WAYNESBURG - Delores Adams, 55, of Eubank, died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
She died Monday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
Born March 6, 1933, in Letcher County, she was a daughter of Cinda Whitaker Adams of Pikeville and the late Crocarr Adams. She was a retired teacher and the widow of the late Rex D. Blair. 
Survivors include two daughters, Bonita Blair of Lexington and Madena Blair of Eubank; a brother, Allen K. Adams of Jeremiah; a sister, Angeletta Fields of Pikeville; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services will be 6 p.m. Thursday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home. Burial will be in
Friendship Cemetery, Ellison Ridge.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until time of service Thursday.

WAYNESBURG - Darwin Ray ``Doc'' Adington, 69, of Eubank, died Sunday at his home.
Born March 9, 1929, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Lonnie and Gertrude Taylor Adington. He as a farmer and a retired employee of the state highway department. He was a member of Mount Moriah Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Mae McKinney Adington; two sons, Danny R. Adington of Waynesburg and Lanny J. Adington of Eubank; a daughter, Brenda S. Rice of Eubank; a brother, Bobby Adington of Halls Gap; three sisters, Margie Wilhelm of Cincinnati, Ohio, Macelene Stevens of Eubank and Marlene Haggard of Waynesburg; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Parlor Grove Baptist Church by the Revs. Troy Roberts, Mike Mullins and Stan Sluder. Burial will be in
McKinney Family Cemetery.
Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post 18, American Legion. He died Saturday at Rockcastle County Hospital.

Pallbearers will be Bert McGohon, Bill Hale, Roger Baker Jr., Jimmy Dyehouse, Tommy and Kevin Messer and Van Knox. Honorary pallbearers are Neil Park, Jimmy Gover, Jim Collier, Hank Coats and Marshall Scott. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Friday at McKnight Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

She died Thursday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
Born Sept. 12, 1919, in Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late Judge and Leola Gregory Bell. She was a retired cook at Kings Mountain Elementary and a member of Kings Mountain Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Denver Bell; a son, Norman Bell of Waynesburg; three daughters, Mary Elliott of Waynesburg, Lois Grodi of Erie, Mich., and Katie Ray of Lancaster; two brothers, J.B. Bell of Portland, Tenn., and Eather Bell of Coopersville; a sister, Hazel Jones of Coopersville; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Born July 8, 1912, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Virgil and Maudie Denham.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Bishop; a daughter, Lavonne Ritchie of Cincinnati, Ohio; two brothers, Bobby Denham of Stanford and Fred Denham of Richmond, Va.; two sisters, Iva Sears of Florence and Nina Durham of Danville; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were Nov. 26 at Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger. Burial was in
Highland Cemetery.

She died Monday at Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center, Somerset. Born March 28, 1905, in Pulaski County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Ruth Herren Rogers. She was a homemaker and member of Miracle Temple Church. She was the widow of James Herbert Carmack. Survivors include five sons, Elmer, Tommy, Johnny and Orland Carmack, all of Waynesburg, and Charles Carmack of Eubank; three daughters, Carrie Anderson and Alice Carmack of Waynesburg and Lucille Pike of Kings Mountain; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby Marie Carmack. Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at the church. Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

WAYNESBURG - Willie Tommy Carmack, 55, Estesburg Road, died Saturday at Vencor Hospital, Louisville, as the result of an automobile accident Jan. 1 on U.S. 27 near the Pulaski-Lincoln County line.
Born May 10, 1941, in Pulaski County, he was a son of the late James Herbert and Lizzie Mae Rogers Carmack. He was a farmer and a member of Miracle Temple Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include four brothers, Charles Carmack of Eubank, Elmer Carmack, Johnny Carmack and Orlando Carmack, all of Waynesburg; three sisters, Lucille Pike of Kings Mountain, Carrie Anderson and Alice Carmack, both of Waynesburg.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home by A.F. Atwood. Burial will be in
Double Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews.

