CRAB ORCHARD - Mae Cash Adams, 88, of Crab Orchard passed away on Saturday, Oct. 4th, 2008, at the Rockcastle County Hospital in Mount Vernon. She was the wife of the late Hubert Adams.

Mae was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 5, 1920. She was the daughter of the late John Alfred and Lovenia Alice (Wallace) Cash. She was a member of Ottawa Baptist Church.

Mae is survived by her two daughters, Carol (Pat) Buckler of Stanford and Nadene Newcomb of Stanford; and six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mae was preceded in death by her children, Donzeda and Ray Logsdon; brothers, Kermit and Clay Cash; and sisters, Jewell Brown and Ruby Taylor.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at Ottawa Baptist Church and will be officiated by Bro. Dan Gutenson and Bro. Jim Craig. Burial will be in Ottawa Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today, Oct. 5, 2008, at McKnight Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Adam Burdine, Randy Logsdon, Bob Taylor, Wayne Taylor, Allen Newcomb and Richard Cash.

STANFORD - Scotty Atkins, 46, of Stanford died Tuesday.

Born May 14, 1962, in Stanford, he was a son of the late Earl and Sally Sears Adkins. He was a sheet rock contractor.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Cook Atkins; two daughters, Candice and Jordan Atkins, and a son, Cory Atkins, all of Stanford; brothers, Earl Adkins, Wayne Adkins, Gary Adkins, Jeff Adkins and Timmy Adkins; and a sister, Belinda Luttrell.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Rick Naylor. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

William Arlie Anderson of Waynesburg died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. He was 67.
Born in Pulaski County on March 6, 1940, he was the son of the late William Trumie and Naomi Smith Anderson.
He was retired from the National Casket Co. and a member of Mt. Olive Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Byrd Anderson; a daughter, Patricia Kay (and Gerald) Martin of Eubank; a son, William Patrick (and Becky) Anderson of Waynesburg; three brothers, Elvis Anderson of Waynesburg, Rue Anderson of Eubank and Paul Anderson of Seymour, Ind.; two sisters, Mary Simpson and Shirley Sutton, both of Eubank; six grandchildren, Bridgett Blake, Brandon Durham, and Chase, Shelby, Cody and Casey Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Marlie and Nolan Blake; two step-grandchildren, Jerry and Andrew Martin; and three step-great-grandchildren, Caleb, Logan and Noah Martin.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Shea Singleton.
Funeral services were March 5 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel by the Revs. Greg Powell and Leslie Bentley. Burial was in Salyers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Patrick and Chase Anderson, Gerald and Jerry Martin, Stephen Blake, Brandon Durham and Aaron Brown.
Honorary pallbearers were Shelby, Cody and Casey Anderson, Bridgett Blake and Aaron Acton.

BRIDGMAN (Berrien Co, MI) -- Cynthia Anglemyer, 80, of Bridgman passed away on Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, at Lakeland Specialty Hospital, Berrien Center.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 at Boyd-Pike Funeral Home, Bridgman. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. Mrs. Anglemyer was born on Oct. 27, 1923, in King's Mountain, Ky. the daughter of the late Dr. Wallas and Eunice (Ball) Laswell. On Dec. 22, 1968, she married Willis "Bill" Anglemyer and he preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1994.

Survivors include one grandson, Todd Jenkins; two great-grandsons, Kyle and Alexander Jenkins; one brother, S. Parker Laswell of Taylor, Mich.; and one sister, Roberta Laswell of Columbus, Ohio.

Cynthia was also preceded in death by her son, Lewis Jenkins; and 12 brothers and sisters.

STANFORD - Thomas W. Barlow, 81, of Stanford died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 28, 1926, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late George W. and Dovie Ethel Coontz Barlow. He was the owner and operator of Lincoln Lumber Co., the former manager of Boyle Lumber Co. and a member of Standford Baptist Church, where he served as an organist and treasurer.

Survivors include his wife, Frankie Fletcher Barlow; two sons, Thomas W. Barlow of Harrodsburg and Mike Barlow of Danville; a daughter, Becky Carrier of Stanford; two sisters, Marie Riggles of Junction City and Barbara Adams of Nicholasville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Barlow.

The funeral is 2 p.m. today at Stanford Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Curry and the Rev. Max Hester. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Fred Reichenbach, Larry Oliver, Arnold Stogsdill, Johnny Jordan, Rodney Munford and Danny Jewell. Jessie Lawrence Barnett, Sr., 77, of Maywood Circle, Stanford, died Tuesday, Sept. 16 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington.

