BAUGHMAN, Sam H.                                                d. 12 June 2004

MORELAND - Sam H. Baughman, 83, died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Sept. 7, 1920, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Henry and Hettie Floyd Baughman. He received
a degree in agriculture from University of Kentucky and served in the Signal Corps during World War II. He was an
active supporter of various community projects, a farmer and member of Hustonville Christian Church.

Survivors include one brother, John H. Baughman of Athens, Ala.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Burton. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Billy Ray and Josh Douglas, Steve Porter, Glen Shearer, Jimmy Baughman, Fred Reichenbach and Brian Gover.

STANFORD - Graveside services for Pearl Embry Beazley, 94, West Main Street, will be 2 p.m. Friday at
Buffalo Springs

by the Rev. Oscar Mayes.  She died Wednesday at Fort Logan Hospital.
Born Oct. 23, 1902, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel J. and Anna Belle Woods Embry. She was former
owner and co-operator of Beazley-Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home, Stanford. She was a member of Stanford Christian Church
and Buffalo Springs Cemetery Board and former president of the Business and Professional Women's Club. She was the widow of
Gatewood G. Beazley.
Survivors are two daughters, Susan Cherry and Florence Beazley, both of Stanford; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dan Barnett, Bill Demrow, Farris Marcum and Scott Ernst.
Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at her home, 411 W. Main St., Stanford.

MORELAND - Margaret Ann Brown, 67, of Moreland, died Saturday at her home.

Born Sept. 13, 1936, in Bullett County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Hale Cook. She was
a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Russell Brown and Steve Brown, both of McKinney; two daughters, Tammy Morgan of
Moreland and Mary Ann Brown of McKinney; two brothers, Lester and Chester Cook, both of Stanford; two sisters,
Dorothy Atwood of Moreland and Helen Reed of Stanford; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Brown.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Revs. Mike Yocum and Gary Yocum. Burial will
be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris and Charles Adams, Lonnie Brown, Gary Young, Randy Maybrier, Bobby Brown, Tommy Tillett
and Bruce Brown Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Mark and Jennifer Brown, Johnathan and Jessica Morgan and Stephanie Adams.

LANCASTER - Granville Ray Cash, 57, of Old Richmond Road, Crab Orchard, died Saturday at his home.
Born May 23, 1941, in Pulaski County, he was a son of Dovie Reynolds Cash of Crab Orchard and the late Swannie E.
Cash. He was a farmer and attended Fairview Church of Christ, Pulaski County. 
Survivors include a son, Scott Cash of Crab Orchard; two daughters, April Cash and Marisa Cash, both of South Carolina;
two brothers, Glen E. Cash of Eubank and Donald W. Cash of Crab Orchard; a sister, Lavone Dyer of Eubank; and a granddaughter.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at
Fairview Church of Christ by the Rev. Vernon Willard. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Martin, Steve Abee, Wallace Gresham, Maurice Bryant, Billy Simpson and Joe Oaks.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home.

STANFORD - Services for Dorothy Ivodene Caudill, 76, of Waynesburg, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home
by Vola Brown. Burial will be in K.P. Hall Cemetery.

She died Monday at Fort Logan Hospital.

Born Jan 12, 1928, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Hassell and Della Falconberry Reece. She was an
employee of Vincent-Fister Moving Co., a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and Eastern Star. She had been a
Kings Mountain High School valedictorian.

Survivors include two sons, Ray and Scott D. Caudill, both of Winchester; two sisters, Elwanda Gourley and Christine
Young, both of Waynesburg; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.

     Lawrence Coleman of Lebanon Junction died Thursday, July 23, 1998 at the Audubon Hospital in Louisville,he was 
71 years old.  Born in Casey Co,he was a retired school teacher and U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.

     Survivors: wife, Maudy Lee Durham Coleman; daughters, Carolyn Wren, Lowena Lattiff and Patty Adams; sons, 
Larry, Merrill, Darrell, Kendall, Jerry, and Michael Coleman; sister; Mary Bell Godbey.