CRAB ORCHARD - Cash Franklin Deraine Carpenter, 7, of 1304 Manor Boulevard died Friday from injuries suffered in a traffic accident.
Born Feb. 21, 1990, in Lexington, he was a son of Ricky Carpenter of Richmond and Sonda Fowler of Crab Orchard. He completed the first grade last school year at Crab Orchard Elementary School and enjoyed fishing, swimming and riding his bicycle.
Additional survivors include a brother, Andrew Scott Bruner of Crab Orchard; his step father, Ricky Fowler of Crab Orchard; his former step parents, David Scott and Teresa Bruner of Crab Orchard; five stepbrothers, Rodney Fowler, Ricky Lee Fowler Jr., Travis Fowler, Kelvin Taylor and Mickey Taylor, all of Crab Orchard; a stepsister, Amanda Fowler of Crab Orchard; his maternal grandfather, Albert Hinds of Lancaster; his maternal grandmother, Helen Withrow of Cleveland, Ohio; and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Alma Carpenter of Richmond.
Services will be noon Monday at Crab Orchard Elementary School cafeteria building by the Rev. Stewart Dawson. Burial will be in
Richmond Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shane Simpson, Frankie Napier, David Hasson and Robert Hasson.
Visitation is 7-9 p.m. today at the school cafeteria building.

WAYNESBURG - William Thomas Case, 70, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Waynesburg, died Tuesday at Community East Hospital.
Born Oct. 1, 1927, in Elmwood, Ohio, he was a son of the late Forest L. and Edith F. Humphries Case. He was an owner and operator of Vans Tavern for 30 years.

 He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of United Midget Racing Association for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Spaw Case; and a sister, Shirley Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home by the Rev. Monte Carney. Burial will be at
Pilot Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley American Legion Post 18.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at Shirley Brothers Funeral Home; and noon-2 p.m. Friday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home.

WAYNESBURG - Amanda Ann Bastin Caudill, 97, of Ware Road, died Friday at Stanford House Nursing Home in Stanford.
Born Aug. 18, 1899, in Mount Olive, Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Solomon and Mary Elizabeth Godbey Bastin. She was a homemaker who specialized in quilt-making and a member of Mount Olive Christian Church. She was the widow of Matthew Caudill. She was predeceased by two sons, Otha Ray Caudill and Franklin D. Caudill.
Survivors include five daughters, Edna Mae Ware and Deva Jean Jones, both of Waynesburg, Effie Marie Sims of Kings Mountain, Mary Nancy Moore of Cincinnati and Darlena B. Broady of Litchfield, Minn.; one brother, John Quincy Bastin of Mount Olive; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home by Mike Roberts and the Rev. Greg Powell. Burial will be in
Piney Grove Cemetery, Casey County.
Pallbearers will be Gary Ware, Larry Ware, Dale Fair, Charles Sims, Don Caudill, Tony Moore, Timmy Moore and Terry Moore. Visitation will be 6 p.m. today.

MORELAND -- Services for Virgie Hair Coffman, 95, of Hustonville will be 2 p.m. Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
Born May 1, 1906, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Arthur  and Betty Lane Hair. She was retired from Hustonville 
School where she was a cook for 25 years. She was the widow of Bill Coffman and a member of Ellisburg Baptist Church. 
Survivors include two daughters, Bernice Roberts of Hustonville and Gloria Pruett of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Thomas Hair of Junction 
City; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dewey and Ernest 
T. Coffman.
Pallbearers will be David Coffman, Mike Rhea, Brad Ellis, Bud Jeffries and Jerry Ellis. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.

LEXINGTON -- John Thomas Cordier, 58, of Lexington died Sunday at Central Baptist Hospital. 
Born March 26, 1944, in Stanford, he was the son of the late William F. and Allene Newland Cordier. He was an insurance agent for Creech and 
Stafford Insurance Agency. He was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in business administration/management. 
He served as a radio man in the Navy from 1964-1967. He also worked as a manager of the Berea College Log House sales room, a bookkeeper at 
Bluegrass Coca-Cola, and was an insurance agent for Metropolitan Life and C.J. Lear and Co. He was a member of Gardenside Baptist Church 
where he served as an deacon and church moderator. Survivors include his wife, Carla Goodrich Cordier; a son, Jonathan D. Cordier of Lexington; 
two brothers, Robert E. Cordier of Georgetown, Texas, and Harry C. Cordier of Nicholasville; and a grandson. He was preceded in death by an 
infant daughter, Caroline Cordier.
Services were today at Gardenside Baptist Church. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.

CLOVERDALE, Ind. - Chester J. Cornett, 73, of Eminence, Ind., died Sunday at Putnam County Hospital.

