, Brenda (Phil) Nally of Lexington; two sisters, Elaine Wesley of Liberty and Lorene (Bill) Maupin of Campbellsville; four grandchildren, Chris (Katrina) Burris, Jennifer (Luke) Woodward, John (Shannon) Nally, and Jim Nally; and by three nieces and four nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hustonville Christian Church by the Rev. Don Burton with burial in Hustonville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Burris-grandson, John Nally-grandson, Jim Nally-grandson, Luke Woodward-grandson-in-law, Brad Wesley-nephew, Joe Ellis-nephew, Joe Maupin-nephew, and David Maupin-nephew. MORELAND - Rose Carpenter Dunn Carter, 84, of Hustonville, died Monday, August 13, 2007, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born July 22, 1923, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Kathleen McKinney Dunn. She was retired from PBK Bank, formerly Peoples Bank of Hustonville, and a member of Hustonville Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse C. Carter.

Survivors include her two daughters, Nancy Estes of Danville and Nona Dawson of Louisville; three grandchildren, Brian and Adam Dawson of Louisville and Crystal Estes of Danville; and a great-grandchild, Adam Anthony Dawson of Louisville.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Burton with burial in Hustonville Cemetery.

Julia Jenkins Caldwell, 94, of Waynesburg, passed away Tuesday, in Danville.

Born July 3, 1913, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of Harvey and Laura Floyd Jenkins. She was a homemaker, a member of Double Springs Baptist Church and worthy grand matron in the Waynesburg Order of the Eastern Star No. 501.

She was predeceased by her husband, A.K. Caldwell; four sons, Jerry K., Richard Lee, Marston and Michael Caldwell; three brothers, Orville, Estill and Ralph Jenkins; and two great-grandsons, Galen Stephen Caldwell and Ricky Dee Bustle.

Survivors include two sons, Galen Freeman Caldwell of Waynesburg and Gary R. Caldwell of Akron, Ohio; three brothers, John and William Jenkins, both of Kings Mountain, and James Jenkins of Florida; three sisters, Leona Dunham of Walltown, Lola Hubbard of Kings Mountain and Ruth Walls of Shelbyville; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by the Rev. Vola Brown. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

STANFORD - E. June Akom Castle, 84, passed away Aug. 9, 2007.

Born in Palestine, Ill., she lived most of her life in the Akron area and the last 20 years resided in Stanford, Ky. She retired from Society Bank after 20-plus years of service. She was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church in Stanford, Daughters of the American Revolution and Eastern Star, a past member of Akron Marine Corps Mothers Club, Vietnam Veterans Association, Fort Logan Hospital Foundation and Auxiliary, Ephraim McDowell Hospital Auxiliary, Barberton Citizens Hospital Auxiliary, National Wildlife Federation, Statue of Liberty Ellis Island Foundation, and was a World War II Memorial Charter member. She also belonged to Lincoln County Senior Center and Historical Society, and was a retired REACT and Red Cross worker.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Doyt W. Akom Sr. and Robert Castle Jr.; a brother, Otto Miller; and parents, George W. and Elizabeth M. Miller.

Survivors include her son, Doyt W. (Patty) Akom Jr. of North Carolina; a daughter, Colleen (Michael) McKenzie of Barberton, Ohio; grandchildren, Heather Scott of Barberton, Amy Nenninger and April Akom, both of Florida; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Derek, Bailey, Donovan, Chelsea and Bevington; brothers, George Miller of Arkansas. and C. STANFORD - Ronald H. Cox, 74, of Stanford, died Thursday at his home.

Born July 10, 1933, in Lancaster, he was a son of the late George Russell and Beulah Colson Cox. He was a rural mail carrier and had been a Realtor for Lincoln Realty and Ford Brothers. He was a member of Stanford Baptist Church and American Legion and member and past master of Lincoln Lodge 60, F&AM.