STANFORD - Services for Elizabeth Wyler Cooper, 80, of Stanford, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Spurlin Funeral Home
by the Rev. Jerry Beck and Jim Reed. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

She died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Nov. 11, 1923, in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Matilda Lademann Wyler. She was
owner and operator of Stanford Fruit Market for 33 years, a member of Harris Memorial United Methodist Church and
the widow of Benton Cooper.

Survivors include three sons, Earl Copper, Donald Lee Cooper and Gary "Buck" Cooper, all of Stanford; a brother,
Rudolph "Buddy" Wyler of Stanford; three sisters, Ida Mae Gover of Stanford, Rose Carrier of Highland and Carolyn
Helton of Fort Myers, Fla.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be nephews.

COX, Melvin                                                                        d. 12 June 2004

STANFORD - Melvin Cox, 82, of Ky. 501, Kings Mountain, died Saturday at Stanford House nursing home.

Born May 12, 1922, in Gravel Switch, he was the son of the late Elus E. and Melinda Hollon Cox. A member of
Church of Christ, he was a retired employee of Danville Waterworks Department and a World War II veteran. He
was the widow of Marie Terry Cox.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Walls and Connie Bastin, both of Kings Mountain; a sister, Christine Cox of
Danville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services are 2 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home by Wayne Galloway. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Mr. Clyde Lee Coy, 66, 388 Runyon Road, died Monday, June 17, 1996 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born December 16, 1929 in Lincoln county, he was the son of the late O. H. and Effie Smock Coy.

He was a retired meat manager for Kroger where he was employed for 40 years. He was a member of the Harrodsburg
Baptist Church, former superintendent of the young peoples department, teacher for 10 year old boys department, manager
of VFW baseball team, Council of Boy Scouts, operated Coy & Daughtery food booth at the Mercer County Fair and
Horse Show for over 25 years.

Survivors include: his wife, Lucille Wiley Coy, Harrodsburg; three sons, Michael Coy, Chapel Hill, NC, Larry Coy,
Lexington, Jeff Coy, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Sandy Coy Pickett, Harrodsburg; five brothers, Tab Coy, MI, Donald
Coy, Cincinnati, OH, Charles Coy, OH and Alvin Coy, FL; one sister, Joann Bates, Berea; seven grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by a sister, Alice Neal.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 19 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Carrier and
Dr. Robert DeFoor officiating. Burial was in
Spring Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jim Underwood, Jim Davis, Stephen Wiley, Brian Wiley, Kelly Lester and Chris Wiley.

STANFORD - Services for Ben Randolph Damron, 86, of Stanford, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Stanford Christian Church
by the Rev. Jim Baughman, Pete Gilliam and Greg Porterfield. Burial will be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery with military
rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18, American Legion. He died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born April 27, 1918, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Robert and Lula Earles Damron. He was a retired agriculture
teacher, a member and deacon of Stanford Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and a member of Lincoln County Retired
Teachers Association and Lincoln Lodge 60 F&AM. Survivors include his wife, Jane Raney Damron; a son, Robert R. Damron
of Nicholasville; a daughter, Mary Ann Hirschler of Frankfort; and a grandson.

Pallbearers will be Jody Lasure, H.R. Saufley, T.J. Hill, Robert P. Damron, Marvin Marshbanks, Johnny Thompson, Neal
Vannoy and Lowell Atwood.

Honorary pallbearers are members of Lincoln Lodge 60, Lincoln County Masons, Bob Ryan, Harlan Veal and Alfred Pence.
Spurlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

DAVIS,  Alvin                                                                d. 22 June 2004

Alvin Davis, 82, of Middletown, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Kettering Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Nov. 26, 1921, in Crab Orchard, [Lincoln County], Ky., and lived in the Middletown area since 1945. Mr.
Davis served in the U.S. Army during World War II as combat engineer. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, Good
Conduct Ribbon, and the Bronze Battle Star for his service. He was employed as a machinist at Champion International for
42 years until retiring in 1988. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Emily Davis; a daughter, Phyllis Davis; a son, Alvin Davis Jr.; and three
sisters and five brothers.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary E. Davis; a daughter, Sherry Coldiron of Middletown;
two grandsons, Tom Howard and Michael (Kathy) Howard, both of Middletown; four great-grandchildren, Brittany Howard
of Trenton, Ohio, Zachary Howard and Kaleb Howard, both of Faubush, Ky., and Kaitlin Howard of Middletown, Ohio; a
step-great-granddaughter, Tracy Spicer of Middletown; a brother, Edward (Edna) Davis of Springfield, Ohio; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Butler County Memorial Park Chapel, with
the Rev. C. Nolan Phillips officiating. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.  Baker-Stevens Funeral Home in
Middletown is handling arrangements.

