MORELAND — William G. “Dooney” Adams, 70, of McKinney, died Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at Lancaster Christian Care Center.
Born July 22, 1940, he was the son of the late Willie G. and Myrtle Miracle Adams. He retired from Sargent & Greenleaf in
Nicholasville where he worked as a lock-maker for 20 years. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include a son, Richard Lee (Julie) Adams of McKinney; a daughter, Missy Braden of McKinney; two sisters, Louise Polston of Danville and
Delane Hayes of McKinney; a grandchild, Brandi Nicole (Tony) Adkins of Highland; and a great-grandchild, Alison Adkins. He was preceded in death by a daughter,
Peggy, and a brother, Wayne Adams.Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Grace Fellowship Church by Bro. Vola Brown, with burial in New Salem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Adams, William Trent Adams, Kevin Carrier, Tony Adkins, Brandon Hines and Kevin Hayes. Honorary pallbearers are Richard
Frederick and the HSC Unit girls at the Christian Care Center.

Mrs. Irene DeBorde Benge, age 83, of Brodhead, Kentucky passed away on Friday, June 10, 2011 at her home.

Irene entered into this life on October 14, 1927 in Lincoln County, Kentucky, the daughter of George and Lavina Brock DeBorde, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage on June 2, 1945 to Casper “Cap” Benge. She was a homemaker, and spent her days loving and caring for her family. Irene was a devoted member of the
West Brodhead Church of God and will be remembered for her love of reading her Bible, cooking for family gatherings, solving crosswords and working jigsaw puzzles.

Irene will be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Reggie Benge and his wife Phyllis of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky, Roger Benge of Nicholasville, Kentucky and Tim Benge of
Brodhead, Kentucky; four daughters and one step daughter: Janie Robbins and her husband Chester of Brodhead, Kentucky, Rita Brumett and her husband Jim of Gray Hawk,
Kentucky, Kathy Denney and her husband Jerry of Brodhead, Kentucky, Vicki Benge of Brodhead, Kentucky and Mae Etta VanHook and her husband Don of Eubank, Kentucky;
fourteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; two sisters: Wanda Johnson of Mitchellsburg, Kentucky and Bonnie
Overbay of Brodhead, Kentucky; one brother: Arnold DeBorde of Stanford, Kentucky and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

She is preceded in death by her parents: George and Lavina Brock DeBorde, her husband: Cap Benge; and two brothers: Eugene Benge and Winfred DeBorde.

Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Benge will be conducted on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 11am at the West Brodhead Church of God with Bro. Terry Orcutt officiating.
Interment will follow in the Negro Creek Cemetery.

MORELAND — David C. “Tommy Toe” Brown, 67, of Martinsville, Ind., died Thursday.
Born May 7, 1944, he was the son of the late Luther L. and Maggie Vaught Brown. He was retired from Roadway Express, where he had worked for 25 years as a switcher.
He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Martinsville, Ind., and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Sharpe Kress Brown; two stepsons, Kevin and Darin Kress, both of Bloomington, Ind.; five brothers, Elwood Brown, Charles Brown, Ervin
Brown and Hershel “Bud” Brown, all of Hustonville, and Michael Brown of Indiana; four sisters, Opal Smiley of Lexington, Geneva Jeffries of Hustonville, Ruby Sewell of Nicholasville
and Brenda Pemberton of Danville; five grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Allison, Brian and India Ray Kress.
Services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Bro. James Lynn with burial in Hustonville Cemetery with Military rites.
Pallbearers are Greg, Scott and Courtney Jeffries, Seth Ellis, Kenny Hensley and David Smiley. Honorary pallbearers are Vernon Richards and D.C. Wilcher.

Mrs. Lula Mae Brown, age 72 of Brodhead, Kentucky went home to be with her heavenly Father on Monday July 11, 2011. She was born on September 20, 1938 in
Lincoln County, Kentucky, a daughter of Robert and Margaret Bowen, both whom preceded her in death. She was a retired quilter and a retired seamstress at Rockcastle Manufacturing.
She attended the Beulah Church of God in Eubank, Kentucky. She enjoyed her family, her church and quilting.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband of 54 years Hubert J. Brown; One son: David Brown (Betty) of Brodhead, Kentucky; Two daughters: Elaine Merrick ((Dave) of Somerset,
Kentucky and Marilyn McKinney of Brodhead, Kentucky; Six grandchildren: Jay McKinney, Michael McKinney, Jeffery McKinney, Susan Brown, Jennifer Brown Owens,
and Amanda Vann Thomas; Three great-grandchildren: Abigail Mae Owens, Madeline McKinney and Iverson Isaiah Thomas; Six brothers and eight sisters; And
a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by one infant brother Johnny Bowen.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Lula Mae Brown will be conducted on Thursday July 14, 2011 at 1 pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals chapel with Sister
Jessica Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery.

