ADAMS- Alvin D. Adams, 89, of Lockland, Ohio, formerly of Crab Orchard, died Sunday May 16, 1976 at Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati.
A retired farmer and member of the Christian Church, Mr. Adams was a native of Lincoln County and the widower of Avarilla Livingston Adams.
Surviving him
are 1 daughter, Mrs. Clara Clevenger, Lockland, Ohio; 1 son, Chester Adams,
Cookeville, Tennessee, 6 grandchildren, and 12
great grandchildren.

A native of Lincoln County, KY, she was born on October 19, 1916, and was a member of the Pine Hall Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Willie J. Adams, Route 1, Crab Orchard, KY; two daughters, Lula Mae Howard, Perryville, KY and Bertha Caudil, (paper torn) Newport, KY; six sons, Billy Adams, Fort Scott, (Arkansas, paper torn), Earl Adams, Frankfort, KY, Bobby Adams, Cincinnati, Ohio, James Adams, Crab Orchard, KY, Clifford Adams, Louisville, KY, and Kenneth Adams, Liberty, KY; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, George Hines, Indiana, Albert Hines, Lawrenceburg, KY and Ray Hines, Stanford. BIRD- Mrs. Gladys Kidd Bird, age 55 of Young’s Court, Stanford, Kentucky, died Saturday, November 15, 1975,at Fort Logan Hospital after one year's illness.
She was a native of Lincoln County. She was a member of the Church of Christ and G.L.P.N. at fort Logan Hospital.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Susan DeVerna, Ithaca, New York; one son, Michael Bird, Stanford, mother, Mrs Susie L. Kidd, Stanford; three sisters, Mrs Marie Van Ardsdale, Louisville, Mrs. Pauline Reedy, Norwood, Ohio, Mrs. Erlene Young, Lexington; two brothers, Chester Kidd and Porter Kidd, both of Stanford; three grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Morgan & Fox Funeral Home with Brother Virgil Horseman officiating and burial at Buffalo Springs.
Pallbearers were Tommy Kidd, Kenny Kidd, Jimmy Kidd, Jimmy Young, Eddie Kidd and Roger Burchett.

BOWEN- Miss Jewel Louise Bowen, 33, 333 West Broadway Street, Danville, died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Hospital of a heart coronary after several years illness.
She was a native of Boyle County, but had lived most of her life in Crab Orchard. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Danville, and employed by the Dietitian Department of Ephraim McDowell Hospital.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. Guy Bowen and Mrs Margaret Plummer Bowen, Crab Orchard; and three sisters, Mrs Phyllis Avritt, Danville; Mrs Joyce Burgess, Huntington Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Ophelia Roark, Crab Orchard.
Services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Howard Funeral Home buy the Rev. Odell Leigh, Danville, and the Rev. C. C. Baker, Crab Orchard. Burial was in the Crab Orchard Cemetery. (No date)

BRUMMETT- William Henry Brummett, 71, Stanford, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at his home after a long illness. A native of Lincoln County, he was a retired railroad employee and a member of the Christian Church at Mt. Moriah.
He was married to Ida May Pollard Brummett who died 38 years ago and was married a second time to Cora Byrd Brummett.
Surviving from his first marriage are four daughters, Mrs. Charlie Wm. (Sallie) Baugh, Crab Orchard; Mrs. Margaret Hoagland, Louisville: Mrs. Lonnie (Annie N.) Peavler, Stanford and Mrs. Florence Dye, Marion, Ohio; two sons, Abbie and J. W. CORMNEY- Mrs Annie Cormney, 82, of Route 3 Stanford, died Sunday, Jan. 12, at the Friendship House in Danville after a long illness.
A native of Rockcastle County, she was a member of the Rowland Mission Baptist Church. She was the widow of the late Bill Cormney.
Survivors include a son, Shafer Messinger of Route 3, Stanford; a brother, Alonzo Watkins of Route 3, Stanford; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great -great grandchildren.
Services were conducted at the Morgan and Fox Funeral Home at 2. P.m. Tuesday with Rev. William Carter officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. (1975?)

