Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Saylor Blanton, age 90 of Turkeytown Road, Crab Orchard, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2003 at Fort Logan Extended Care in Stanford, KY.

She was the widow of William J. Blanton who preceded her in death on March 15, 1987.

Mary was born July 16, 1912 in Lincoln Co. KY to Joseph and Martha Fletcher Saylor. She was a member of the Watts Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons; Thomas Lee Blanton and his wife Bobbie of Cartersville, GA., John William Blanton of Crab Orchard, KY., a brother, Donald C. Saylor of Miamisburg, OH., a sister Margaret Hassett of Miamisburg, OH. Also surviving are 2 granchildren, 2 great grandchildren

Predeced in death by her husband, William, a son Marvin J. Blanton, a sister Wilma Robinson, brothers: Edward, Frank and Fred Saylor.

Pallbearers include, Frankie Nunn, Lawrence McIntosh, Ralph Hollon, Richard Deaton, Dale Stamper and Bud Saylor.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2003 at 1 PM at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel in Crab Orchard, KY. Services conducted by minister, Bro. Dan Gutenson. Burial at Coldiron Family Cemetery.

LONDON - William David Bordes, 74, of London, died Saturday at Marymount Medical Center.
Born Aug. 8, 1924, in Rockcastle County, he was a son of the late Francese and Lily McBee Bordes. He was a retired truck driver for Ford Motor Co., and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Ratliff Bordes; a son, Larry W. Bordes of California; a sister, Beulah Quinn of Louisville; a brother, S.C. Bordes of Somerset.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at House-Rawlings Funeral Home by the Rev. John R. Jones. Burial with military rites by Caswell Saufley American Legion Post 18 will he 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Doris Bourque, 79, Logan Trace Apartments, Stanford, died Thursday at home.
Born Dec. 8, 1917, in Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Julia and Steven Manson and the widow of Raymond Bourque. She was a member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses at Halls Gap, Lincoln Co.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Bourque of Stanford; and a son, Raymond Bourque of Massachusetts.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall, Stanford.

Mr. Jack Dempsey Bowen, age 63 of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, May 21, 2004 at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY.

He was born April 05, 1941 in Lincoln County, KY., to the late Homer and Mattie Bowen . He worked for 21 years for Penn Ventilator.

Survivors include; daughters; Cristy Newcomb of Stanford, Ky, Rita Goodwin of Stanford, sons; Dennis and Rodney Newcomb of Stanford, KY, a companion, Ruth Newcomb of Stanford, a sister, Alice Bowen of Danville, KY. Also survived by 5 grandchildren

Pallbearers include; Mickey Goodwin, Jordan Wilkinson, Tyler Wilkinson, Jeff Smith, Homer Carl Bowen and Mark Bowen.

Services will be at 2 pm, Sunday, May 23, 2004 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel in Crab Orchard, KY. Officiating services will be Bro. Dan Gutenson. Visitation will begin at 12 noon on Sunday, May 23, 2004 prior to the funeral services. Burial at Ephesus Baptist Church cemetery.

STANFORD - Johnny Taylor Britt, 52, of McKinney, died Monday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Nov. 29, 1951, in Madisonville, he was the son of Flora Taylor of McKinney and the late Amos Taylor. He was a security guard at Lincoln County District Court, a former fire chief at McKinney Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of McKinney Area Rescue Squad.

Survivors include his wife, Nora Rothwell Britt; a son, Shannon Britt of McKinney; a daughter, Lena Britt of McKinney; and a granddaughter.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. Jim Norman. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John and James Rothwell, June Bug Moore, Scott Coffman, Tommy Naylor, Junior Deatherage, David Carman and Mike Goodwin.

SCIENCE HILL - Lucille Muncie Carter, 72, of Eubank, died Saturday at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Born March 15, 1931, in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the late Fannie Muncie.She was a clerk and a volunteer
at Pulaski County Library and Historical Society. She was a member of Eubank Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Arbret Carter; a son, Kevin W. Carter of Springfield, Va.; a daughter, Cheryl Carter
Rowland of Blacksburg, Va.; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home by Shelby Reynolds. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.

Mr. Joseph Sylvester Clausen, age 85 of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, passed away, Thursday, December 02, 2004 at the Stanford House Nursing Home. He was the husband of Mildred Harris Clausen, whom he married on February 09, 1946 at the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Lincoln County, KY.

Born Sept 29, 1919 in Ottenheim, KY., he was the son of the late Liberatus and Mary Busse Clausen. He was a retired farmer and a WW II Army Vertean and a lifetime member of the St. Sylvester Chatolic Church.