Johnny Ray Carmack, 60 of Eubank, passed away on Friday, July 29th, 2011 at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford. Born on March 22nd, 1951 in Pulaski County to the late Jame
Herbert & Lizzie Mae Rogers Carmack . Johnny was a former security guard and farm worker; he loved bluegrass music and playing the banjo and was a member of Miracle Temple Church.
Survivors include his brother Elmer (Gerry) Carmack of Waynesburg; sisters Alice Carmack of Eubank and Carrie Bullock Anderson of Eubank.
Johnny was preceded in death by his brothers Charles, Albert, and Tom Carmack; sisters Lucille Pike and Ruby Carmack.
Services for Johnny will be at 1pm, Thursday, August 4th, 2011 at Miracle Temple Church on Cemetery Road in Waynesburg with Rev. Bertran Hall officiating. Burial will follow in

The funeral of Howard D. Coleman, who was killed in the wreck in Louisville Monday morning, was conducted at his late home on East Main Street by Rev. W. F Arnold, of
Flemingsburg, assisted by Rev. P. J. Ross, of this place, Wednesday afternoon. The services were most appropriate and impressive and an immense crowd gathered to pay their
respect to the popular young man, whose life was taken when he was so full of youth and promise. The procession to the grave was one of the longest seen here in years and beautiful
flowers in profusion were sent by friends who admired the excellent young man and who deeply sympathize with the parents and other members of the family in their irreparable loss.
Mr. Colman's death is indeed a sad one and is proof of the quotation that "in the midst of life we are in death." A number of friends from a distance attended the burial, including Messrs.
George Land, of Lexington, F. J. Reinicke and G. T. Rider, of Louisville, J. W. Newland, I. L. Griffy, W. J. Howard and J. C. Ritchie, East Bernstadt, and others mention in our personal column.

LANCASTER — Sharon B. Dale, 74, of Lancaster Road, Stanford, died Monday.She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Dale, and
parents George and Drusilla Williams Bailey. Sharon owned rental properties and was a member of Lancaster Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Janice Rowe of Stanford; a brother, George Bailey Jr. of North Carolina; and five sisters, Susan Sowder of Lancaster, Janet Parsons of
Louisville, Martha Moore of Florida, Shelia Kidd of Stanford and Barbara Bailey of California.

Harold Jefferson Davenport, 80, husband of Phyllis Jean Popplewell Kidd Davenport, died Friday, June 4, 2010, at Charleston Health Care Center.

Born August 10, 1929, in Lincoln County, he was the son of Frank and Earsie Jane Nolan Davenport.

He was the owner and retired from Davenport Motor Parts in Danville. Harold was a member of First Baptist Church and a member and spokesman for
Gideons International. He was an avid golfer.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two sons, Gary Davenport of Danville and Kevin (Carmen) Davenport of Washington, D.C..; three stepchildren, Susan
(Eddie) Arnold of Danville, Tim (Robin) Kidd of Harrodsburg and Ginny (Tom) Robinson of Frankfort; one brother, Kenneth (Audrey) Davenport of Danville; a
sister-in-law, Dorothy Davenport of IN; a brother-in-law, Quincie Blevins of Danville; and three grandchildren, Austin, Shawn and Chris Davenport.

Harold was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Marvin Davenport, and a sister, Betty Blevins.

The funeral service was conducted Tuesday, June 8, at the Stith Funeral Home, Danville, with Rev. Tim Mathis officiating. Burial was in Danville Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were George Coldiron, Jackie Warren, Bill Leonard, Don Rightmyer, Rev. Steve James and Earl Pinkston.

Palmer Hagan. She was the widow of William E. "Bill" Folger. She was a clerk in the Lincoln County Clerk's Office while her husband Bill Folger was the County Clerk and she
was member of the Stanford Christian Church.

Survivors include three children, Nancy Caldwell (Larry) of Stanford, Bobby Folger (Sylvia) of Crossville, TN and Curt Folger, (Melissa) of Stanford; Eight grandchildren,

Polly entered this life on June 13, 1938 in Lincoln County, Kentucky the daughter of Alfred and Sadie Wrenn Hacker, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage on February 28, 1957 to Raymond Harris and to this union came three children to richly bless their home. Polly was a farmer and a homemaker and spent
her days loving and caring for her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ and will be remembered for her love of flowers and gardening.