CRAB ORCHARD - Nina Ellen Brock Deatherage, 80, of Stanford, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional
Medical Center.

Born Oct. 14, 1923, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Elga and Myrtie Martin Brock. She was a
retired seamstress for Cowdens Manufacturing and a member of Stanford First Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence "Bug" Deatherage of Stanford; two sons, Keith Deatherage, and Dohn M.
Deatherage, both of Stanford; a brother, E.G. Brock of Stanford; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry J. Deatherage.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stanford First Church of God by David Harris and Mike Cox. Burial will be
in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Deatherage, Kenny Kidd, Rodney Brock, Ricky Brock, Greg Kidd and Ricky Kidd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Foster "Doc" Hays and Jim Deatherage.

He died Tuesday at his home.
Born April 1, 1920, in Letcher County, he was a son of the late Nehemiah and Cora Day Eldridge. He was a retired employee
of Kentucky Frame Co. and a farmer. He was a member of Little Pilgrim Rock Old Regular Baptist Church and a veteran of
World War II. 
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Lee Riddle Eldridge; six sons, Jerry L., Bobby D., and Larry J. Eldridge, all of Waynesburg,
Bennie R. and Lonnie D. Eldridge, both of Somerset, and Ronald L. Eldridge of Nicholasville; five daughters, Doris J. Woodall
of Somerset, Judy C. Smith of Crab Orchard, Joyce A. White of Princeton, Ind., Janie M. Wilder of Jonesville, Va., and Janis
F. Spears of Bethelridge; two brothers, Joe Eldridge of Rivera, Ariz., and Arnold Eldridge of Davenport, Fla.; a sister, Marge
Large of Harrodsburg; 20 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. 
He was preceded in death by a son, James E. Eldridge.

Born Sept. 3, 1918, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Luther Salyers and Mary Jane Floyd. She was a homemaker
and a member of Mt. Olive Christian Church. She was the widow of Calin C. "Dickie" Elliott.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Martin of Liberty; five sisters, Betty Meeks of Kings Mountain, Clytha Godbey, Martha
Robertson and Mary Liz Carrer, all of Waynesburg, and Bertha M. Fight of Ohio; four brothers, Clifford Salyers of Glasgow,
Vernon Salyers of Middleburg, Jessie Salyers of Liberty and Norman Salyers of Somerset; a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Olive Christian Church by Greg Powell. Burial will be Salyers Cemetery.

WAYNESBURG - Ronald Estes, 68, of Lexington, died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.

A native of Pulaski County , he was born Jan. 25, 1936, and was a son of the late Dennis and Bertie Gooch Estes. He was a
former plumber with M.N. Berry Co., Somerset.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Coomer Estes; a son, Dennis Lee Estes of Lexington; two daughters, Teresa Hardy of Nicholasville,
and Tammy Thompson of Greenville, Tenn.; two sisters, Vernie Bennett of Lexington and Ella Mae French of Jacksonville, Fla.;
and four grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by Verlin Price. Burial will be in Eubank Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Carrol and Jason Estes, Kenny Hardy, Brandon Saylor, Greg Burden, Jerry Bennett, and Donnie and Jerry

She died Friday at the University of Kentucky Medical Center's Markey Cancer Center, Lexington.
Born Feb. 7, 1926, she was a native of Detroit, Mich., and the daughter of the late Alexander and Frieda Haddad Canaan.
She was a former employee of Cowden Manufacturing, a homemaker, and member of Double Springs Baptist Church. She
was the widow of Homer Garrison.
Survivors include two sons, David and James Garrison, both of Waynesburg; three daughters, Janice Sims of Apex, N.C.,
Lori Ellis of Harrodsburg, and Sandy Woodall of Waynesburg; a sister, Isabell Canaan of Detroit; and nine grandchildren.
Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