DAVIS- Henry C. Davis, 84, retired businessman of Stanford, died September 4, 1977, at 7:35 a.m. at the Ephraim McDowell Hospital, Danville.
A life-time resident of Lincoln County, as a young man he taught school, was employed at a Stanford bank and served in WW I. He terminated his banking position and entered the business field, first as an auto dealer, then as a vending machine franchisee for a large number of Kentucky counties, acquired some farming interests, became one of this area's first owners and operators of a drive-in theatre and upon his retirement from the theatre business entered the field of land development.
A member of the Stanford Christian Church, he was a member of Lincoln Lodge No. 60, Eastern Star, Shriner, and belonged to numerous veteran's and civic organizations.
He and his wife, Mary Wallin Davis who predeceased him on October 11, 1975, participated in numerous benevolent acts in behalf of those less fortunate than they but sought no publicity for generosity.
Funeral services were held at the Beazley-Raney-Speaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 6, at 1 p.m. with interment in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. The Rev. Oscar Mayes was in charge of the service, which included Masonic rites.
Active pallbearers were Paul Reed, Robert Baughman, Leonard Boone, Doug Brickey, Jesse Ray Conn, Robert Conn, Wallace Price and Stith Noe.
Honorary pallbearers were John A. Williams, E.C. Jeffries, and Geo. O Spoonamore III, Mae Hubble, Helen Hovious, Albert Jackson, Jack Purefoy, Lucy Wall, Nell Broyles and Robert McCormack.

DISHON- Rites for Raymond Dishon, 78, of 805 S. 4th St. who died Tuesday night at Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital after a brief illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Morgan and Fox Funeral Home at Stanford. Hugh Thomas will officiate and burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
The Lincoln County native was retired from Chrysler Motor Corp. in Michigan and was the husband of Mrs Madeline Dishon of Danville. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Church of Christ.

DISHON- Vernon Dishon of Chappell Gap Rd., near Crab Orchard, who spent much of his time in the unusual museum, died unexpectedly Monday morning from an apparent heart attack.
Born and reared in Lincoln County, where he spent most of his life. Mr. Dishon was employed as a maintenance carpenter for the Globe-Werniche Co., Norwood, Ohio for 20 years prior to his retirement. He also was a farmer and blacksmith.
After his retirement, Mr. Dishon opened his museum on June 29, 1953 where he collected all kinds of antique items. He also made axe handles in his shop.
Mr. Dishon was the husband of Mrs. Elsie Frazier Dishon, who survives, along with three sons, Glenn of Cincinnati, Ohio, Tom of Redding, Ohio and Larry of Lincoln County.
Services were conducted at Beazley Raney Speaks Martin Funeral Home, Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 2 p.m.
Burial was in Ephesus Cemetery. (No date)

DOAN- Orderly S, Doan, 73, of 205 Main St. Stanford, died Saturday April 25, 1981 at Fort Logan Hospital.
He ran Doan's Grocery in Stanford for 36 years. He was a member of Corbin Church of Christ and was a veteran of WWII. Born in Rockcastle County on Dec 25, 1907, he was the son of the late LaSalle and Pearl McKinney Doan.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Campbell Doan; a brother Roscoe B. Doan of Columbus, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Adrian (Mildred) Gooch of Stanford.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Beazley Raney speaks Funeral Home with burial in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Ministers officiating were the Revs. Daniel Clark and Elmore Ray.