Survivors are his wife of 33 years, Pam Hobbs Cox; two sons, Rusty (Tina) Cox of Danville and Rodger Cox of Fairfield, Ohio, and a daughter-in-law, Lynn Cox of Westchesterfield, Ohio; a brother, Jerry Cox of Lexington, Ky.; four grandchildren, Charlie, Courtney, Ryan and Logan Cox; and two nephews.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs: Max Hester and Brad Curry. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Born May 28, 1929, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mary Asbery Crowe. He was retired from Jackson Chair where he had worked for 34 years as head of the maintenance department. He was also a farmer and cabinet maker.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Bernice Shell Crowe; two sons, Michael (Vickie) Crowe and Chris (Rosa) Crowe, both of Hustonville; three daughters, Kelly (Robert) Duncan and Dana (Jesse) Long, both of Junction City, and Terri (James) Carmichael of Danville; a brother, Elmer Crowe Jr. of Moreland; a sister, Edith Carrier of Hustonville; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

LOUISVILLE - The Rev. Vincent P. Dentinger, 79, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, in Louisville. He was ordained into priesthood May 8, 1954.

Father served as the pastor at St. Sylvester at Ottenheim and served the missions at Junction City and Stanford from 1977-1988.

He is survived by his sister, Anna Mae Barrett; six brothers, Robert L., the Rev. Roy E., Gerald B., James L., Richard A. and John P. Dentinger; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1960 Bardstown Road, Louisville, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.

George “Bucky” Elliott, 70, of Stanford, died Saturday, Aug. 25 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

A native of Lincoln County, he was born June 14, 1937 to the late Ransom Taylor “RT” Elliott and Ruby Garner Elliott. He was a farmer and a member of McKinney Christian Church.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Taylor Wesley Elliott, Charles W. Elliott, and John G. Elliott.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Lawrence Elliott of Stanford; one son, George B. (Kim) Elliott, Jr. of Stanford; one daughter, Tammy Lynn (Larry) French of Stanford; one brother, Joe R. Elliott of Stanford; four grandchildren, Dylana Gregory, Jordan Elliott, Amye French, and Jaycee Elliott; 12 nieces; and 10 nephews.

She was born Friday, Feb. 8, 1924, in Lincoln County, to the late Irvin and Nettie Soard Johnson.

Cloey was a homemaker and active in Boyle County Senior Citizens.

She was a member of Shelby Baptist Church and a choir member.

Survivors include two sons, Ray and Larry (Adele) Cottrell of Danville; a step-son, Joseph (Carol) Friedhof of Cincinnati; three daughters, Joella (Archie) Curtis of Junction City, Barb Sowders of Toledo, Ohio, and Carol (Tony) Estes of Junction City; a brother, Dallas (Helen) Johnson of Stanford; two sisters, Lola Johnson of Stanford and Lois (Garland) Vest of Danville; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Cloey was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1977; a step-son, Jimmy Friedhof; three brothers, Roscoe, Harold and Charles Johnson; and a sister, Hazel Walls.

Carroll B. Gooch, 76, of Stanford died Monday, July 16, 2007, at his home. Born November 20, 1930, in Lincoln County to the late William and Maggie Rankin Gooch. He was a farmer and a member of Stanford Christian Church. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Story Gooch; a son, Jeff Gooch (Cathy) and a daughter, Jan Hawkins (Doug) both of Louisville; two grandsons; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a brother, Howard Gooch and a sister, Virginia Goggin.

Visitation, Wednesday 5-9 P.M. Services will be July 19 at 2 P.M. at Spurlin Funeral Home. Reverend Max Hester will officiat the service.

WAYNESBURG - Gwendolyn Joyce "JoJo" Hardwick, 72, of Waynesburg, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, in Lincoln County.

Born May 9, 1935, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Allie Hale Stamper. She was valedictorian of the 1953 graduating class of Memorial High School. She was cook and lunchroom manager at Kings Mountain Elementary School for more than 20 years.

As a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, she was the ladies Sunday school teacher for 30 years.

