Charles Brock Adams, 87, of Route 1, Stanford, Died
Sunday, April 25, 1976 at 11:30 p.m. at the Sowder Nursing Home, Brodhead, after
a long illness.
A Lincoln County Native he was a retired farmer and the son of the Late
Frank Adams and Sophia Adams.
His wife, Agnes Louise Adams, preceded him in death in 1971.
Survivors are four sons, George, of Crab Orchard, Charles, of
Nicholasville, Carl, of Sardenia, Ohio and Joseph of Nashville, Tennessee; four
daughters, Mrs. Elbert Magie, Hillsboro, Ohio, Mrs. Charles Kendall, Ft.
Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Johnnie North, Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Randy Carter,
Stanford; one brother, John Adams, Bedford, Indiana; three sisters, Lelia
Deatherage, Stanford, Mayme Elmore, Stanford, and Maggie Breedlove, Richmond, 30
grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Beazley, Raney, Speaks
& Martin Funeral Home with burial at Crab Orchard Cemetery. Joe Messer
conducted the services.
Pallbearers were Paul French, David Noeth, Greggory Magee, Ronald Magee,
Buddy Adams, and Jimmy Adams. (Agnes

ANDERSON-
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the time of this writing for Gentry B.
Anderson, who died April 27,1976, at the age of 73. He lived with his wife,
Delphia, on Chapel Gap Road near Crab Orchard. Mr. Anderson spent all his years
in and around Crab Orchard with the exception of a few years during and after
the Second World War. During the war, Mr. Anderson was employed at the former
Crosley Corporation who operated a war factory and WLW radio station all in the
same building.
He worked at departments, the factory and the radio station. Whenever Mr.
Anderson worked the radio station, he often drank coffee as well as laughed and
cut up with the unknown radio personalities who worked there, hoping some day to
make the big time.
Three of Mr. Anderson's coffee friends did make it, and they were Doris
Day, Andy Williams and Rosemary Clooney, all who made Hollywood film stardom.
Later on towards the end of the war, there was a shortage of sheriff
deputies for Hamilton County, which took in the Cincinnati, due to so many
deputies being drafted for the armed services. Mr. Anderson served as special
deputy sheriff for that county until the end of the war.
He returned to Kentucky for good in 1952. Mr. Anderson leaves his wife,
Delphia, of Crab Orchard; two sons, Maurice of Alexandria, Ky., and Lloyd of
Burgin, KY. He also leaves four sisters and several grandchildren, along with
nephews and nieces.

BROWN-
Bradford "Brad" Brown, 74, Stanford,
passed away on May 11, 1983, at the Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital,
Danville, of an extended illness.
He was born on May 17, 1908, in Rockcastle County to the late Dan and
Alice Southern Brown. He was a retired truck driver and a member of the Mt.Zion
Church of Christ.
Survivors include one son, Oscar L. Brown, Maineville, Ohio, four
daughters, Daisy Schmitz, Peggy J. French and Diann Norton, all of Cincinnati,
Ohio. and Beverly Rawlings, Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Myrtle Anderson,
Stanford; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 13 at Mt. Zion Church
of Christ, with Austin Moberly officiating. Burial was in the Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donald French, Fred Simpson, Bobby Norton, Harold
Schmitz, George Rawlings, and Gail Brown. Martin
Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.