DURHAM- Virgil Durham, Sr., 75 died Monday from an apparent heart attack while stripping tobacco. A resident of Manor Boulevard in Crab Orchard, Mr. Durham was a retired L&N Railroad employee. He was born in Casey County to the late Mr. and Mrs James Farion Durham and his wife was the late Sallie Nichols Durham. He was a member of the Hebron United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald of Crab Orchard and Virgil Durham, Jr. of Rt. 3, Stanford: four daughters, Mrs Ernest Spoonamore and Mrs. Raymond Eldridge, all of Crab Orchard; six brothers, Johnny of Danville, Jafus of Pennsylvania, Clifton of Indianapolis, Ind. Bill, Arnold and Hollie Durham all of Stanford; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Brent of Stanford; 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct 13 at Beaszley, Raney, Speaks, Martin Funeral Ho9me with Brother Edd McCowan and Brother Bowman in charge. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

GABRIEL- Mrs. Mary Michelango Gabriel, 72, of Stanford, died Friday, April 17, 1981 at Fort Logan Extended Care after a long illness.
A native of Offida, Italy, she moved to Stanford in 1929. She was a retired restaurant operator, member of the Stanford Catholic Chapel and the widow of Philip Gabriel.
Survivors include a son, Gabriel U. Gabriel of Stanford; a brother, Alfredo Michelango of Italy; a sister, Elvira Tassi of North Creek, N.Y., and three grandsons.
Honorary bearers: Arnold Stogsdill, Foster R. Phillips, Collins Carney, Jeffrey Colson, Leonard Slusher, and Dr. Ben Jennings.

GENTON- Funeral for Mike Genton, 80, of Crab Orchard Route 1, who died Thursday, Sept 21 at Garrard County Memorial Hospital after a long illness, was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beazley-Speaks-Martin Funeral Home with burial in Ephesus Cemetery.
Mr.Genton was born Feb. 14, 1898 in Lincoln County to the late Louie and Sophie Goepp Genton. He was a retired sawmill owner- operator and a farmer.

GOOCH- Mrs Ella M. Gooch, 92, of Route 2, Lancaster died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1975 at the Fort Logan Hospital.
A native of Lincoln County, she was a member of the Goshen Christian Church. She was the widow of Craig L. Gooch and daughter of the late Alexander and Nancy Perkins Holtzclaw.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Hubble Sheron of Route 2, Lancaster; two sons, Jesse Gooch of Madison Heights, Mich. and Craig Gooch of Oscado, Mich.; 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Services were conducted at the Morgan and Fox Funeral Home Friday at 2 p.m. With the Rev. James Sheron officiating. Burial was in Goshen Cemetery.

HERRINGTON- Effie M. Herrington, 93, of Star Avenue, Stanford, passed away September 14, 1984, at the Fort Logan Extended Care Unit, after several months’ illness.
She was born September 26, 1890, to the late Henry and Sarah Cummins Laswell. She was a housewife and member of the Stanford Church of Christ.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, A.H. Herrington, March 31, 1959.
Mrs. Herrington is survived by five sons, Curtis Harrington, Stanford; Ottis Herrington, Vandalia, Ohio; Walter and Vanus Herrington, both of Cincinnati, Ohio9 and Carlis Herrington, Taylor, Michigan; three daughters, Mrs. Bertis (Gladis) Davis, Xenia, Cincinnati; and Ms. Jane Symonda and Mrs. Joseph (Della) Ambrose, both of Stanford; 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, September 17, 1984, 2 p.m., at the Bezley, Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home, with Bro. Charles Brown officiating. Burial was in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

JAMES- Mr. Lloyd B. James, 54, of Route 3, Stanford died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Dec 18 at the Fort Logan hospital of an apparent heart attack.
A native of Lincoln County, He was a retired salesman for Stanford Motor Co. and O.K. Mobile Homes. He was a member of the Stanford Baptist Church, a veteran of WW II, a member and commander of Cleve Dunn Post 7101 VFW; and a member of the Stanford D.A.V. Chapter 129. He was he son of the late Jim and Emma Land James.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lydia Barnes James of Route 3, Stanford; a daughter, Mrs Connie Gayle Hannah of Route 2, Stanford; a son, Lloyd Michael James of Owensboro; three sisters, Mrs Ruby Smith and Mrs Reba Gourley both of Indianapolis, Ind. and Mrs. Eva Harmon of Route 3 Stanford; two brothers, Ray James of Stanford and Glen James of Indianapolis, Ind.; two grandchildren, Stacy Elane Hannah and Sabina Erin Hannah, both of Route 2, Stanford.