Survivors include three sons, David Denny (Kathy) Hardwick and Mark Delyn (Pam) Hardwick, both of Waynesburg, and Michael Darren (Genia) Hardwick of Crab Orchard; a daughter, Sherrie Dawn (James) Tarter of Waynesburg; a sister, Delna Hilton of Tennessee; 10 grandchildren, Tiffany Kirkpatrick, Kallie Rae Rankin, Travis Hardwick, Gwen Warner, Jorden Hardwick, Adrienne Hardwick, Jared Hardwick, Cody Tarter, Jonathan Hardwick and Wade Hardwick; and a great-grandchild, Jackson Kirkpatrick.

Born April 4, 1938, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Loushel and Lizzie Baxter Justice.

Bobby Keltner, 73, of Stanford, formerly of Columbia, died Thursday, Aug. 16 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Born July1, 1934, he was a son of the late Hollis and Alice Blaydes Keltner of Columbia. He was a retired painting contractor and car salesman, a member of the Columbia United Methodist Church, and the widower of Joyce Neal McGowan Keltner and Laverne Gaskins Keltner.

He was also preceded in death by three infant brothers; and one infant sister.

Survivors include two daughters, Carlotta Keltner of Louisville and Bridget (Jeff) Singleton of Stanford; four grandchildren, Ashley Norvell, Brittany Sandusky, Corey Rogers, and Kelsey Singleton; and two great grandchildren, Abbey and Parker Norvell.

Funeral services were Aug. 19 at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Don Scilley officiating. Burial was in the Columbia Cemetery.

Born Sept. 14, 1950, in Stanford, Ky., he was the son of the late Bartley "Ted" Edward and Georgia Melton Kidwell. He was a former employee of ATR in Danville and a member of Neals Creek Methodist Church. John was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Vietnam War.

She was a retired Corning Glass employee and a lifetime member of Lambert's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert "Raz" McQueary Sr.; three brothers, J.W., Clay and Bob Graham; and two sisters, Deannie Kurtz and Mae Sharp.

Raymond Moore, 58, of Milton, died Tuesday, Aug. 7 at Hospice of Northern Kentucky Inpatient Unit in Fort Thomas.

A native of Lincoln County, he was born March 20, 1949 to the late Elisha and Marie Hays Moore. He enjoyed landscaping, the outdoors, country and gospel music, and was the widower of Nancy Westrick Moore.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Moore.

Survivors include two sons, Cody R. A native of Lincoln County, she was born July 11, 1931 to the late Jesse and Elsie Witt Faulkner. She was a licensed insurance agent for 40 years, a member of the Highland Methodist Church, and the widow of the Doyle McGuffey.

Survivors include three daughters, Jessica (David) Cornelius of Stanford, Kelly (Chris) Neskovski of Lebanon, Ohio and Becky (John) Cooper of Georgetown; one sister, Susan Gooch of Lexington; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were Sept. 3 at Highland Methodist Church with Bro. Don Scilley officiating. Burial was in the Highland Methodist Cemetery.

STANFORD - Geneva W. Owens, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on Monday, Aug. 6, 2007.

She was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Dunnville, Ky., to the late Thomas J. and Vina M. Wilkerson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul P. Owens, daughter, Sue Anne Owens Coleman, and grandson, Wade H. Owens.

Survivors include her daughter, Pauletta 0. Hightower of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas; and son, Tommy H. Owens of Stanford, Ky.; grandchildren, Laura A. Hightower, Julie J. Sweet and husband Nathan, Stephanie G. Coleman, Michele Stonecypher and husband Shane, Kassie Barnes and husband Dave, Hadden Owens and wife Nina, and Katie Beth Owens; great-grandchildren, who were a joy to her life, Patrick and Madeline Sweet, Trevor, Michela and Tanner Stonecypher, Taelor, Preston and Owen Barnes, and Tr and Olivia Owens.

She was from a family of nine children; and is survived by her sisters, Betty G. Ward of Willisburg, Thelma Baxter of Lancaster, Dean Johnston of Lexington, and Janice Carter of Florida.