Stanford, Ky, September 9, 1982
Abbie N. Brummett, 64, 218 Powell Street, Stanford, passed away on
September 9, 1982, at home after a long illness.
A native of Lincoln County, Kentucky, he was born on December 4, 1917 to
the late Ida Mae Pollard and William Henry Brummett.
He was married to Ina Cottengim Brummett and was a member of the Calvary
Hill Baptist Church in Stanford.
Survivors include two sons, Gary E. Brummett, Stanford, and Lloyd N.
Brummett, Perrysvile; one brother, J. W. Brummett, Stanford; four sisters, Anna
M. Peavler, Stanford, Margaret Hoagland, Louisville, Florence Dye, Marion, Ohio,
and Sally Catherine Baugh, Bum Sulphur, Ky;
and
three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2.p.m., Saturday, at the chapel of the
Beazley, Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home, with Dr. John Carter officiating.
Burial was in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Lucy Mae Collier, 73, Route 3, Stanford, Ky, passed
away Wednesday, August 17, 1983, at her home, after a short illness.
She was born October 21, 1909, Lincoln County, retired from Palm Beach
Company, Danville,, Ky. and member of the Stanford Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Mallor (Ike) Collier, Stanford; two sons,
Marion Stewart Collier, Tyler, Texas, and Fred Lawrence Collier, LeCanto,
Florida; one sister, Mrs. Emma Roberts, Kelso, Washington; seven grandchildren
and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 2:00 m.m., Saturday, at the Morgan and Fox
Funeral Home,with Rev. W.B. Casey and Rev. Larry Burcham officiating. Burial was
in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Kenneth Ray Davis, 34, of Crestwood, Ky., a former
Stanford native, died Monday, June 20, of a heart attack in Clarksville, Tenn.
He was employed by Cal-Maine Trucking firm of Louisville.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Turner Davis; one daughter, Lissa Ann
Davis, both of Crestwood, Ky. He is also survived by his mother, Eva Blankenship
Davis, of Stanford; one brother, Robert E Davis, of Corydon, Ind.; two sisters,
Mrs Mary Howson and Miss Sherrel Davis, both of Stanford; Two aunts, Mrs. Jewell
Clark, of Jeffersontown, Ky., and Mrs. Geneva Parrish, of Stanford; a
grandmother, Mrs, Wesley Davis, also of Stanford; several cousins, nieces and
nephews.
Pallbearers were James Clark, Jichael Turner, Ray Goodlet, Earl Clark,
Richard Turner, and Robert Kelly.
The funeral was held by Rev. Richard Bond and Rev Lloyd Zimmerman at
Stoess Funeral Home in Crestwood. Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Thursday.

Fronie R. Deatherage, age 85 passed away
Tuesday, November 22, 1983, at the Fort Logan Hospital after a long illeness.
She was a native of Lincoln County and a member of the Calvary Hill
Baptist Church. She was the widow of Hubert B. Deatherage, Jr., Stanford; four
daughters, Mrs. Emma Lucille Goodrich and Mrs. Irene Parker, both of Frankfort;
one brother, Hubert Barnett, Indianapolis, Indiana; 13 grandchildren and 17
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Otto Terry, Clarence Deatherage, Jr., Hayes Deatherage,
James Deatherage, Bill Deatherage and Foster Deatherage.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Morgan and Fox Funeral
Home with Rev. Morris Trayner officiating. Burial was at Buffalo Springs
Cemetery.

Ivon M. Denson, 81, of Route 1, Crab Orchard died
Friday, May, at his home after an illness of one month.
A native of Lincoln County, he was a farmer and a member of the Ephesus
Baptist Church.

include his wife, Mrs. Oma Griffin Denson; two daughters, Mrs. W. G. Henderson
of Lancaster and Mrs. Stanley Brock of Route 1, Crab Orchard; five sons, Frances
and Eugene both of Route 1, Waynesburg, and Cecil and James Denson both of Troy,
Ohio; a brother, Stewart Denson of Route 2, Waynesburg; 31 grandchildren and 40

Mary "Maggie (Adams) Burke Dye, 87, 276 Cass
Ave., passed away at 10:30 p.m. Monday, August 2, in Cummunity MedCenter
Hospital.
She was born on June 13, 1895, in Stanford, Ky., and was a member of the
Church of Christ.
On December 29, 1917, she was married to Ples Dye, who passed away in
1930. The death of her second husband, Oscar Burke, whom she married on November
10, 1939, was in 1958.
Surviving are five sons, George Dye and Roy Dye, both of Marion, Bill
Dye, California, John Dye, Plain City, and Arlen Dye, Dallas, Texas; four
daughters, Mrs Martha Rease, with whom she made her home on Cass Ave., Mrs.
Walter (Bessie) Knickrehm and Mrs. Elton (Georgia) Timmons, both of Marion, and
Mrs. Ed (Ermia) Hildrebrand, Ky; one brother, Willie Adams, Ky; four sisters,
Mrs. Myrtle Reifsteck, Cincinnati, Mrs Dealy Spoonamore, Annie Manuel and Laura
Pollard, all of Kentucky; 27 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. A daugher
and sister are deceased.
The service was conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, August 5, in Gunder-Hall
Funeral Home, with Bro. Jack Gladwll officiating. Burail was in Marion Cemetery.