GOOCH, John Earl; 56,  of 203 Maplewood Dr., Lancaster, KY., died Sunday, June 17 in Putnam General Hospital in
Hurricane, WV.  A native of Lincoln county, he was born August 3, 1933 to Earl Gooch and Bess Boone Gooch.  He was
a supervisor at Bryant Electric co., in High Point, NC., a former building contractor, a U.S. Army veteran and a member of
Old Goshen Christian Church.  Survivors include his wife Osa House Gooch, Lancaster; one son, 2nd Lt. John Mark Gooch,
Louisville; his mother, Mrs. Earl (Bessie) Gooch, Stanford; one grandson, John Marland Gooch, Louisville; 1 niece and 1 nephew. 
Pallbearers were David Scott, LeRoy Boone, Stuart Powell, Johnny Harness, Adrian Gooch, and Marvin Marshbanks. 
Honorary pallbearers were Carroll Gooch, Bud Wilmot, bob Marshbanks, Rick Gooch, Cooper Harris and Otis Cave.

Samuel Howard Gooch Jr., 90, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Danville, died Saturday in Mesa.

Born June 10, 1913, in Stanford, he was the son of the late Tim and Virgil Gooch. He was a retired Danville school employee and
barber and a deacon and member of Turnersville Baptist Church. He was the widower of Ethel Goode Gooch.

Survivors include a daughter, Lucille Meaux of Danville; five sons, Leon Gooch of Danville, Frank Gooch of Mesa, Robert Gooch
of Cincinnati, James Gooch of Stanford and Samuel Gooch of Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Lucille Jones of Danville; 22 grandchildren;
19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Second and Walnut streets, by the Rev. Herman Bradshaw. Burial will
be in Turnersville Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

STANFORD - Janice A. Goodpaster, 30, of Ky 643, Waynesburg, died Friday in Stanford.

Born April 15, 1974, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Falconberry and Wanda Lawless Bright of Crab
Orchard. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Goodpaster; two daughters, Brandy Faddis of Waynesburg and Lori Gaskin of Stanford;
a son, Ronnie Goodpaster of Danville; a sister, Michelle Jones of Trenton, Ga.; two brothers, David Falconberry of Waynesburg
and Joe Proffitt of Knoxville, Tenn.; and one grandchild.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home by Dale Denton. Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery.

FRANKFORT - Lucille Deatherage Goodrich, 82, of Frankfort, died Thursday at Bradford Square Nursing Home.

Born in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Hubert B. and Fronie B. Root Deatherage. She was a retired employee
of National Distillery after 28 years and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was the widow of Joe Goodrich.
Survivors include a daughter, Deloros Karsner of Frankfort; a stepdaughter, Jo Carol Carter of Millville; a sister, Irene Parker
of Frankfort; a brother, Hubert Deatherage Jr. of Stanford; a grandchild; two step grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Funeral Home by the Rev. Gerald Roe. Burial will be in
Sunset Memorial Gardens.

HARMON, EARL , 94

     Earl Harmon of Liberty died August 23,1998 at Liberty Care Center.  He was 94 years old.       Born in Adair County on 
Aug. 11, 1904, he was a son of the late Creed and Lizzie Jane Long Harmon and the widower of Lexie Morgan Harmon and
Telitha Lawson Harmon.

     Survivors include a daughter, Jane Lynn of Stanford; two sons, William Harmon of Nicholasville and Charles Harman of Liberty; 18
grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

     He was prededed in death by four brothers, Jody, Haydon, Johnny and Edgar Harmon; three sisters, Minnie Montgomery, 
Mag Burton and Martha Moore; and two grandchildren.  Burial was in Poplar Springs Cemetery.