KIDD- Hulen F. (Nick) Kidd, age 55, of Titusville, Florida, died Feb.28, at the Jess Parrish Memorial Hospital in Titusville, He was a veteran of WW II and served in the Army Air Corps. His present occupation was a Real Estate investor.

McGUFFEY- Mr. Grover Cleveland McGuffey, age 84, of 1961 Nelson Ave., Ormond Beach Fla. died Wednesday, February 9, 1977 at his home.
A native of Stanford, Mr. McGuffey was a retired, coal inspector for Red Ash Pocahontas Coal Co. in Richmond Va., before moving to Florida. He was a veteran of World War I and former member of the Cincinnati VFW.

Son of the late Adam Richard and Fanny Hornath Matheny, he was a retired Post Office employee and member of Highland First Baptist Church, Louisville.

MIDDLETON- Services for Chad Middleton, 79, Orchard Street, Crab Orchard who died at 3 a.m. Sunday, April 9, at Ephriam McDowell Memorial Hospital, after a long illness were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Beazley-Speaks-Martin Funeral Home. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
A retired businessman, Mr. Middleton was born Oct. 7, 1898 in Hagan, Va. and was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ. He was the son of the late Galvin and Nancy Ann Crouse Middleton.
Survivors include; his wife, Mrs. Maude Middleton; three sons, Harry D. of Nashville, Tenn., Gene of Harrodsburg, and Chad Middleton Jr. of Richmond; two daughters, Mrs. Joe Hammons of Crab Orchard and Mrs. James Adams of Harrodsburg; a brother, Arch Middleton of Stanford; a sister, Mae Farmer of Crab Orchard; and 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Serving, as pallbearers were grandsons, Gerald Hammons, Louis Hammons, Jeffrey, George, Michael, and Kevin Middleton, and Steven and Darrell Adams.

OAKS- Delphia Mae Spears Oaks, age 71, of Rt.1, Stanford, died May 29, 1981 at the Fort Logan Hospital of a long illness. Born Sept. 18, 1909, in Lincoln County to the late Greenberry and Chroletta Kidd Spears. She was a housewife and a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ.
Survivors are here husband, James Oaks, Stanford; one daughter, Betty Jane Oaks, Stanford; one brother, Ed spears, Fairland, Indiana; one sister, Viola Manuel of Stanford.
Services were held Monday at the Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Joe P. Messer officiating. Burial was in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Lincoln County.
Pallbearers were Hubert and Sammie Pence, Bobby and Bud Martin, Cecil Smallwood and Roy Agee.
Martin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

PHILLIPS- Jerry Lee Phillips, 21 of 3334 Southerland Dr., Lexington, died after a two weeks hospitalization in the Veterans Hospital in Lexington, on Saturday morning.
A native of Lincoln County, he Was the son of Gatewood and Flonnie Godbey Phillips of Lancaster. He was born November 21, 1954 and was employed at Malone and Hyde Wholesale Grocery firm near Nicholasville. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church. He graduated from Garrard County High School in 1973.
Survivors include his widow, Cynthia McCulley Phillips, Lexington; a daughter, Brandalyn Leigh Phillips of Lexington; two sisters, Rita Carol Newton and Lora Jean Phillips, both of Lancaster; his grandfather, John Phillips of Stanford and his grandmother Hatie Phillips of Stanford.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday at 2 p.m. by Bro. William Humphrey and Bro. Mike Crain at the Speaks Funeral Home in Lancaster. Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery.

ROCHESTER- John Welch Rochester, 91, of Ann Arbor, Mich. and formerly of Stanford, died Wednesday, October 20, 1976. Mr. Rochester was a Lincoln County native and a member of the Stanford Presbyterian Church. He was a retired bank cashier and a tax consultant, having been a former cashier of the Lincoln County National Bank. He also attended Center College in Danville.
Survivors include his wife Sallie Craig Rochester of Ann Arbor, Michigan; 2 sons, William and Samuel Rochester, both of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; 1 daughter, Mrs. Carl Gingles of Ann Arbor, Michigan and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 23, at 2 p.m. at Beazley –Raney- Speaks Funeral Home with burial in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford.