Survivors include; his wife Mildred Harris Clausen of Crab Orchard, KY, a son Dennis Ray and wife Sheila Clausen of Crab Orchard, KY., a son Joseph Darrell and wife Sharon Clausen of Waynesburg, KY., a brother, Clem Clausen of Pleasant Plan, OH., 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters; Sophia Furio, Elizabeth Sullivan, Ann Clausen, brothers; George, Vic, John, Tony and Leo Clausen.

Pallbearers include: Tichard Clausen, Mike Coers, Joe Mohinners, Dale Osterman and Billy, Tommy, Mike and Buddy Schuler. Honorary pallbearer: Ernest Hopkins.

COFFMAN, Elmer
Elmer Coffman, 75, Charleston Health Care Center, died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born May 15, 1921, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Alfred and Ida Lane Coffman.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Survivors include three brothers, Kenny and Charlie Coffman of Danville and Bill Coffman of Junction City, and a sister, Hazel Hampton, Perryville.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Hall. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers are Roy Osborne, Jim Heinz, Kenneth Roller, Marvin Atwood, Carl Betts and Arthur Colvin. Honorary pallbearers are George VanArsdale and Kenneth Crouch. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today.

CRAB ORCHARD - A memorial service for Jewell Ann Brock Cummins, 56, of Crab Orchard, will be 11 a.m. Friday at McKnight Funeral Home.

Born June 20, 1949, in Wallins Creek, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Sara Morgan Brock. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Bennie R. Baker, Henry G. Baker and Daniel B. Cummins, all of Crab Orchard; a daughter, Sara Jane Cummins of Crab Orchard; four brothers, David, Jimmy, Benny and Jack Brock, all of Brodhead; and three sisters, Nancy Miller, Donnie Sue Poynter and Betty Brock; and two grandchildren.

STANFORD -- Maurice Claude "M.C." Davis, 89, of Hwy. 1770, died Sunday at his home.
Born Sept. 26, 1909, in Williamsburg, he was a son of the late Frank and Rebecca Nicholson Davis. He was a retired grocer, farmer and cattleman; and a former teacher. He was a member of Stanford Baptist Church and a gradate of Cumberland College.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Combs Davis; two sons, Glenn W. Davis of Stanford and Raymond H. Davis of Lexington; three brothers, Dr. Franklin Davis of Port Charlotte, Fla., Dr. Elmer Davis of Pensacola, Fla., and Kenneth R. Davis of Louisville; three sisters, Blanch Mitchell of Miami, Fla., Pauline Markel of Morristown, Tenn., and Jemmie Batchelor of Murphy, N.C.; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Tim Boschen. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

NEW CASTLE, IND. - Jo Ann Dietz, 75, of New Castle, Ind., died Wednesday in New Castle.

Born Nov. 9, 1928, in Hustonville, she was the daughter of J.T. and Effie Lunsford Bogie.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph H. Dietz; two sons, Joe "Mike" Dietz and Foster "Greg" Dietz, both of New Castle; a daughter, Sherri Ann Dietz of Harrodsburg; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Macer-Hall Funeral Home by the Rev. Fran Bullock. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery in New Castle.

STANFORD - Charles Ray Estes, 59, of Upland Drive, died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born June 1, 1939, in Columbia, he was a son of the late Clarence and Mary Franklin Estes. He was a retired North American Phillips Lighting employee, where he worked for 35 years. He was a member of Stanford Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include his wife, Glenda Reynolds Estes; two sons, Michael D. Estes and Tim Estes, both of Stanford; a brother, Garnett Estes of Cincinnati; four sisters, Bessie Harmon, Inis Phillips and Nancy Franklin, all of Columbia, and Evelyn Kearns of Shepherdsville; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Stanford Baptist Church by the Revs. Tim Boschen and Steven Smith. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Caudill, Elmore Wardlow, Pat Peck, Clyde Oaks, Charles Sallee, D.L. Jeffries, Glenn Spoonamore and Amos Vonlinger.

Mrs. Grace Garner, Age 70 of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, formerly of Texas passed away Saturday, April 26, 2003 at Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, Kentucky. She was the wife of Ralph Garner. Arrangements are incomplete at this time.

Velva Bee Simpson Genton, age 84 of Norwood, Ohio, formerly of Crab Orchard, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2003 in Ohio. She was the wife of the late Amie Genton.