Polly will be lovingly remembered by her four children: Barbara Estes and her husband Alfred of Beattyville, Kentucky, Shirley Maples and her husband Frank of Brodhead, Kentucky,
Earna Volk of Lebanon, Kentucky, and Randall Lee Harris of Brodhead, Kentucky; two grandchildren: Matthew Frank Maples and Billy Ray Bowling; two brothers: Hershel

CRAB ORCHARD — Burthal O. Hendrickson, 77, died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. He was the husband of Mary Taylor Hendrickson.

Born April 20, 1934, in Crab Orchard, he was a son of the late Homer and Sarah Warren Hendrickson. He was a farmer and a member of Crab Orchard Church of God.

Other survivors include four sons, Dale (Vickie) Hendrickson, Allen (Tammy) Hendrickson, James (Lori) Hendrickson and David (Mary) Hendrickson; a stepdaughter, Sandra

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Hendrickson; three brothers, Bobby Ray, Otis and Earl Hendrickson; and a grandson, Joshua Mark Hendrickson.

CRAB ORCHARD — Donald R. Hooker, 76, of Sharonville, Ohio, formerly of Stanford, Ky., died Monday, July 4, 2011.
He was the devoted husband of the late Sonja Kay Howard Hooker; loving father of Don (Mary Jane), Karen, Kevin (Cheryl), Scott and the late Jeffrey; and proud
grandfather of 12. He also is survived by his brother, Foster (Ann) Hooker of Danville. Donald leaves behind numerous family members and friends.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Schmidt-Dhonau-Kucner Funeral Home, 10980 Reading Road, Sharonville, Ohio.

Glancy L. Hogue, 70, of Liberty died Tuesday January 12, 2010 in Harrodsburg.

Born April 15, 1939, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late James and Naomi Smith Hogue. 

He was retired from the state highway department and a member of Grove Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include: three sons, Chris Hogue of Stanford, Craig Hogue of Liberty and Cliff Hogue of Burnside; one sister, Kathleen Durham of Hamilton, Ohio; and eight grandchildren.

Services were held Sunday, January 17, at the Bartle Funeral Home in Liberty. Burial was in Middleburg Cemetery.

Obituary of Mr. J. W. James. 

Crab Orchard, KY., Feb 27 - On February 25, near the somber hour of midnight, the noble and generous spirit of Mr. J. W. James, the noblest man that ever lived in all the
tide of time, took its flight from his elegant home to a far more splendid mansion in the skies.  He was not yet 45 and no man, not even his lamented father, the late G. W. James, will be
so sadly missed by the poor and humble. He has had many work hands in his service, and when any servant or ex-servant died, he always gave him appropriate burial at his own
expense.  When some poor black woman, sick and out of coal and provisions, both would be sent at his own expense in his own wagon. 
On one occasion, a poor destitute man with a withered arm passing his place of business with an empty meal sack on his shoulder, and a coffee sack in which he had three hens, the
only property he had in the world, stopped in to warm. Willie said, 'what have you there, Bill, a possum?' 'No' .. 'How are possums?' 'Mighty scarce.'  'How are times with you?' 
'Mighty hard. I have in my sack my only three hens. The only things I have in the world.
I am taking them to the store to buy me some meal and coffee.'  'Look here at this paper and see what your hens are worth in the market, 68 cents apiece. Take them back
home to lay you some eggs, and take this dollar to buy you some coffee and meat, and take your meal sack up to my miller and tell him to fill it as full of meal as he can tie it.'

He gave more to preachers, churches, Sunday schools, Christmas trees, and often fed the hungry---because he could not eat!  His donations amounted annually to the hundreds.

Frank Brooks said on the train today, "The death of Will James is breaking up the noblest
family that ever lived in Lincoln County."

His place here can never be supplied. His fortune was ample, his cash capital in the thousands, and his pockets always full to meet the demands of the borrower and the beggar.

I never saw such universal sorrow expressed in all ranks of life. At his burying were the proud aristocrats and the poor tenant, working men and their wives and their
little children shivering in the snow. At Stanford, Monday morning, much grief was expressed by such men as Cicero Reynolds, County Clerk George B. Cooper and the editor
of the Interior Journal, all of whom had had business relations with him.

He was for some time clerk in the J. B. Owsley bank at Stanford, and was a devoted friend of the venerable financier, whose confidence he enjoyed.

Deceased was twice married. His first wife was Mattie Owsley Evans, daughter of the late George W. Evans and his present wife was Margaret, daughter of the noble
old Scotchman, the late John Buchanan. His wives were both excellent women of first families, and his last wife is noted for her domestic qualities. The deceased left no

George Andrew James, dual orphans, whose father gave his life in service as a soldier in the far away Philippines, came up from Stanford to mingle their tears over the grave of the dear departed.