SHARPENSTEEN- Services for Lee R. Sharpensteen, 76, of 195 Logan Ave., Stanford, who retired from the L & N railroad as a section foreman after 52 years, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at Morgan and Fox Funeral Home. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating.
Born in Hart County, Mr. Sharpensteen died Friday, Sept. 2 at his home. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie Sharpensteen of Stanford; tow daughters, Mrs Marjorie Ferguson and Mrs. Clara Mae Huff, and a son, Albert Ray Sharpensteen, all of Louisville; two step-sons, Billy Singleton of Mineral Wells, Texas and Russell Singleton of Detroit, Michigan; two sisters, Mrs Nora Hawkins of Hendersonville, Ind.; and Mrs Frances Hawkins of Louisville; two brothers, Allen of Munsfordville, KY and Slaughter Sharpensteen of Panama Canal Zone; and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren. SILER- Mrs. Macie S, Siler, 68, of Route 2, Waynesburg died Sunday morning, Dec 29 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. A native of Lincoln County, she was a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist church. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Nancy Oaks Petrey.
Survivors include her husband, John E. Siler of Route 2, Waynesburg; three sons, Ulan and James H. Siler both of Waynesburg and John Siler, Jr. of Columbus, Ind.; two sisters, Mrs Eva Colantunoa and Mrs. Lula Harris, both of Route 1, Waynesburg; a brother, Herman Petrey of Route 1, Waynesburg; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services were conducted at the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Fonzo Reed and Rev. George Anderson officiating. Burial was in Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
Bobby Siler, James Denney, Donnie Siler, Manford Todd, Rodney Doss and Gene Douglas served as pallbearers. Morgan and Fox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

TUCKER- Mrs Margaret Plummer Tucker, 67, of Rt. 1, Stanford, died Sunday, February 13, 1977 at Stl Joseph Hospital, Lexington after a short illness.
A native of Lincoln County, she was born November 30, 1909 to the late Neurice and Lucinda Anderson Plummer. She was a member of the Ephesus Baptist Church and a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, Mac W. Tucker, Stanford; 2 sons, William M. Tucker, Waynesbury and Maurice W. Tucker of Stanford; 1 grandson, James Andrew Tucker of Waynesburg; 2 brothers, Claude and Neumeris Plummer, both of Crab Orchard; 3 sisters, Mrs Clarence Elkins, Waynesburg, Mrs. Virgil Elkins, LaCross, Indiana and Mrs. John Tschantz, Crab Orchard.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 15, 1977 at Beazley, Raney, Speaks Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Bro. Denneth Adams officiated and burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hiram Cornett, Luther Speaks, Cecil Smallwood, William Schuler, Hubert and Sammy Pence.

VINCENT- Carl Vincent, 37 of 207 Logan Ave. Stanford, died Sunday Dec. 23 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lexington following an illness of six months.
A television repairman, he was employed by Leach Supply Store in Stanford. He was a member of the Stanford Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of the Stanford Fire Department.
Born Sept. 12,1936 in Lincoln County, he made his home with his grandmother, Mrs Tom Oaks of Stanford. He was a son of Mrs. Edna Mae Zind of Cincinnati, Ohio and the late Gabe Vincent.
Other than his grandmother and mother, several aunts and uncles also survive him.
Rites were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Beazley Raney Speaks Funeral Home. Mr. Virgil Horseman and the Rev. Steve Miller. Military rites were said at graveside in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Russell Berry, Randy Leach, Junior Austin, Randy Leach, Junior Austin, Clyde, Johnny and Joe James, Donnie and Tommy Bogie. 1973