Bud was born and raised in this community and lived here until he was a
young man, when he went to Mich., and had lived there since. He was well liked
by all that knew him.

Patsy E. Gordon, 45, of Danville, Route 2, was
pronounced dead on arrival at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 10 at Ephraim McDowell
Memorial Hospital, after an apparent hear attack.
A Lincoln County native, Mrs. Gordon
was the widow of Billy Gordon. A former resident of Morland, she had lived in
Danville about eight years and was a member of Morland First Baptist Church. She
was a daughter of Mrs. Beatrice Elder of Crab Orchard.
Other furvivors include three sons, Randy of Danville, Route 2, Jimmy of
Stanford Route 4, and Terry Gordon of Hustonville; two daughters, Mrs. Gail
Richardson of Hustonville and Miss Vicky Gordon of Danville Route 2; three
bothers, David Elder of Crab Orchard, Danny and Sam Elder Jr., bothof
Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Brock of Crab Orchard; two stepsisters,
Mr. Beulah Wilson and Mrs. Ada Martin, both of Crab Orchard and a grandaughter,
Whitney Gordon of Stanford Route 4.
Funeral was held at 2 p.m. Friday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home, Moreland,
by the Rev. Donnie L Stewart. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford.

Jesse James, 87, of Stanford died Friday, June 17, at
Fort Logan Hospital after a long illness.
He was a native of Lincoln County, retired farmer, member of the Pine
Hall Church and son of the late Henry and Sara McKinney James. His wife, Ludema
James preceded him in death.
Survivors include 7 sons, Clark James, Stanford; Oscar James and Raymond
James, both of Lexington; Ira James, Dayton, Ohio; David James, Cincinnati,
Ohio; Jesse James Jr., Wayne, Michigan; T/Sgt. Howard F. James, Travis Air Force

Fannie Adams Kidd, 81,of Cincinnati, Ohio, died
Wednesday, May 22, at the Providence Hospital in Cincinnati.
Born Dec. 12, 1892, in Lincoln County, she was a member of the Stanford
Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Andy and Jennie James Adams and
the widow of Jessie Levi Kidd.
Survivors include three sons, Henley Kidd of Waynesburg, Lawrence Kidd of
Stanford and Hulen Kidd of Titusville, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Hartman
and Mrs. Elizabeth Hesse both of Cincinnati; 27 grandchildren, 45 great
grandchildren, and five great- great grandchildren.
Services were conducted at the Beazley-Raney-Speaks Funeral Home Sunday,
May 26, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Hugh Thomas officiating and grandsons serving as
pallbearers. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

July 1, at 11:45 a.m. at the Fort Logan Hospital following a year's illness.
Mr. Kidd, a native of Lincoln County, was a retired farmer and a member
of the Stanford Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Martha Susan Kidd, Stanford; four
daughters, Mrs. Gladys Bird, Stanford; Mrs. Marie Van Arsdale, Louisville; Mrs.
Pauline Reddy, Norwood Ohio; Mrs. Earline Young, Lexington; two sons, Porter

A native of Rockcastle Co., he was born January 22, 1906 to the late
Andrew and Betty Gaylor Leece. Mr. Leece was a retired cabinetmaker and member
of the Fairview Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Betty Vanhook Leece of Crab Orchard; one
brother, Robert B, Leece of New Carlisle, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Wilburn

Cora A. McCollum, 92, of Stanford, died Thursday,
March 5 at Baptist East Hospital, Louisville of a long illness. A native of Clay
County she was a retied cook at Faulkners Motel and a member of Pleasant Point
Baptist Church.
Survivors include 3 sons, Reverend Oscar McCollum, Fort Meyers, Fla.,
Chester McCollum, Louisville and Richard McCollum, Shephersville; 5 daughters,