Bessie Mae Key, 65, of 726 Fairview Court, died Friday, September 7, 2001 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Born October 2, 1935 in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late J. Leon and Isabella McCormack Davis and was the widow of George Wallace Key.

She was a retired Registered Nurse for Haggin Memorial and Kentucky State Hospitals. She was a member of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church, Kentucky
Nursing Association, and the Pioneer Saddle Club.

Survivors include: one son, George Key Jr., Moreland; one daughter, Linda F. Harmon, Mercer County; one step daughter, Suela Wright, Lexington; two brothers, Philip
Davis, Trenton, OH, Harold Davis, Harrodsburg; one sister, Frances Teater, Middletown, OH; eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Lee Key.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 9, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, with Rev. John Contini officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Born June 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Bennett and Ollie Qualls Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Everett Maples and a great-grandson.

She was the loving mother of three sons, Ronald (Ruby) Maples of Lancaster, and Lonnie (Wilma) Maples and Bobby (Rosemary) Maples, both of Stanford; and four daughters, Deanna
(Richard) Kuehl, Vivian Coleman, Gayle (Thomas) Breeding and Paula Maples, all of Harrodsburg. Other survivors include two sisters, Thelma Gorley and Shirley Coleman; 16 grandchildren;
23 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Lou Bugg and Ron Grote.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stanford First Church of God, where she was a charter member, by Dr. Harold Harness and the Rev. Bud Bastin.

Maxine entered this life on November 24, 1918 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky the daughter of Forrest and Roxie Reynolds Foley, both of whom preceded her in death.
She was united in marriage on January 4, 1937 to Basil Moore, and to this union came 5 children to richly bless their home. Maxine spent her days as a homemaker loving and caring for her family.
She was a member of the Brodhead Christian Church and will be remembered for her love of fishing and reading.

Maxine will be lovingly remembered by her children: James Ray Moore and his wife Louise of Morehead, Kentucky; Sarah Taylor and her husband Eugene of Brodhead,
Kentucky; Mary Ponder and her husband C.C. of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; and Judy Owens and her husband Marvin of Brodhead, Kentucky; 10-grandchildren: Robert Paul, James

member of Fairview Baptist Church. David also enjoyed driving around his community and saying hello to anyone he happened to pass along the way.

Born March 25, 1918, in Ellisburg, Ky., he was the son of the late Jesse Carl and Mary Bell Ellis Porter. He owned Porter Trucking Co., was a member and deacon at
First Baptist Church and a long-time member of Franklin Masonic Lodge No. 28, Oleika Temple and Wilderness Shrine Club.

Survivors include a son, James Thomas Porter of Danville; a foster daughter, Teresa Williams Godbey of Seneca, S.S.; his good friend, Benny Goode of Danville; several
nieces and nephews, including Lily Ann Porter and Larry Porter, both of Liberty, Ky.; and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Gary Mitchell Porter.

DeLois "Lois" Stull Raby went home to be with the Lord on July 17,2011, just 12 days shy of her 89th birthday. She was born on July 29, 1922 in Kings Mountain, Kentucky to John and Mattie (Privett) Stull.
She was the 5th of 6 children. She has one surviving brother, Carlton (wife Flora) Stull of Kings Mountain. In 1943 she left her beloved hills of Kentucky and went to Michigan to work in the Bomber Plant at Willow Run. There she met and married Otto W. Raby (1913-1991) who was from Saginaw, Michigan. Their union produced three children...Betty (husband Ronald Wood) of Puyallup, WA., Edward (wife Patricia) of Port Austin, Michigan, and Alvin of Stanford, Kentucky. She has 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 48 years. Also, three brothers, Elmer, Raymond and Jasper Stull; and a sister, Dorothy Stull Gooch; and several nephews.

Lois and "Raby" lived in Michigan for many years, but came home to Kings Mountain often. In the mid 80's they moved to Waynesburg and purchased The Corner Grocery which they operated for about 8 years before retiring.

During their last years together they helped to build a new parsonage and purchase new pews for the Kings Mountain Methodist Church.

Lois moved to a nursing facility in Puyallup, Washington in 2009 to be near her daughter. There she was greatly loved and well cared for until she suffered a fatal stroke.

Services for Lois will be 10 AM, Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 at Fox Funeral Home, Stanford. Burial will be in Pleasant Point Cemetery.

MORELAND — Agnes Higgins Smith, 70, of Hustonville passed away Friday, July 1, 2011.