WARREN- Mrs. Jean Gordon Warren, 45 of Danville Route 2, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, after a 10 month illness. A native of Lincoln County, Mrs Warren was born Jan.9, 1933. She had lived here most of her life and was formerly employed in the office at American Greetings Corporation. She was a member of the Indian Hills Christian Church.
Survivors include he husband, Donald L. Warren of Danville; her parents, A.R. Gordon Sr. of Moreland and Mrs. Minnie Teater Gordon of Danville; a daughter, Mrs James (Brenda) Tannehill of Louisville; a son, Gary W. Warren of Danville; a brother, A.R. Gordon Jr. of Danville; a niece, Mrs. Barbara G. Shewmaker of Harrodsburg, and a grandchild, Clay Warren of Danville.
Rites for Mrs. Warren will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday at the Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. (1978?)

WILLIAMS- Mrs. Sue Edmiston Williams, 72, of Crab Orchard died unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 21 at her home.
A native of Crab Orchard, she was a retired employee of the Kentucky State Hospital in Danville and a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Effie Holmes Edmiston.
Survivors include two aunts, Mrs. Bess Dickerson of Crab Orchard and Mrs Hulan Poynter of Crab Orchard; and uncle in Nebraska; and a number of cousins.
Services were conducted at the Crab Orchard Baptist church Monday at 2. P.m. with Rev. Kenneth Adams officiating. Burial was in the Crab Orchard Cemetery.

WOODS- Robert Leo Woods, 53 of 1805 E. 44th St. Indianapolis, Ind., and formerly of Stanford, died in a --------County mishap at 1:33 a.m. Sunday. State Trooper Larry Beech reported that Mr. Woods was traveling south on US 127 when his car left the road on the right side, 3.8 miles south of Harrodsburg. The car traveled 103 feet and struck a culvert head wall. Trooper Beech said there was no evidence that Woods applied his brakes. He was removed for the car and taken to the local hospital by Danville-Boyle County Rescue Squad.
Mr. Woods had moved from Stanford to Indianapolis two weeks ago.
A native of Lincoln County, he was a plumber by occupation; a member of the Pine Hall Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Navy of WW II. He was the son of the late Clarence and Linda James Woods.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Byrd Woods of Indianapolis; 2 sons, Robert Leo Woods Jr. and Ronald Lee Woods, both of Indianapolis; 1 daughter, Brenda Sue Perry of Indianapolis; 1 brother, Preston Woods of Walton and 1 sister, Margaret Middleton of Stanford and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Beazley Raney Speaks Funeral Home in Stanford on Tuesday, May 3, 1977 at 2 p.m. Bro. Kent Clark officiated and burial was at Pine Hall Cemetery, Lincoln Co.

YOUNG-Eddie Harlan Young, 85, Stanford died Friday at the Logan Hospital after a long illness. A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Young, a retired farmer and member of the Mt. Moriah Church. He was the son of the late Epp and Margaret Young.
He is survived by his wife Mrs. Viola Morgan Young, Stanford; four sons, Walter and James, both of Stanford, Lloyd of Hampton, Va. and Gene of Orlando, Fla., One step-son Donald Morgan, Stanford, five daughters, Mrs Lawrence Kidd, Mrs. Donald Woodridge both of Stanford, Mrs Porter Kidd, Norwood, Ohio, Mrs. Jim Ed Williams, Lancaster, Mrs. Jerry Oakes, Stanford. Five step-daughters, Mrs Walter Green, Waynesburg, Mrs. Cecil Long, Mrs J. C. Bastin of Stanford, Mrs Roy Daniels and Mrs Kenneth Owens, both of Germantown, Ohio. Also one brother Freddie Young, Hustonville, one sister, Mrs Estil Carrier, Hustonville, 20 grandchildren, 25 step-grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 40 step-great grandchildren.
Beaszley-Raney-Speaks Funeral Home made the arrangements, with Brother Tom Bledsoe conducting services at Mt. Moriah Christian Church. Burial was in the Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery. (No year date)