Survivors include, son, Rick Genton of Norwood, OH., stepson, Herman Genton of Ohio, stepdaughters: Wanda Thompson of Crab Orchard, KY., Lucille Benge of Crab Orchard, KY., Jewell Brown of Crab Orchard, KY. Also survived by 3 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren.

WAYNESBURG - Thomas Michael Goodin, age 2 months, Johnson Road, died Saturday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington.
Born June 27, 1998, in Lincoln County, he was a son of Jeff and Crystal Goodin of Waynesburg.
Additional survivors are two brothers, Cody and Jeffrey Goodin; and three grandparents, Manda Goodin of Waynesburg and Paula and Alvin Vinyard of Stanford.

Born July 19, 1932, in Hustonville, she was a cashier and an employee of Maislin Trucking Co. for 28 years and a member of Valley Mill Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Terri Clark; two sisters, Toni Vanoy and Raye Jones; a brother, Jimmie Reed; and four grandchildren.

She was born Dec. 29, 1943, in Bethel Ridge, Ky., a daughter of the late Doyle Taylor and Mary (Price) Taylor. She was a supervisor for Whiting Manufacturing Co. She was a member of Heartland Baptist Church-Pisgah.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Harness; a son, Christopher Harness of Sharonville, Ohio; a daughter, Mary Harness of Sharonville, Ohio; five brothers, Ralph (and Vina) Taylor of Petersburg, Va., Carroll (and Helena) Taylor of King Bee community, Edward (and Faye) Taylor of Science Hill, Ky., Dee (and Alberta) Taylor of Science Hill, Ky., Roy (and Janet) Taylor of Somerset; and three grandchildren, Savannah, Mitchell and Ethan.

CRAB ORCHARD - Laura Nicholas Harness, 99, of Harness Road, died Tuesday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born April 13, 1904, in Milton, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Isaac and Margaret A. Braley Nicholas. She was a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing, a member of Bethel Church of Christ and the widow of William C. Harness.

Survivors include two sons, William H. Harness and James E. Harness, both of Crab Orchard; two daughters, Dorothy Stigall of Eubank and Betty Holtzclaw of Stanford; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at McKnight Funeral Home by Curt Herrington. Burial will be in Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Troy and Alan Stigall, Bryan, Jason and Bill Harness Jr., Glenn Hardin, Greg Murphy and Joe Otte.

STANFORD - Katie Phillips Hazlett, 97, of Stanford, died Monday at Stanford House nursing home.

Born April 8, 1907, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Minnie E. Rousey Phillips. She was a homemaker, a member of Neals Creek United Methodist Church and the widow of George W. Hazlett.

Survivors include four daughters, Virginia Craine of Louisville, Serena Mullikin of Richmond, and Ruby Gander and Sue Fox, both of Stanford; 37 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six sons, Edward, Kelly, Fred "Wink", Andrew, Ray and George Hazlett Jr.; and two daughters, Aline Burton and Dorothy Hazlett.

Pallbearers will be Mike Bishop, Wendell, Kelly J., Ricky and Ronnie Hazlett and Fred "Bo" Gander.

Honorary pallbearers are Fred Fox Jr., Roger Fox, Rodman and John Burton, Ernie Adams, and Eddie L., Joe and Bobby Hazlett .

CRAB ORCHARD -- Lucy Mae Merida Hendrickson, 82, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born April 8, 1917, in Knox County, she was a daughter of the late Addison and Rhoda Smith Merida. She was a member of Crab Orchard Church of God and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Charles F. Hendrickson; three daughters, Jewell Marks-berry of Indianapolis, Rhoda Salyers of Green Castle, Ind. and Brenda Cota of Douglass, Mass.; six sons, Glen Hendrickson of Oregon, Ill., Lonnie Hendrickson of Lexington, Larry Hendrickson of Scottsburg, Ind., and Neville, Bobby and Hubert Hendrickson, all of Crab Orchard; 28 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crab Orchard Church of God by Rollie Short and Dan Carr. Burial will be in Ephesus Baptist Church Cemetery.

HOOD, Franklin Glen
CRAB ORCHARD - Franklin ``Glen'' Hood, 61, of Crab Orchard, died Sunday in White City, Ore.
Born May 25, 1936, in Rockcastle County, he was a son of the late James H. and Maggie Reedy Hood. He was a member of Watts Chapel Baptist Church. He was a welder and boilermaker, and a Marine veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, April Tennant of Greenfield, Ind.; two sons, Darren Hood of Shelbyville, Ind., and Barry Hood of Indianapolis, Ind.; three sisters, Flonnie Hawkins of Crab Orchard, Zella Saylor of Winchester, and Dorothy Chaney of Shelbyville, Ind.; a brother, Jack ``A.J.'' Hood of Crab Orchard; and a grandchild.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday at McKnight-Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Dan Gutenson. There will be no visitation.