Funeral services for Carter B. McKinney, 66, a
retired building contractor and concrete mason, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June
17, at the Fairview Baptist Church.
The Rev. Elmore Ray officiated and burial was in Buffalo Spring Cemetery.
Mr. McKinney, a native of Rockcastle County, died Wednesday, at Fort
Logan Hospital after an illness of four months.
He was the husband of Mrs. Christine Cowan McKinney and belonged to
Fairview Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include his father, Roscoe McKinney of Stanford; a
daughter, Mrs. Mable weeks of Maryville, Tenn.; a son Paul McKinney of Mt.
Carmel, Ohio; three brothers, Ira, Swannie and Bradley McKinney, all of
Stanford; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

MANUEL-Services for Jennie R. Manuel, 82 of
the Preachersville community of Lincoln County were conducted Thursday, February
19 at Morgan and Fox Funeral Home in Stanford, Burial was in Lancaster Cemetery.
Mrs. Manuel died Monday at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford after a short
illness.
A Garrard County native, she was a member to the Preachersville United
Methodist Church. She was the widow of Andrew T, Manuel.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J.H. Smith of Crab Orchard and Mrs.
David Thomas of Marlow, Okla.; six sons, John A. of Lexington, Everett of
Cincinnati, Ohio, David, Ollie, Jack and Raymond Manuel, all of Indianapolis,

Joseph "Joe" Manuel, 66 of Lancaster
Street, Crab Orchard, died Friday, February 20 at St. Joseph Hospital in
Lexington after a short illness.
He was born Sept. 18, 1914, in Lincoln County to the late John and Jennie
Lawson Manuel. He was retied from General Motors where he had worked for 30
years.
Survivors include his wife, Margie of Crab Orchard; three sons, Billie
Joe of Reading, Ohio, Bobby of Benham and Clark Manuel of Nicholasville; twin
daughters, Norma Jean Wallin of Lockland, Ohio and Ernestine Rapstosh of Dayton,
Ohio; a brother, Raymond Manuel of Crab Orchard; two sisters, Lena Smith of Crab
Orchard and Mary Jane Spears of Fairland, Ind., and nine grandchildren.
The Rev. David Calhoun conducted services Sunday, February 22 at the
Martin Funeral Home. Burial was in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Elisha G. Miracle, 79, Maple Street, Crab
Orchard, passed away on May 10, 1983, at the Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital,
Danville, of an extended illness.
He was born on December 15, 1903, in Bell County to the late Henry and
Parlee Miracle. He was a retired LNRR Railroader (signal department) L & N
Railroad Extra Gang; a member of the Crab Orchard Baptist Church; and a Kentucky
Colonel. He and his wife had been married for 58 years in March. He was
preceeded in death by a son, Marion, on April 27, 1980.
Survivors include his wife, Dollie Miracle, Crab Orchard; seven sons,
Milton, Clarksville, Tennessee, Johnny, Merritt Island, Fla., Lloyd, Morland,
Gilbert, Cleveland, Tenn., J.C., Waynesburg, David, Crab Orchard and Bobby,

Douglas Noland, 57, of Stanford, died Sunday, Sept
24 at Fort Logan Hospital after a long illness. A native of Lincoln County, he
was a retired Stanford Post Master, member of Harris Memorial Methodist Church,
a member of the Gideons, former Sunday School Superintendent, referee for
Central Kentucky Conference and veteran of WW
II. He was the son of the late A.V. and Anna Park Noland.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs.Ovadine Noland of Stanford; 4 sisters,
Misses Madge, Jean and Mem Noland all of Stanford, and Mrs. Jesse Leece of Piqua
Ohio; 2 brothers, Perry Noland of Stanford and Phillip Noland of Crab Orchard.
Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Morgan and Fox Funeral Home
with Rev. Julian Hammonds officiating. Burial was at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

passed away Sunday, February 12, 1984, at the Fort Logan Hospital after a short
illness.
She was born on August 19, 1900 in Lincoln County. She was a member of
the Pine Grove Church of Christ and a housewife.
She is survived by one son, Mr. Cloyd Oaks, Jr., Louisville; two daughers,
Mrs William E. (Isabele) Carter, Route 1, Stanford, and Mrs James (Edna Jean)
Saylor, Napa, California; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, at Fox
Funeral Home with the Rev. Virgil Horseman officiating. Burial was at Pine Grove
Cemetery.