Born July 18, 1931, in Letcher County, he was the son of the late John D. and Cinda L. Cornett. He was a metal finisher at Chevrolet Truck and Bus, farmer, employee of Chrysler Corp., and ice cream truck driver. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and the widower of Marvel I. Rowland Cornett.

Survivors include four daughters, Peggy Kleiknight of Yuma, Ariz., Valerie Gruener of Fillmore, Ind., Kathy Cornett of Indianapolis and Carol Hawkins of Greencastle, Ind.; two sisters, Rosetta Miller of Mount Vernon, Ohio, and Jean Munday of Zephyrhills, Fla.; two brothers, Arlie Cornett of Lakeland, Fla., and Arvin Cornett of South Carolina; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home by Alan D. Small and 10:30 a.m. Friday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home in Waynesburg by the Rev. Chester Cornett.

Visitation will be 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Whitaker Funeral Home and 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home in Waynesburg. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg.

Born Aug. 7, 1916, in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Riley and Vada Keith Correll. He was a farmer and a member of Pleasant Point Baptist Church. He is survived by two brothers, Don Correll, Louisville, and Ray Correll, Kings Mountain. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Pleasant Point Baptist Church by the Rev. Ed. Parton. Burial will be in Pleasant Point Cemetery. Visitation is 3-9 p.m. today at Fox Funeral Home, and noon-2 p.m. Monday at the church.

She died Thursday at Fort Logan Hospital, Stanford.
Born Oct. 31, 1922, in Pulaski County, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Eliza Gill. She was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Morgan Dobbs of Windsor; a son, Beecher Hurt of Stanford; a sister, Aileen Taylor of Crab Orchard; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Born March 8, 1920, in Casey County, he was a son of the late James and Eliza Patterson Dunham. He was a retired factory worker, a World War II Army veteran, and a member of Church of Christ and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Bates Dunham; two sons, Michael Dunham of Ironton, Ohio, and David Dunham of Nashville, Tenn.; a stepson, Ronnie Bates of Waynesburg; a daughter, Elaine Said of Nashville; a stepdaughter, Ellen Tarter of Cincinnati, Ohio; seven step grandchildren; and eight step great-grandchildren.

Born Oct. 12, 1921, she was a native of Garrard County and daughter of the late Marshal Scott and Rella Ruble Scott Hiatt. She was a homemaker and member of Pleasant Point Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, John C. Dunn of Waynesburg; a son, Stephen Dunn of Somerset; a daughter, Annette Story of Waynesburg; a sister, Jeanette Boone of Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home by Bill Rhodus. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Story, Dan Story, Shawn Dunn, Billy Hayes, David Cole and Charles Fortney.

Born Nov. 25, 1926, in Garrard County, he was a son of the late Jesse and Mary Hopkins Dyehouse. He was a former owner of Dyehouse Farm Supply. He was an Army veteran and a member of Crab Orchard Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Baker Dyehouse; four daughters, Judy Hammons of Crab Orchard, Rhonda Marshbanks of Stanford, Yvonne Montgomery, and Lisa Dyehouse of LaCresenta, Calif.; two sons, Kenneth Dyehouse of Brodhead and Michael Dyehouse of Crab Orchard; two sisters, Theatrice Fish and Inez Carter, both of Crab Orchard; and 10 grandchildren.

Born Jan. 27, 1922, in Lincoln County, he was a son of the late Barney and Bernetta Ballard Ernst. He was a retired farmer and custodian and Kings Mountain Elementary School, a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivor include his wife, Ivagene Williams Ernst; two sons, James B. Ernst of Winchester and Robert A. Ernst of Kings Mountain; two daughters, Debra L. Ernst of Waynesburg and Sharon G. Neal of Byrdstown, Tenn.; a brother, David Ernst of Stanford; a sister, Geneva Skeen of Waynesburg; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Born Jan. 4, 1956, in Louisville, he was a son of Wiley B. and Geneva Willis Faw. He was a student at Eastern Kentucky University, a former pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, Broughtontown, Three Springs (Ky.) Baptist Church, Polly Ann Baptist Church, Eubank, and Freedom Baptist Church, Stanford. He attended Pleasant View Baptist Church, Waynesburg.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Padgett Faw; a son, Wiley B. Faw III of Longview, Texas; a daughter, Rebecca L. Faw of Williamsburg; a brother, Jacob Faw of Somerset; and two sisters, Rhonda Cassel of Dayton, Ohio, and Mira Reeves of Japan.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Olive Baptist Church, Waynesburg, by the Revs. Don Meece and C.E. Jacobs. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born Jan. 7, 1913, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Armilda Rice Hendrickson. He was a former employee of Bob Saylor Grocery Store and a farmer. He was the widower of Lucy Mae Merida Hendrickson.