CRAB ORCHARD - Edward G. Hoskins, 86, of Paoli, Ind., formerly of Crab Orchard, died Friday at Paoli Health and Living Community Center.

Born Feb. 15, 1917, in Rockcastle County, he was the son of the late Matt and Verinda Shelton Hoskins.

He was a farmer and honorably discharged Army veteran of World War II, where he received an American Theatre Ribbon and European African Middle Eastern Ribbon with three bronze stars. He also received a World War II Victory medal and Good Conduct medal.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Crab Orchard Cemetery by Dan Gutenson.

STANFORD - Services for Rowena Green Jeffries, 89, of Stanford, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Beck. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
She died Wednesday at Stanford House Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 24, 1909, in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late O.T. and Lucy Douglas Green. She was a homemaker and a member of Stanford Baptist Church. She was the widow of E.C. Jeffries.
Survivors include a son, D.L. "Jeff" Jeffries of Stanford; two brothers, T.L. Green of Albany, Ind., and Loftus Green of Lexington; two sisters, Rodella Hatchell and Ocelia Underwood, both of Lexington; a grandchild; two great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Hastie, Jimmy Cooper, Pat Peck, Fred Reichenbach, George O. Spoonamore and J.B. Camenisch.

CRAB ORCHARD - Andrew Steven Lissall, 22, of Crab Orchard, died Friday at the University of Kentucky Hospital of injuries sustained Thursday in an automobile accident that occurred on Ky. 39 south of Crab Orchard.
Born Jan. 13, 1974, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was a son of Michael and Effie Mae Morgan. He had previously attended United Pentecostal Church.

LIBERTY - James Harold Martin, 67, 615 Martin Road, Liberty, died Friday at his home after a short illness.
Born Oct. 31, 1929, in Hamilton County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Roy and Mattie May Martin. He was a farmer and a member of Creston Missionary Baptist Church and Casey Creek Masonic Lodge No. 536. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Roberts Martin; a son, James Harold Martin Jr. of Dunnville; a daughter, Loretta Bryant of Liberty; two stepsons, Larry Britton of Stanford and Richard Britton of Campbellsville; three sisters, Jenny Foley of Cincinnati, Barbara Jones of Corbin, and Roena Deehan of Lexington; a brother, Travis Martin of Louisville; six grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Mr. William Earl “Bill” Martin, Jr, age 40, of 382 Edwards Road, Crab Orchard, Kentucky, passed away Thrusday June 26, 2003 at his home.

He was the husband of Sondra Jane Derringer Martin. They were married on December 11, 1999. He was born April 11, 1963 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky to William Earl Martin, Sr. and the late Janice Harris Martin. He worked as a mechanic for United Rentals.

Survivors include: his wife Sondra, his father William, Sr. his stepmother, Fern Martin, daughters; Brandy Lee Martin, Billy Joe “B. J. Martin, son, William Earl “Willie Martin,III , stepson James Dean Marriott, step daughter Heather Rene Derringer, stepson Eric Lee Derringer. CRAB ORCHARD -- Willie V. "Peanut" Mullins, 71, of Elm Street, died Friday at Fort Logan Extended Care Center, Stanford.
Born Dec. 6, 1927, in Knott County, he was a son of the late Wallace B. and Rosie Johnson Mullins. He spent much of his life doing carpentry work and attended Crab Orchard Old Regular Baptist Church.
He was a U.S. Army sergeant who served in the Korean War. He received a Combat Infantry Badge and the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Stars.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Anthony Mullins.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Martin Mullins; three sons, Jeffrey L., Jerry M. and Willie V. Mullins Jr., all of Crab Orchard; a brother, James "Jim" Mullins of Crab Orchard; a sister, Mary Bennett of Crab Orchard; and four grandchildren.

She was a former employee for U.S. Shoe and a member of New Haven Road Church of God.

Frank Wells Powell, age 73 of Louisville, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 1, 2002, at his home. Born December 15, 1928 in Kentucky, Mr. Powell received a Bachelor's Degree from Centre College, Danville, KY, and the Master's Degree from Gallaudet University, Washington, DC. Mr. Powell was a nationally recognized leader in deaf education having served as a teacher, administrator and author at the Texas, North Carolina, Kentucky and Tennessee Schools for the Deaf. Also, he served as Director of the Callier Speech and Hearing Center, Dallas, TX. He was a frequent speaker and consultant on issues affecting deaf education and a valued advisor and mentor to many in national deaf education circles. Mr. Powell was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force having served as a navigator in the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R. M. and Mary Letha Powell, Stanford, KY; and brother, R. M Powell, III, Blytheville, AR.