Mr. Robert Eugene Pepples Sr. of Cincinnati, Ohio,
born in Lincoln County to the late Linnie Katherine Lawrence and James Horn
Pepples, died August 7, 1980,at the Fort Logan Hospital after an extended
illness, at the age of 73.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Linda Kidd Pepples; two sons, Mr. Roger
Lee Pepples of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mr. Robert Eugene Pepples Jr., of Houston,
Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Frank

Carrole) Adkinson of Hamond, Indiana; one sister, Elizabeth May Payne, of
Stanford; and sever grandchildren and two nieces, Miss Johnetta Payne and Mrs.

Mr. Pepples was a retired employee of the model laundry in Cincinnati. He
was a member of the High Point Baptist Church in West Chester, Ohio.

Cincinnati. Morgan and Fox Funeral Home rendered local services. Here, funeral
arrangements were Monday, August 11th. Burial was the Vine Street Cemetery.

RAMBO- William A. Rambo, 78, a retired
postmaster, of Stanford, died Sunday, March 1 at the Fort Logan Hospital, after
a six-month illness.
He was a native of Ohio and had served as Postmaster at the Stanford Post
Office for 25 years. He also worked for the State Department of Revenue for 11
years. He also belonged to Stanford Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Adrain Gooch of Stanford; a sister,
Mrs. Marie Carter of Bowling Green: three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 4, at the Morgan and Fox
Funeral Home.
Burial
was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

RANEY-
William (Gabe) Raney, 78, a retired
mortician, of 508 Danville Ave., died Wednesday afternoon, June 22, 1977, at
Fort Logan Hospital. A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Raney was born June 6, 1899
to the late J.H. and Mattie Underwood Raney. Mr Raney retired after spending 64
years in the funeral business as a mortician and funeral director in Stanford.
He had been a partner with Beazley-Raney-Speaks Funeral Home in Stanford and
Crab Orchard since 1941. He began working with J.L. Beazley in 1913 and received
a 50 year certificate in 1973 as funeral director and embalmer.
A graduate of Kentucky Embalming School, Mr Raney was a member of the
National and Kentucky Funeral Directors Associations. He was a director of the
Buffalo Springs Cemetery Board.
He was past president of Stanford Rotary Club, a member of Lincoln Lodge
No.60 F&Am and past member of Stanford Chamber of Commerce. He was an elder
and former treasurer of Standord Christian Church where he was a member of the
Layman's League.
Mr Raney is survived by his widow, Sally Lee Raney of Stanford; a sister
Mrs. Thomas (Martha) Burdick of Noank, Conn.; a niece. Mrs. Randolph Damron of
Stanford; and a foster daughter, Mrs Marshall Hansford of Stanford.
Graveside services were conducted at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Buffalo Springs
Cemetery. The Rev. Oscar Maves officiated.
Those serving as pallbearers were, Tobert Baughman, Lee C. Elder, Sam
Harris, Leroy Boone, Emery Wilson, H. R. SaufleyII, George Cox and Leonard
Boone.

ROBINSON-
Dora B. Robinson, 69, of 210 Whitley Aven.,
passed away Monday, January 2, 1984, at the Fort Logan Hospital after a long
illness.
She was Born July17, 1914, in Rockcastle County. She was a housewife, and
member of the Stanford Babtist Church.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her husband, John Robinson, Stanford; three
daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Mary Ann Trailor, Hustonville, Mrs. Jerry (Freida)
Jones, Pasadena, Texas; and Mrs. Bill (Opal) Robertson, Stanford; four sons,
Johnny Robinson, Lancaster; Mitchell Robinson, Harrodsburg; George Robinson,
Stanford, Jim Robinson, Versailles; her
mother, Mrs. Mary Dailey, Stanford; one brother Henry Dailey, Danville; one
sister, Mrs. Walter (Mary Lou) Berry, Stanford; 10 grandchildren; seven
step-grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m.,Wednesday, at the Fox Funeral Home,
with the Rev. Morris Trayner officiating. Burial was in the Buffalo Springs
Cemetery.