Survivors include six sons, Glenn E. Hendrickson of Oregon, Ill., Nevil G. Hendrickson of Crab Orchard, Lonnie R. Hendrickson of Lexington, Bobby O. Hendrickson of Maryville, Tenn., Hubert Hendrickson of Lancaster and Larry W. Hendrickson of Austin, Ind.; two daughters, Rhoda M. Salyers of Green Castle, Ind. and Brenda S. Cota of Scottsburg, Ind.; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was a retired employee of Palm Beach Co., a former employee of Mercer Dress Co., a provider of private duty nursing care, a member of the 
Danville-Boyle County Senior Citizens Center and a member of the Harrodsburg Community Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Debbie A. Talley of Danville; a brother, James Merriman of Middletown, Ohio; five grandchildren; and eight 
great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Martin; a daughter, Connie Sue Martin of Somerset; three step-daughters, Kathy Blair of London, Rebecca Miller of Annville, and Cheryl Elmore of Casey County; a son, Steven E. She died Saturday at Lexington Country Place.
Born April 10, 1900, in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Letcher Owsley and Hallie Hamilton Owsley Dunlap. She was a retired teacher and librarian, having received degrees from Transylvania University and University of Kentucky. She taught at Lexington's Junior High School and Henry Clay High School.
She was a member of Friends of the Lexington Public Library, the Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation, the Northside Association and the Womans Club of Central Kentucky, and Colonial Dames of America. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, Beta Phi Mu, Delta Kappa Gamma, honorary fraternities. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon, Circle Chairman and Sunday School teacher.
Owsley was a niece of Governors Letcher and Owsley and a great-niece of William Whitley, owner of the first brick house in Kentucky, now a state historic site.
Survivors include a sister, Dorothy D. Pinson of Ft. Myers, Fla. Ramsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

MORELAND - James Vernon Pemberton, 65, died Saturday at Stanford House Nursing Home.
Born Aug. 24, 1932, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Jess R. Pemberton and Mable Hughes Pemberton. He was a retired steelworker and a member of
the Pentecostal church.
He is also survived by his wife, Jean Gill of Moreland; three sons, DeWayne Pemberton and Michael Lee Pemberton, both of Lexington, and Jimmy Dale
Pemberton of Iowa Park, Texas; three sisters, Brenda Dwight and Vonda Allen, both of Portage, Ind., and Veda Heuchin of Merritt Island, Fla.; and two brothers,
Bobby Pemberton of Moreland and Ronald Pemberton of Hobart, Ind.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Conley Tirey. Burial will be in

Double Springs Cemetery. He died Monday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Born April 10, 1929, in Boyle County, he was a son of the late Frank and Rodie Burke Pike. He was a saw mill worker and a farmer. He was a member of Waynesburg Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Lucille Pike; a son, David Pike of Kings Mountain; three brothers, Clarence Earl Pike of Crab Orchard; Herman Pike of Louisville and Harrison Pike of Waynesburg; two sisters, Mildred Helen Lawless of Crab Orchard and Faye Hodge of Waynesburg; and three grandchildren. MIDDLEBURG - Franklin Lee Pittman, 37, of Kings Mountain, died Tuesday in Stanford of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
Born Dec. 16, 1960, he was a son of Lena Mae Elliott Pittman of Waynesburg and Charlie Pittman of Danville. He was a mechanic.