A native of the Betsy Community in Wayne County, he was born Monday, Nov. 24, 1930 to the late Luke Barnett and Ida Zella Young. He was a retired sewing machine mechanic having worked for Hayes Garment Co., Cowden’s and Creative Draperies, was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Caswell-Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion. He attended the Green River Pentecostal Church, enjoyed making wooden vehicles, collecting die cast cars, and NASCAR racing, and was the widower of Anna Lowe Barnett.

Survivors include a son, Jessie L. “Buster” (Angie) Barnett of Nicholasville; daughters, Vicki Arlene (William) McEwen of Lancaster, Donna Sue (Chuck) Puckett of Jonesville, N. C., Tina Marie (Johnny) Malacina of Nicholasville, and Jessica Marlene Barnett (Ben) Turpin of Stanford; a brother, Toddie Doyle (Wilma) Young of West Chester, Ohio; a sister, Kathy (John) Bott of Louisville; five grandchildren, Josh Goode, Katina Lockett, Laura Harris-Cheeseman, Stephanie Vandal and Jordan Mayes; and four great grandchildren, Alexander Hernandez, Zachary Lockett, Keria Lockett, and Whitney Goode.

Funeral services were Sept. 19 at Fox Funeral Home in Stanford with Rev. Rick Naylor officiating. Burial was in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery with military honors.

CRAB ORCHARD - Cassandra Louise Blanton, 24, of Lexington, formerly of West Liberty and Crab Orchard, died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, after injuries sustained in an automobile accident on I-64 near Mount Sterling, Ky.

She was the wife of Christopher Paul Blanton, whom she married Nov. 1, 2005.

Born Aug. 5, 1984, in West Liberty, Ky., she was the daughter of Edgar King and Reeca Prater. She was a student at Bluegrass Technical College in Lexington where she was studying radiology. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Christopher Paul Blanton of Lexington; a daughter, Aaliyah McCarty of Mount Sterling; a stepson, Jaydn Andrew Blanton of Crab Orchard; her parents, Edgar King and Reeca Lee Prater, both of West Liberty; sisters, Perdita Wireman of Lexington, Ralisha Howard of Flemingsburg, Betty Lou King of Irvine, and Christy King, Chrystal King and Carrie King, all of West Liberty; twin siblings, a sister, Nathena Madden of West Liberty, and a brother, Nathaniel Buck of Grayson; another brother, A.J. King of West Liberty; grandmother, Mable Nichol of West Liberty; and her foster parents, Mary and Less Marksberry of Olympia.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at McKnight Funeral Home by the Rev. Dan Gutenson. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at McKnight Funeral Home.

CRAB ORCHARD - Douglas W. "Poppy" Bryant, 59, of Crab Orchard died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at his home with his family by his side.

Born Thursday, May 12, 1949, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Theodore Bryant and Maxine Benschneider Bryant of Crab Orchard. Doug was a former charging technician for Enersys, where he worked for 32 years. He was a member of the NRA, Crab Orchard Baptist Church and attended Watts Chapel Baptist Church. Doug will be remembered as a devoted worker for Enersys, a collector of all types of swords and guns and loved to garden and farm.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Foley Pettit Bryant of Crab Orchard; a son, Stephen W. (Angela) Bryant of Stanford; two daughters, Stephanie Lynn (James) Hacker of Crab Orchard and Jessica (Kevin Clements) Thomas of Liberty; a stepson, Bryan Kincaid of Harrodsburg; a stepdaughter, Kristy Peavyhouse of Stanford; his mother, Maxine Bryant; a brother, Larry Bryant of California; a sister, Rhonda Bryant of Crab Orchard; nine grandchildren, Christin Dennison, Casey Thompson, Trenton and Dylan Bryant, Jamie and Jesse Hacker, Kayleigh Kincaid, Chelsea and Hunter Peavyhouse; and two twin great-granddaughters, Gwendolyn and Haley Dennison.

He is preceded in death by his father, Theodore; and a brother, Jesse Reynolds.

An Appreciation of Life Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Fox Funeral Home by Bro. Dan Gutenson with burial to follow in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

STANFORD - Rodman Glenn Burton, 43, of Stanford died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Nov. 12, 1964, in Stanford, he was a son of J.B. Burton and the late Aline Hazlett Burton. He was a farmer, an employee of Caterpillar in Danville for 10 years and a former employee of Saufley Implement. He was a graduate of Somerset Vocational School and a certified diesel mechanic. He was a member of Southfork Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Brittany Kaye Burton of Stanford; a brother, John D. Burton of Stanford; three sisters, Debbie Lynn Wilson (Stacey) of Hustonville, Jennifer Rose Burton of Palatka, Fla., and Linda Gail Acey (Michael) of Perryville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John B. Burton Jr.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. Curtis Brock, Max Hester and Stacey Wilson. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Born Nov. 13, 1952, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Boyd and Laura Miracle. She was a hostess at the William Whitley House State Historic Site for 10 years and a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church. She was the widow of Larry Dean Carter.