SILER- James Howard Siler, 52 of Clinton,
Okla., was pronounced dead on arrival at Clinton Hospital Wednesday. Cause of
death is unknown.
He
was in the aluminum siding business and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors
include his wife, Maxine Naylor Siler of Danville; his mother, Bertha Cain of
Stanford; a son Jeff Siler of Indianapolis, Ind.; three daughters, Mr. Michael
Manuel of Indianapolis, Mrs. Floyd Clouse of Edwardsburg, Mich. and Paula Siler
of Danville; two brothers, Chester of Finley, Ohio and Virgil Siler Jr., of
Stanford; three sisters, Elizabeth Messer of Waynesburg, Ella Mae Holtzclaw of
Hubble and Phyllis Johnson of Stanford and three grandchildren.
Funeral was held Sunday, August 24, at Morgan and Fox Funeral Home with
John Arnett officiating. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery.

SIMPSON -Irene Simpson, 49, of Crab Orchard
Route 1, died Thursday, February 19 in Lancaster, Calif., as a result of an
automobile accident.
She was a native of Lincoln County and a member of the Mt. Zion Church of
Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Hulen Simpson of Crab Orchard, Route 1; a
son, Johnny Simpson of Crab Orchard Route 1; a daughter, Alicia Ann Nickols? Of
Monterey, Calif.,; her father, Amie Genton of Norwood, Ohio; two sisters,
Lucille Benge and Wanda Thompson, both of Crab Orchard; a brother, Herman Genton
of Fairfax, Ohio; five grandchildren; step mother, Mrs. Velva Genton, Norwood,
Ohio; and one half brother, Ricky Genton, Norwood, Ohio.
The Rev. Kelly Ellis conducted services Monday, February 23 at Mt. Zion
Church of Christ. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Stanford, died Monday, March 2, at her home of a heart attack.

native of Beattyville, she was a housewife, a member of Pine Hall Church of

William R. "Jack" Spratt, Sr., 71 of 2304
Federal Ave., passed away Saturday. He was a member of the Church of Christ and
the Junction City, Kansas, Masonic Lodge. He was retired fro the U.S. Army and
was a veteran of WWII.

Josephine Beatrice Tucker, 79, Route 1, Kings Mountain, Ky, passed away
on Saturday, November 26, 1983, at the Fort Logan Hospital after a long illness.
She was born on September 3, 1904, in Lincoln County. She
was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of the Methodist
Church.
She is survived by two brothers, James Tucker, Route1, Kings Mountain and
Preston Tucker, Route 1, Stanford; and one sister Mrs. Jane T. Blanks,
Lexington.
Funeral services were held at the Morgan and Fox Funeral Home Monday, at
2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Fred Hill officiating.
Pallbearers were Irvin Wall, Jess Clarkson, Porter Cox, Henry Clark Lair,
Charles Hubbard and Tommy Napier. Burial was in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Edward L. Wade, 74, Wyandotte, Mich., died Thursday at
Riverside Hospital in Trenton, Mich. after a short illness.
A Lincoln County native, he was a retired employee of Kentucky State
Hospital, and a veteran of WW I and he was a member of the Methodist church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elda French Wade, Wyandotte, three sons,
Eddie Wade, Danville, Carter and Joe Wade, Wyandotte; one brother Wilbert Wade,
Akron, Ohio; five sisters, Mrs. Robert Vaught, Stanford; Mrs. Alan Smith,
Riverside, Oregon; Mrs. Walter Stone, Louisville, Mrs. Margaret Ray, Lexington
and Mrs. James Peace, London and five grandchildren.
Funeral services well be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Morgan and
Fox Funeral Home with the Rev. Odell Leigh officiating. Burial will be in