Mrs. Owens was a graduate of Lindsay Wilson College and she began teaching in Casey County at the age of 17. She received advanced degrees at Eastern Kentucky University and taught science at Crab Orchard High School and English at Stanford High School. She ended her teaching career as an English instructor at Eastern Kentucky University. She was very civic minded and served on the City Council in Stanford for 14 years. She was named to Who's Who of American Women and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Stanford Christian Church.

The funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Spurlin Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Baughman officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Born Friday, October 3, 1924, in Lincoln Co., Ky., he was a son of the late Richard Leslie “Bud” Peek and Bessie Cox Peek. John was a member and former deacon of Locust Grove Baptist Church. He retired after 25 years as a school bus driver. John was a lifelong farmer. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran.

Born Feb. 21, 1926, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Stanton and Ethel Henson Rousey. He was retired from Texas Eastern where he worked for more than 30 years.

He was a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Stanford and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Rousey; two sons, Gary and Billy Rousey; and a grandson, David Randolph.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice (Billy) Randolph of Harrodsburg and Sue (John) King of Stanford; a brother, Henry Rousey of Alabama; and a sister, Charlotte Gibson of Moreland; six grandchildren, Scott and Chad Rousey, Debrorah Ristaneo, Leann Randolph, Rhonda Totman and Robbie Hair; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Chaplain Gary Story and Bro. Johnny Adamson. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Paul Ray Jeffries, Chris Cooper, Robbie Hair, Scott Rousey, Chad Rousey and Mike Totman.

STANFORD - James William Sheron, Sr., 81, of Stanford, passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at St. Joseph East in Lexington. He was born Tuesday, May 25, 1926, in Bellaire, Ohio, to the late J.T. and Ruby Pearl Hopper Sheron. He was a pastor for 43 years in Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi, served in the Navy from 1942 to 1946, received a bachelor's degree in theology from Trevecca Nazarene College in Nashville, TN, and was a member of Somerset First Church of the Nazarene. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jolene Edwards, a daughter-in-law, Brenda Sheron, and a brother, Bobby Sheron.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Nora Shearer Sheron of Stanford; two sons, Jimmy (Donna) Sheron, Jr., and Mike Sheron, both of Stanford; two daughters, Michele (Mark) Kirsch of Corydon, Ind., and Gail (Dennis) Barry of Newport News, Va.; two brothers, Raymond Sheron of Radcliffe, Ky., and Lindsay Sheron of Calhoun, Ga.; two sisters, Marjorie Gantt of Calhoun, Ga., and Dorothy Killion of Stanford; 12 grandchildren, Michael, Benji, Kevin and Jason Sheron, Buford Edwards, Susan Miller, Becky Seaford, Brian Leber, Nathan and Dustin Wiggs, Kodie and Amber Wehring; and 10 great-grandchildren, Michah Miller, Kallie, Kaiya, Skylar and Tesla Sheron, Brilie and Samantha Leber, and Kennedy, Owen and Triston Seaford.

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Fox Funeral Home with Bros. Ronald Wesley, Pete Gilliam and Hoke Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

CRAB ORCHARD - Hester Todd Smith, 80, of Crab Orchard, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at her home. She was the widow of James Louis Smith who preceded her in death Oct. 8, 2002.

Born Aug. 12, 1927, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Bernie Carl and Lora Reynolds Todd. She was a member of Mount Zion Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Alma Jean Noakes of Waynesburg, Ky.; four sons, Charles Ray Smith of Bardstown, Ky., Carl Smith, Lebanon Junction, Ky., Lonnie Smith of Crab Orchard, Ky., and Gary Smith of Lawrenceburg, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris McQueen of Cumberland, Ky., and Wanda Faye Baker of Lockland, Ohio; four brothers, Raymond Todd of Crab Orchard, Manford Todd of Columbus, Ind., Milford Todd of Dallas, Ga., and Robert Todd of Hamilton, Ohio.

MORELAND - Barbara Alice Wray Worthington Stagner, 68, of Junction City, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at her residence.