Survivors include a daughter, LaTonya Anderson of Nicholasville; a son, Steven Carter of Crab Orchard; a sister, Marilyn McCammon of Cincinnati; and five grandchildren.

Born Dec. 14, 1915, in Boyle County, she was a daughter of the late Killis and Bethel Combs Dawson. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastern Star, Stanford Homemakers Club and Stanford Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Elliott of Bardstown and Allan Elliott of Lexington; a daughter; Sandra King of Richmond; a brother; Owen Dawson of Holiday, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Born in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late David and Jenny (Walters) Ferris Morris.

Survivors include her husband, Maurice Fletcher; a son, David Fletcher; a daughter, Diane Sherman; two grandchildren; a brother, Bruce Morris of Stanford; and a sister, Carolyn Morris Cooper of Stanford. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Aleene Morris and Helen Morris Rankin.

Ben “Benny” William Gabbert, Jr., 63, of Waynesburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 16 at his residence.

A native of Lexington, he was born Wednesday, Dec. 20, 1944 to the late Ben W. and Helen Broaddus Gabbert. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors degree in animal science, was a farmer, employed as a feed salesman and territory representative of Burkmann Mills, an avid UK sports fan, and an active member of Waynesburg PTO, Lincoln County Cattleman’s Association, and St. Mildred’s Catholic Church in Somerset.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Smith Gabbert of Waynesburg; one daughter, Nicole Leigh (Larry) Walls of Waynesburg; two brothers, Ronald Dean (Sharon) Gabbert and Edward L. (Rosie) Gabbert, both of Williamstown; a sister, Alice Jane (Buddy) Ingram of Dry Ridge; and two grandchildren, Carly Elizabeth and Steven Thomas Walls.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home in Waynesburg.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 20 at St. Mildred’s Catholic Church in Somerset with Father Patrick Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Double Springs Cemetery, Waynesburg.

STANFORD - Adrian W. Gooch Sr., 84, of Stanford passed away Saturday at his residence.

Born Feb. 23, 1924, in Lancaster, Ky., he was the son of the late John Henry and Azile Elam Gooch. Adrian was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where he served as a rural carrier on route 4 in Stanford and as postmaster in Crab Orchard. He also was employed by the Lincoln County PVA office, serving under Denny Lair and David Gambrel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II in Germany with the 487th Medical Collecting Co. He served on the Stanford Planning and Zoning board and was a member of Stanford Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, to whom he was wed on Sept. 17, 1948, Mildred Rambo Gooch of Stanford; two sons, Adrian W. Gooch Jr. and wife Marie of Eynon, Pa., Steven W. Gooch and wife Liz of Somerset, Ky.; a daughter; Linda S. Fritsch and husband Scott of Russellville, Ky.; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home with Bro. Virgil Horseman officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

CRAB ORCHARD - Sue Beth Baker Gourley, 81, of Stanford died Sunday evening, Oct. 26, 2008, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born July 7, 1927, in Crab Orchard, she was a daughter of the late James and Josephine Wilson Baker. She was the widow of Carl Gourley, who preceded her in death July 24, 1994. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and a former employee of Palm Beach Co.

Survivors include two daughters, Norma Gourley of Moreland and Tina (Shannon) Reynolds of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren; a stepgrandson; five great-grandchildren; a stepgreat-grandchild; and two sisters, Ella Mae Edwards and Beulah Ball, both of Crab Orchard.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Gourley Edwards, on April 26, 2000; five brothers, Clayton, Richard, Ishmael, Harold and Frank Baker; and a sister, Rose Holman.

Services will be noon Wednesday at McKnight Funeral Home by Bro. Ralph Baker. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Matthew and Michael Reynolds, Tim and Bryan Dunaway, Kenneth Portwood and Nick Edwards.

Norman Green, 76, died Sept. 24, 2008, at his residence.