HARNESS, James Franklin, 48, of 177 Shannon Parkway, Nicholasville, former Crab Orchard mayor, died June 11 at
Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.  A native of Lincoln County, he was born May 5, 1942 to the late William Bradford
and Georgia Smith Harness.  He had been employed by Gulf State Newspaper Co., Nicholasville for 18 years and had
been a shipping and receiving supervisor there.  He served as Crab Orchard’s mayor for several years and also as chief
of police.  He was a founder and president of the East End Ambulance Service, a member of Crab Orchard Masonic
Lodge #636, a member of Oleika Temple, and a member of the University Heights Church of Lexington.  Survivors include
his wife, Mildred Smith Harness; a son, Michel Donovan Harness, Nicholasville; two daughters, Kriste Dawn Harness and
Kathy Ranae Harness, both of Nicholasville; two brothers, David Eugene Harness and Richard Keith Harness, both of Crab
Orchard; three sisters, Anna L. Ledford of Cincinnati, Nona Griffin of Crab Orchard and Arlene H. Foster of Somerset. 
Funeral services were held Thursday at the Martin Funeral Home by Gerald Marc Nations and Thaddus Eubank.  Burial
was in the family cemetery.  Pallbearers were Jaro Albright, Arthur Henry, Gerald Cobb, Bobby Lowry, Raymond Caudwell

WAYNESBURG - Raleigh Hensley, 81, of Hwy. 1781, Waynesburg, died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 7, 1922, he was the son of the late Ford and Chloe Hacker Hensley. He was a World War II Army veteran, retired
from Fisher Body in Fairfield, Ohio, and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

He is survived by wife Lynetta Jacobs Hensley; two daughters Naomi Ogden of Sweetser, Ind., and Ruth Gentry of Marion,
Ind.; a brother, Edward Hensley of Fairfield, Ohio; a sister, Ada Hibbard of Hamilton, Ohio; three grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Pleasant View Baptist Church by Vola Brown and Aaron Hogue. Burial will be at

in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of Lula Maddox May of Danville the late Frank Wright. She was a retired employee
of Matthew's Conveyer and a member of Junction City First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Ever Ready
Sunday School Class.

She was a United Way volunteer and a member of the Gardening Club at Matthew's Conveyer. She was the widow of
Richard Hundley. Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Southerland of Stanford; three sons, Vance  Curtsinger of Danville,
Kelly Curtsinger of Nicholasville and Kim Curtsinger of Junction City; four sisters, Sue Gammon, Cookie Burger and Belle
Mattingly, all of Danville, and Jean Burge of Niniveh, Ind.; six grandchildren; and her former husband, Hezekiah Curtsinger
of Morehead. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Ernest Martin. Burial will be in
Hustonville Cemetery

he was 83 years old. Born in Casey Co on April 5,1915,he was a son of the late Ransom and Rosa Napier Hatter. He was the 
widower of Lillie Walls Hatter.

widow of Isaac R. Kidd and Alva Jacobs.

SOMERSET - Emma Katherine Adams Kidd, 62, of Somerset, formerly of Garrard County, died Thursday at her residence.

Born May 13, 1942, in Garrard County, she was the daughter of the late Milton Adams and Addie Mae Tankersley. She was
a homemaker and member of First Presbyterian Church in Somerset. She was president of the Eagles Nest Ladies Golf Association
and the first female to make a hole in one at Eagles Nest Country Club.

She was a board member of Eagles Nest Country Club, a member of Central Kentucky Golf Association and a member of Lake
Cumberland Ladies Golf Association.

Survivors include her husband, Eddie P. Kidd; three daughters, Sherri K. Smith of Stanford, Patricia L. Mayfield of Somerset and
Rhonda Denise Kidd of Somerset; a brother, Donald Adams of Stanford; and six grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Somerset, by the Rev. John Cole. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Mr. Lee Johnson, 96, of Lee Johnson Road, Paint Lick, died Monday, April 1, 1996 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

A native of Lincoln County, he was born July 3, 1899, the son of the late John and Nannie Adams Johnson.

He was a retired farmer, an avid fox hunter, a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and the widower of Jonny Pearl Poynter Johnson.

Born Aug. 23, 1931, in Crab Orchard, he was the son of the late Gabe and Eunice Spivey Hoskins. He was a mechanic for Philips
Lighting for 42 years, a member of Vertaker Association and Harrodsburg Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Hiatt Hoskins; two daughters, Irene Hoskins of Danville and Dallasteen Sizemore of Paint Lick;
three sons, Willie J. Hoskins Jr. of Lancaster, Willie G. Hoskins and Martin R. Hoskins, both of Gravel Switch; a brother, Joe

Born Dec. 4, 1911, in Hustonville, she was the daughter of the late James H. Woods and Sophia M. McCormack Woods. She was
the widow of George O. Spoonamore, Jr. She was a housewife and a former department clerk in the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
She was a past state PTA president and a member of the Stanford Christian Church.