He is survived by sisters, Peggy Murphy, Nicholasville, KY and Mary (Kate) Roberts, Louisville, TN; brother, Josh Powell, Atlanta, GA; adopted son, Mark Oppie, Louisville, TN; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Mr. Powell's life and faith will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Broadway, Maryville with The Rev. Mr. Earl L. “Red” Reynolds, age 74 of 262 Main Street, Crab Orchard, Kentucky passed away Monday morning at the Rockcastle County Hospital.

He was born April 04, 1929 to the late Joe Buster Reynolds and Jessie M. Reynolds Crabtree in Garrard County, KY. He worked as a train wheel assembler at Griffin Wheel Company in Chicago, He was a a member of New Hope Holiness Church in Mt. Vernon.

She was owner and operator of Blue Monday Antiques in Stanford for 25 years. She also taught school in Fort Knox and Cincinnati, and was a director of the Cecilian Bank in Elizabethtown.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she was a cheerleader and member of Delta- Delta - Delta Sorority, and a life member of the UK Alumni Association.

She was a member of The Logan's Fort Foundation, Lincoln County Historical Society, Stanford Depot Restoration Committee, Stanford Garden Club, Stanford Women's Club and the Logan-Whitley Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. She also was a Kentucky Colonel, chairman of the Lincoln County Heart Fund and a former director of Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce.

Born Sept. 2, 1939, in Louisville, she was a daughter of the late George B. and Reba Gardner Buchanan. She was a member of Stanford Christian Church.

After her retirement, she was employed by the Harvey Helm Public Library in Stanford. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and Springfield Beauty College.

STANFORD -- Services for Nellie Carman Sims, 88, formerly of McKinney, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Fox Funeral Home by John Lowry. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
She died Friday at Sayre Christian Village Nursing Home, Lexington.
Born Oct. 29, 1910, in Casey County, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe and Lucy Price Carman. She was a homemaker and member of McKinney Christian Church. She was the widow of Leon Sims.
Survivors include two sons, Earl Sims of Indianapolis and Clyde Sims of Fairland, Ind.; two daughters, Joyce Adams of Nicholasville and Lois Statom of Greenwood, Ind.; a brother, Dallas Carman of Waynesburg; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today.

CRAB ORCHARD - Services for Pauline Harris Smith 67, of Crab Orchard, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel by Dan Gutenson. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Born May 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Rachel Bennett Harris. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Smith and a member of the Watts Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Carter of Crab Orchard; three sons, Kenneth E. Smith Jr., Ronnie J. Smith and Randy Smith, all of Crab Orchard; three brothers, Gobel Harris, Eugene Harris and Jesse Harris, all of Crab Orchard; a sister, Linda Baker of Lancaster; 18 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Carter, Jim Smith, Frankie Harris, Mike Watkins, Ken Smith and Matt Holden.

CRAB ORCHARD - Phyllis Mary Perry Smith, 58, of Ky. 3244, died Wednesday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.

Born Jan. 29, 1946, in Ypsilanti, Mich., she was the daughter of Mary P. Riddle Perry of Brodhead and the late Rolla Perry. She was a member of Mount Zion Church of Christ and a support manager at Stanford Wal-Mart.

Other survivors include her husband, Elmer D. Smith of Crab Orchard; three daughters, Lisa Shelton, Jennifer Simpson and Mary Ann McFerron, all of Crab Orchard; a sister, Shirley Sharp of Ypsilanti; a brother, Rolla "Roy" Perry of Wisconsin; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at McKnight Funeral Home by Thad Eubank. Burial will be in Mount Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Terry, Brett, Bart and Donald Smith and Steve and Keith Sharp.

WAYNESBURG - Elgie Stonesifer, 93, of Akron, Ohio, died Thursday in Akron.
A native of Waynesburg, she was a daughter of the late Hunley and Susan Reynolds Singleton. She was a member of Pond Baptist Church and served as pianist and Sunday School teacher for many years. She was the widow of Henry C. Stonesifer.
Survivors include five daughters, Vernelle Shannon of Houghton, N.Y., Willena Rawdon of Akron, Agnes Marks of Tallmadge, Ohio, Waneta Alexander of Shelby, Mich., and Shirley Rohrbough of Hart, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Farley Funeral Home, Akron; and 9-11 a.m. Monday at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home.