Born May 29, 1939, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Amanda Ann Coffman Wray. She worked at Genesco for 26 years and was a member of Bowen Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Stagner, and by a son, Randy Worthington.

Survivors include two sons, Marty and Tim Worthington; a stepson, Robbie Stagner; a stepdaughter, Shelley Robinson; two grandchildren, Chris Worthington and Alicia Staton; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Barnett, Tessa Staton and Zachery Allen Worthington; two step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and a step great-great grandchild.

Alex W. Stevens 78, of Raleigh Court, Danville, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at his residence. He was born March 9, 1928, in Madison Co., son of the late William Campbell and Louise Turpin Stevens. He was an educator, teacher, coach and principal. He graduate for Forkland High School in 1946 and earned his B.S. at Eastern Kentucky University in 1950 and his Masters in 1952. He coached and taught social studies at Owen Co. High School, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps earning the rank of Captain. During the 1950’s and 1960’s, Mr. Stevens farmed and owned an interest in the Bun Boy restaurant. He coached basketball and taught social studies at Winchester High School; was basketball coach and social studies teacher at Danville High School; was basketball coach at Centre College; principal, Lebanon High School; principal at Crab Orchard Elementary in Lincoln Co.; assistant principal and principal at Bate Middle School.

 He retired for education the first time in 1984. He was owner and principal broker of Stevens-McAnly Real Estate Co. He entered education again as assistant principal then principal of Boyle County Middle School. He also served in three elective positions on the Danville Board of Education from 1988- 91; the Danville City Commission from 1994 – 98 and as Mayor of Danville from 1998 – 2002. He was a member and past president of the Danville Kiwanis Club and past president of the Kentucky Middle School Association.

Mr. Stevens was a member of the First Christian Church of Danville where he taught a Sunday School Class for 40 years and served as Elder and Chairman of the Administrative Board. He is survived by his wife, Paige Dyche Stevens, Danville; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Liz Stevens, Danville; a daughter and son-in-law, Alexa and Victor Smith, Dayton, Ohio; two step-sons, David (Jennifer) Nahm, Chapel Hill, NC and Todd P. Nahm, Minneapolis, Minn.; two step-daughters and their husbands, Chris and Laura Nahm Lewis, Hamilton, Ohio and Andrew and Mary Robert Garrett, Chapel Hill, NC; 6 grandchildren and 1 step-grandson.
The funeral service will be 11 am, Saturday, at First Christian Church, Danville with Rev. Jerry Shepherd and Rev. Quentin Scholtz officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Stevens, Cole Stevens, Logan Smith, Stuart Smith, Victor Smith, David Nahm, Todd Nahm, and Mike Garriott. Honorary pallbearers will be the Garnett Pearce Sunday School Class. Visitation will be after 4 pm Friday at First Christian Church.  Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

WAYNESBURG - Mary Jane Stull, 85, of Kings Mountain, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at her residence.

Born Sunday, Dec. 14, 1921, in Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Lynna Cantrell Strickley. She was a homemaker and clerk in the family business and a member of Kings Mountain Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Stull; two daughters, Carole (Jerry) Moore of Kings Mountain and Sue (Bill) Buckman of Frankfort; a daughter-in-law, Judy Stull; five grandchildren, Gina Moore Douglas, Jerri Lynn Moore, Bruce Stull, Blake Buckman and Jennifer Stull; and five great-grandchildren, Brittany and Lauren Douglas, Shelby Stull, Dalton Buckman and Galen Stull.

Mary was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Stull.

Born Sept. 17, 1924, in Livingston, Ky., he was a son of the late A.D. and Lena Clark Tapp. He was retired from Stanford Wood Products, a Kentucky Colonel and the widower of Pauline Stringer Tapp.

Survivors include two sons, Douglas Ray Tapp (Pat) of Lancaster and Dewey Wayne Tapp of Stanford; a sister, Marceline Tedesco of Fort Myers, Fla.; two grandchildren, Michael Douglas Tapp and Melissa Kaye Tapp; and a great-grandchild, Kiersten Tapp. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Robbins.