Born April 4, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Roy and LaFern Lawless Higgins. Agnes was a graduate of Hustonville High School, class of 1959. She received her bachelor’s
degree from Berea College and her master’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University.

She was a member of the Omicron Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma. She has held many offices and was a member of many different professional teaching organizations where she held several offices. She was an honorary member of the Lincoln County FFA Chapter. She retired from the Lincoln County School System where she taught for 34 years. After retiring, she worked as a substitute teacher and also worked at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.

She was a lifetime member of the Hustonville Christian Church Disciples of Christ where she served as an elder, board member, Sunday School teacher and Christian Women’s Fellowship president.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Gayle (David) Hurst of Hustonville; sister Brenda Higgins (Robert) Ellis of Moreland; and by two grandchildren, Eliza LaFern and David Caleb Hurst.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home, with burial in Sardis Cemetery.

Daniel L. Smith, 74, Seymour, passed away at 10:42 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville.
He enjoyed rabbit hunting and coon hunting and was of the Pentecostal faith. He had worked for Arvin Industries for more than 20 years and had also worked at Cummins Engine Co.
for 11 years. He had also worked as a guard at Pinkerton.
Born April 7, 1937, in Crab Orchard, Ky., he was the son of Charlie Lloyd Smith and Goldie Martin Smith. On Sept. 22, 1957, he married M. Faye Vires, who survives.
Other survivors include three children, Rickey L. Smith, Austin, Lois A. Smith, Seymour, and Edward Dean (Marie) Smith, Crothersville; three sisters, Imogene Reynolds, Opal Trapp and Helen (Dave) Otte; one brother, David Smith; three grandchildren, Vanessa Warren, Brandon Smith and Victoria Smith; and three great-grandchildren, Bret Warren, Judson Smith and Jayleigh Schepman.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lillian Waggoner and Kolleen Mattingly.

CRAB ORCHARD — Lagina Kay Moore Snow, 43, of Stanford, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, in Brodhead, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident at the junction of U.S. 70 and 150.

Born Nov. 19, 1967, in Stanford, she was the daughter of Diane Neal (John) Pope and the late Russell Glenn Moore. She was a homemaker.

Other survivors include four children, Leann Todd (Brandon) Hines, Gary Lee, Emily Ann and Katie Marie Kirby; a grandson, Jayden Shea Hines; a sister, Angela Nicole Brown;

Born Saturday, Dec. 27, 1924, on Pond Ridge in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Warren and Nancy Ann Spaw Gourley. Mary Ethel was a retired from American Greetings, having worked more than 25 years at the factory. She was the widow of Marvin Wahl, her husband of 58 years. Mary Ethel was a lifelong member of Locust Grove Baptist Church having dedicated more than 57 years to teaching Sunday school at Locust Grove.

Mary Ethel leaves behind her children, sons, Douglas (Janet) Wahl of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dwight (Janet) Wahl of Kings Mountain, Dexter (Kathy) Wahl of Demossville, Ky., and Dwane (Lisa) Wahl of Warsaw, Ky.; daughters, Sonja (Roy Dixon) Walls of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Valerie Brumett of Waynesburg; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Raymond L. Wilson Sr., 89, of Stanford, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011, at his daughter’s residence.
Born April 26, 1922, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late Martin Adam and Eva Wilson, and he enjoyed a wonderful marriage to his late wife, Mary Evelyn Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was a farmer and heavy equipment operator, and a member of First Church of God. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.

Survivors include a son, Randall (Jayne Lynn) Wilson of Burgin; two daughters, Charlotte (James) Watts and Cathy (Deannie) Southerland, both of Stanford; three brothers, Alfred (Minnie Lou) Wilson, Robert (Dorothy) Wilson and Jess (Ella Mae) Wilson; two sisters, Alma (Kenneth) Rothwell and Ann Sinn; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. today, July 26, 2011, at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Norris McCawley. Mr. Wilson’s grandson, the Rev. Stacy Wilson, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Wilson Cemetery, Boyle Co., KY, with full military rites.

STANFORD — James Gary Young II, 41, of Stanford, died Monday.
Born Sept. 25, 1969, in Lincoln County, he was a son of Charlene F. Jackson Archer of Waynesburg and the late James G. Young.

Other survivors include his daughter, Maranda Young of Stanford; sister, Nancy Wade of Stanford; stepbrother, Glen Archer of Louisville; foster brother, Kevin Satterly of Danville; and
stepsisters, Alicia Archer of Waynesburg and Kristen Archer of Louisville.
He also was preceded in death by his stepfather, John Archer.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Olive Cemetery.