STANFORD - Bertha Mae Withers Thomas, 83, of Hubble Road, widow of Chadwell Thomas, died Thursday at St. Joseph East hospital in Lexington. Arrangements are incomplete at Fox Funeral Home.

Mrs. Edna Mae Thompson, 70, of 628 Greenwood Drive, died Saturday, November 19, 1994 at her residence. Born March 17, 1924 in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late George Young and Ellar Mae Gooch Young. She was the widow of Emmett W. Thompson.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church. Survivors include: two sons, Nelson Thompson and Robert L. Thompson, both of Harrodsburg, one daughter, Ruth Thompson, Harrodsburg; a brother, Joe Young, Dayton, OH; and a sister, Christine Bradshaw, Danville.

Services for Mrs. Thompson were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Lewis Walter officiated with burial in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Keith McQuerry, James Robinson, Tim Robinson, Mike Thompson, Scott Moseley and Dan Young. Memorials are suggested to Heritage Hospice.

Leroy H. Thompson, 78, of Hebron, died at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. He was a retired real estate broker with Leroy H. Thompson Agency, a member and elder emeritus of Bullittsville Christian Church and a member of Hebron Masonic Lodge No. 757 and Scottish Rite, Covington. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Boone Thompson; a son, Dwane Thompson of Bend, Ore.; a daughter, Minda Thompson of Erlanger; sisters, Mildred Beatty of Ashtabula, Ohio, and Frieda Sims of Mason, Ohio; and four grandchildren.

SCIENCE HILL - Sharon D. Wall, 48, of Eubank, died Wednesday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born March 28, 1958, in Lexington, she was a daughter of Omer O'Conner of Waynesburg and Lillian Caswell of Nicholasville. She was a registered nurse at Fort Logan Hospital and the widow of Michael Wall.

Survivors include a son, Scott Wall of Burnside; a boyfriend, Gayle Scharbrough of Eubank; two brothers, Mike O'Conner of Burnside and Rob Caswell of Graefenburg; a stepbrother, Shannon Caswell of Lexington; a stepsister, Sonya Withrow of Lexington; and two grandchildren.

Services were today at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home by Mike Mullins. Burial was in Double Springs Cemetery, Waynesburg.

Gary Lee Williams, age 53 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2006 at his home. He was the husband of Sharon Lanoda Cocker Williams whom he married on March 28, 1976.

He was born on February 6, 1953 in Dayton to the late George Williams and Rendia Mae Johnson Neace. Gary worked as a Drywall installe for Walton Interior in Ohio. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, daughters: Angela, Tara, Sonya, all of Dayton, a son Gregory Powers of Connecticut. Also survived by brothers: Homer, of New Carlisle, OH, Marvin of FL., George of Fairborn, OH, sisters: Martha Van Oss of Ohio, Rayma Faye Thompson of Ohio, Ida Taylor of Mississippi, Johniva Smith of Louisiana, Marlene Diaspro of Louisiana, and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Saturday, May 13, 2006 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel in Crab Orchard, KY, with Mr. Billy Coker officiating. Burial will take place at Stringtown Cemetery, Crab Orchard, KY.

Services for Lennie Lane Winfough, 100, of Bluegrass Pike, are 2:30 p.m. today at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Benningfield. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

Born Jan. 19, 1904, in Rockwood, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Knox Lane. She was a retired L.P.N. and played the piano for silent movies in Danville. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Cecil R. Bales and Glen Winfough.

Survivors include a daughter, Marie White of Danville; one granddaughter; one step-granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be George Plunkett, Freddie Woods, Brandon Woods, Troy Henry, Robbie Pendygraft and Donald Anderson.

WOFFORD, Patricia
Patricia "Pattie" Wofford, 65, of Garden Drive, Stanford, died today. She was the wife of Vernon Wofford. Arrangements are incomplete at Stith Funeral Home.

Mr. Tony Wren, age 41, of Nebo, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at his residence. A native of Stanford, KY he was born on November 7, 1962 to the late Bert L. and Alice Lamb Wren. He was employed by Collins & Aikman. Mr. Wren was a loving husband to his wife Ella and his children, Anthony, Phillip and Brittany. Tony is also survived by one brother, Keith Wren of Marion, one sister, Marcella Whitaker of Crab Orchard, KY. and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Jerry Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Strickland Cemetery in Old Fort.