Born June 28, 1932, in Lincoln County, Ky., he was a son of the late John W. and Lillie Smith Green. A Korean War Army veteran, Norman also was a farmer, co-owner of the Yellow Cab Co., a real estate investor and owner of the Coffee Cup Restaurant in Danville.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Akers Green; a son, Norman J. (Rhonda) Green Jr. of Danville; two daughters, Michele G. Lynch of Danville and Melissa G. Opal Groenenberg, 83, of Pleasant Point School Road in Waynesburg, Ky., passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at Britthaven Nursing Home.She was born in Waynesburg on Feb. 27, 1925, daughter of the late Mitchell and Ethel Brittain Godby. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasantview Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Sue (and Michael) Russell of Troy, Mo.; one brother, Jessie Franklin Godby of Waynesburg; two sisters, Agnes Marie Kidd and Flossie Smith, both of Waynesburg; two grandchildren, Mark Russell of Bellflower, Mo., and Sherry Brown of Warrenton, Mo.; and one great-grandson, Alex Brown of Warrenton, Mo.

CRAB ORCHARD - Charles E. Hackley, 84, of Stanford, Ky., died late Tuesday evening, Oct. 14, 2008, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

He was the husband of Dorothy Brannan Hackley, whom he married May 15, 1953. He was born March 17, 1924, in Lincoln County to the late Maret Milner Hackley and Leathor Gertrude Bowling Hackley. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, having served during World War II, and a former Kentucky State Police officer. He was a Kentucky Farm Bureau board member for 24 years, and a member of Cedar Creek Lake Planning Commission and Cedar Creek Sportsman Club. He also was a member of Hebron Lakeside Church.

Mr. Hackley was named the Lincoln County Farmer of the Year in 2002 and was given the Crab Orchard High Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2007. He was a seven-time recipient of the P&D farm machinery company outstanding sales and service award.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Brannan Hackley of Stanford; two sons, James Robert (Linda) Hackley of Lexington, Ky., and John Elliot Hackley of Stanford; a daughter, Joan Elaine Hackley of Stanford; a sister, Ann (Rudolph "Buddy") Wyler of Stanford; grandchildren, John Talbot Hackley and Sarah Rose Hackley, both of Stanford; a stepgrandson, Randolph Scott Cobb of Lexington; nephews, Paul (Susan) Wyler of Lancaster, David Wyler of Shepherdsville, Ky., and Chris (Colleen) Wyler of Kingsport, Tenn.; great-nieces, Debbie Wyler of Shepherdsville and Laura Wyler of Bardstown; and a great-nephew, Christian Wyler of Lancaster.

She was born April 26, 1927, in Lincoln County to the late Ivan and Oma Griffin Denson. She was a loving mother and homemaker who dearly loved her family. Her favorite hobby was fishing.

CRAB ORCHARD - Eddy Wayne Hopkins, 55, of Crab Orchard passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at his home. He was the husband of Suanne Phillippe Hopkins, whom he married on June 24, 1972.

Born on March 17, 1953, in Stanford, Ky., he was the son of Elby and Loretta Naylor Hopkins of Crab Orchard. Eddy was a former employee of Whirlpool, having worked 24 years, and a member of Crab Orchard Church of Christ. Eddy was a well-known Bluegrass musician and a member of Eddy Hopkins and Son Bluegrass Band and the Blue Dawg Kentucky New Grass Band.

Other survivors include his wife, Suanne Hopkins of Crab Orchard; a son, Adam and wife Jeana Hopkins of Harrodsburg; a brother, Lester and wife Shelley Hopkins of Crab Orchard; sisters, Sandy and husband Marshall Scott of Crab Orchard and Chelsea Hopkins of Crab Orchard; two grandchildren, Aubrey and John Mason; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Hopkins, on Aug. 26, 1994.

Morris C. Johnson, 83, of Stanford, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at his home. He was born Tuesday, June 16, 1925, in Lincoln County to the late Luther Morris and Allie Mae Siler Johnson. He was a retired employee of Corning Glass, a farmer, a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the D.A.V. Morris will be remembered for his love of hunting and the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nollie Fay Mason Johnson; and his sisters, Frances Montgomery, Irene McDarment and Gladys Mae York.

He is survived by his son, Rockey (Linda Swessel) Johnson of Louisville; his siblings, Margaret Hunt of Rising Sun, Ind., Raymond Johnson of Stanford, Fannie Crawford of Stanford and Hazel (Ray) Wilder of Stanford; his grandchildren, Brandon and Catherine Johnson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Charles W. Moore, 86, of Geneva, died Saturday, Sept. 27 at his residence.

A native of Lincoln County, he was born Sunday, Jan. 29, 1922 to the late Raymond and Mattie Pearl Carrier Moore. He was a Lincoln County deputy sheriff from 1978-1982, worked in masonry, was a member of Redemption Road Church, an avid fisherman, honorary member of Green River Mussel Loaders, and a World War II Army private first class, Company G, 339th Infantry and recipient of a Purple Heart.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy R. Moore; a great grandson, Eric R. Maples; three brothers Frank, Glenn, and Walton Moore; and one sister, Barbara Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Ella B. Atkins Moore; three daughters, Anna Pearl Moore of Hustonville, Linda R. (Johnny) Propes of Liberty, and Vickie C. (Darryl) Graves of Stanford; three brothers Freddie Moore of Chase City, Va., Benny Moore of McKinney, and Larry Moore of Geneva; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren.