Survivors include three sons, George O. Spoonamore III of Stanford, Jim Spoonamore of Lexington and Jim Reed of Stanford; five
grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Ephraim Helton, Gary Carter, Sonny Spoonamore, Street Spoonamore, Jim Woods Adams, Jim Reed II, Willie
Brown, and Arnold Stogsdil.

ABERDEEN, Miss. - Evelyn Sue Brown Stoddard, 53, of Aberdeen, died Thursday at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Born in Eubank, she was the daughter of Charles l. Brown of Waynesburg and the late Bessie Shelton Brown. She was a member of
Double Springs Baptist Church in Waynesburg and a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Carl C. Stoddard; four sisters, Carol Williams and Sheila Lambert, both of Waynesburg, and Sharon
Carney and Rita Maddox, both of Stanford; four brothers, Jimmie Brown and Eddie Brown, both of Danville, and Charles Brown and
Randy Brown, both of Waynesburg.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Double Springs Baptist Church by the Rev. Brad King. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery.

SUMMERS, DAISY  

Mrs. Daisy Gladys Summers, 58, of 449 North Main Street, died Monday, June 24, 1996 at her residence.

Born in Lincoln County, July 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Alice Hensley.

She was a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband, James T. Summers, Harrodsburg; one son, David Summers, Harrodsburg; three daughters, Dianne
Summers, Darlene Merriman and Debbie Mattingly, all of Harrodsburg; six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.

A memorial service was held June 27 at the Pioneer Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis M. Walter officiating. She was taken to the
Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home and later to the Body Bequeathal Program at the University of Kentucky.

STANFORD - Services for Ransom Yocum, 54, of Hustonville, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral Home. Burial will
be in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.

Mrs. Effie Lee Vaught, 62, of 229 Allen Drive, Danville, died Sunday, March 17, 1996 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional
Medical Center.  She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  

Born January 15, 1934, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Bernard Taylor and Edna Lucille Vaught Gilmer.  

Survivors include: her husband, Sam Vaught, Jr., Danville; two sons, John Gilmer Vaught, Hustonville and Michael Lee Vaught,
Danville; one daughter, Lynda Sue Elliott, Harrodsburg; one brother, David B. Gilmer, Louisville; six grandchildren and one
great grandchild.  

Services for Mrs. Vaught were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home in Danville, with the
Rev. Ernest Martin and the Rev. Greg Nimme officiating. Burial was in the
Hustonville Cemetery.  

Pallbearers were Jere Vaught, Ryan Vaught, Scott Gilmer, Colby Elliott, Jeff Goodlett and Kirby Taylor.

STANFORD - James Keith Yocum, 46, of Stanford, died Friday.

Born Sept. 25, 1957, in Stanford, he was a son of Ruth Yocum Spaw and the late Delmer Yocum. He was the widower of
Kathy Bolin Yocum. He was a farmer.

Other survivors include a daughter, Tori Yocum of Hustonville; a sister, Phyllis Durham of Stanford; a half-sister, Penny Yocum
of Liberty; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Spurlin Funeral Home by the Rev. John Cato. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Boyd, Dan Bolin, Carlisle Poynter, Carlisle Poynter Jr., Charlie Dunn and Ronnie Cox. Honorary
pallbearers will be Tommy Owens and Wayne Cox.

He died Monday at his home. Born June 3, 1950, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Carol N. and Ruth L. Cooper
Yocum. He was a construction worker and a Navy veteran of Vietnam.

Survivors include three daughters, Cammy Moore of Waynesburg, Lisa Yocum and Brandie Gastineau, both of Stanford; a son,
Ransom Harold Yocum of Yosemite; a brother, Michael Yocum of Hustonville; and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Moore, Danny Gastineau, Keith Bell, Scotty Hill and Terry Wray. Honorary pallbearers are Terry
Estes, William Moore, Julian Farmer, Stanley Johnson and Clearance Manuel.