STANFORD - Thomas O. "Buster" Ralston, 82, of Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Stanford, died Friday at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers.

He was born May 30, 1926, in Cincinnati to the late Effie Ralston Walker and George Walker Jr. of Corbin. Thomas was a civil engineer for Kentucky Transportation Cabinet for 20 years and left as a resident engineer. He retired from L.P. Cavett Co. after 17 years of service as vice president and general manager. He was a member of Watson's Chapel Christian Church. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, a Mason with Lodge 392 of Mintonville for 60 years, and a 32-degree Shriner with Valley of Cincinnati and Syrian Shrine of Cincinnati.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor C. Ralston of Fort Myers; three sons, Jeffrey C. (Terrie) Ralston of Stanford, Thomas A. (Jane) Ralston of Lexington and Stephen W. (Haley) Ralston of Highland; four stepdaughters, Patricia Goins of Lakeland, Fla., Janice Selby and Becky (Nick) Clemmons, both of Fort Myers, and Debbie (Mark) Cobain of Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; 15 stepgrandchildren; and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren. Born Nov. 5, 1948, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Grover and Alta Coppage Reid. She was a member of Ellisburg Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Cindy Reed and Kim King, both of Campbellsville; two brothers, Gary and Richard Reid, and two sisters, Patricia Turpin and Debbie Morgan, all of Hustonville; and three grandchildren.

Ronald Howard Rousey, 61 of Versailles passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born Dec. 2, 1946 in Casey County, he was the son of Howard and Helen Sharp Rousey of Danville (formerly of Casey County). He was a Baptist and a former partner of R & R Drywall and Acoustics, Inc. in Lexington.

Other survivors include his wife, Jolean Warren Rousey; a daughter, Brittany Jean Rousey; a son, Michael Shane Rousey and a step-son, Dustin Allen Flannery, all of Versailles; and 1 brother William L. “Billy” (Lois) Rousey of Danville. Ted Saylor, of Somerset, formerly of Crab Orchard, died Monday, Sept. 15 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.

A native of Lincoln County, he was born Aug. 5, 1949 to Blanche Hopkins Saylor of Crab Orchard and the late Jack Saylor. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Other survivors include two sisters, Linda Dowell and Lillie Mae Parker both of Crab Orchard; two brothers, Truman and Tom Saylor of Crab Orchard; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. today (Sept. 18) at McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard with Bros. Thaddeus Eubank and Arnold Larkin officiating. Burial will be in Hopkins Family Cemetery.

STANFORD - Mary Lorene Stonebraker, 84, of Culleoka, Tenn., died Thursday.

Born Sept. 7, 1924, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Obie and Minnie McCowan Martin. She was a retired baker and the widow of Howard S. Stonebraker.

Survivors include her children, Kenneth, Keith, Kevin and Keenen Stonebraker, Janice Lide, Joyce Melnar and Judy Tyree; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Interment will take place at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Services will be noon Monday at Fox Funeral Home.

Minnie Jane Phillips Taylor, 86, of Stanford, widow of Silas Taylor, died Sept. 29, 2008.

Born July 7, 1922, in Stanford, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Reed T. and Nannie Troxell Phillips. She was retired from Palm Beach Co.

Survivors include two sons, James Taylor and Silas Taylor Jr.; two daughters, Jane Porier and Regina Taylor; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Taylor.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home and Family Center in Junction City. Burial will be in Moreland Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Eileen May Wall; a daughter, Glenna J. Wall of Kettering, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Tommy May of Liberty; a sister-in-law, Frances Wall of Stanford; and nieces and nephews.

Born Nov. 9, 1949, in Lincoln County, he was a son of Jesse Reynolds Wall and the late Earl Lee Wall. He was retired from Whirlpool and Panasonic after 35 years and a member of Scotts Fork Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Moberly Wall; a son, Joey Wall of Lancaster; a brother, Billy Ray Wall of Walltown; and a sister, Patsy McLaren of Stanford;

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Revs. Ralph Sallee, Bryce McCulley and Erwin Ray. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Harry Howard, Charlie Christopher, Don Rinthen, Kenneth Harlow, Connelly Sims, Kenneth Anderson, Mike Preston and Holton Howard. Honorary pallbearers are deacons and elders of Scotts Fork Christian Church.