Born April 27, 1912, in Milton, W.V., she was a daughter of the late Alice Nichols. She was as homemaker and a member of Bethel Church of Christ, Lincoln County. She was the widow of Henry O. Playforth.
Survivors include three sons, Marvin R. Playforth and Mitchell R. Playforth, both of Lancaster, and Calvin Playforth of Stanford; five daughters, Vivian F. Sutton of
Cincinnati, Lelia J. Price of Somerset, Kathleen Reynolds of West Chester, Ohio, Janet S. Belcher of Stanford and Karen M. Lane of Glynn Haven, Fla.; a sister,
Laura Harness of Crab Orchard; 26 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Arnold L. Playforth.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Reynolds; two sons, Larry Long of Stanford and Wendell Long of Lancaster; two daughters, Patty Sowders of Stanford and Bernice Nutgrass Johnson of Danville; three stepsons, Michael Reynolds of Waynesburg, and Timmy and Dennis Reynolds of Louisville; two stepdaughters, Dewanna Grabeel of Eubank and Georgia Jenkins of Highland; four sisters, Thelma Green and Fredia Bastin, both of Stanford, Berdena Peyton of Germantown, Ohio, and Emily Black of Knoxville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nine step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren. MORELAND - Elmer Thomas Russell, 52, of Hustonville died Friday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, after a long illness.
Born May 5, 1946, in Casey County, he was a son of Bessie Hafley Russell of Hustonville and the late Thomas S. Russell. He was a retired employee of AllTel Telephone Co. of Shepherdsville and a member of Ellisburg Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include his wife, Le Verne Maples Russell; a son, Randall S. Russell of Hustonville, a stepson, Timothy Pendygraft of Danville; a brother, Clay Gilbert Russell of Hustonville; four sisters, Velma Douglas of Harrodsburg, Vivian Allison of Gallatin, Tenn., Mary Ann Reeves of Danville and Helen Vanoy of Junction City; and a stepgrandson.

Services for Robert C. Russell, a founding member of the local Human Rights Commission, 71, of Madison Avenue, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home by the Revs. Tim Mathis and Doug Sharon. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery with military rites.
Russell, 71, of Madison Avenue died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.
``I'm going to miss him,'' said Boyle County Judge-Executive Tony Wilder. ``Robert always had the public in mind. He tackled two tough jobs when he allowed himself to be appointed to the Human Rights Commission and Board of Adjustments.''
Russell was a member of the Board of Adjustments at the time of his death. Earlier this year, Russell resigned from the Human Rights Commission. He was a founding member of that commission.
Russell served on the Danville Central Labor Council and was past president and past political director of the local chapter of Communication Workers of America. Russell volunteered at the Danville-Boyle County Senior Citizen Center, was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America and was active in the Democratic Party. He was Kentucky Colonel.
``He was a person who was very interested in being a good citizen,'' said Wilder. ``He showed he really cared about the worker.''
Russell was retired from BellSouth where he had been a toll test-board operator. He was a part-time cattle farmer and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Broadway, and had served on their personnel committee. He was a graduate of Parksville High School.
Born July 26, 1917, in Stanford, he was a son of the late Robert L. and Ellen Marcene Newsom Russell.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Crain Russell; a son, David C. Russell of Graham, N.C.; two daughters, Joyce Caskey of Dickson, Tenn., and Sandy Underwood of Dallas; two sisters, Mildred McLeod of Houston and Marilyn J. Lampkin of Louisville; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jakie Holmes, Ben Henson, Robert Russell, G.G. Harmon, Andy Parker, Tony Newsom, Dean Sapp and Chris Smith.

Saylor and David Saylor, all of Crab Orchard; a sister, Renda Neace of Louisiana; 26 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, A.J. Saylor, and three daughters, John-Iva Guin, Thelma Pingleton and Geneva Saylor.

Services for Robert D. Sims, 51, Palm Dale, Calif., will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Mark Barnett. Burial will be in

He died Wednesday in California.
Born Sept. 17, 1947, in Indianapolis, he was a son of Henry R. and Lucille Grubbs Sims of Danville. He was an employee of Butler Telcom and an Army veteran.
Other survivors include a son, Glen Sims of Las Vegas, Nev.; and a daughter, DeAnn Sims of Las Vegas; a brother, Carl Sims of Topeka, Kan.

SCIENCE HILL - E.J. Singleton, 72, of Somerset, formerly of Lincoln County, died Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Lexington. 
Born July 25, 1926, he was a son of the late Everett and Victoria Rice Singleton. He was a sales manager at Smith Monument Works for 52 years and was a trustee at Langdon Street Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran and member of American Legion. 
Survivors include his wife, Betty Muse Singleton of Somerset, and a daughter, Linda Burchfield of Somerset. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Joe Gay.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, Science Hill, by the Revs. Adrian Parker and Earl McBride.
Burial will be in
Double Springs Cemetery, Waynesburg.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home assisted with funeral arrangements.

Janie Lee Taylor, 92, formerly of 508 East Walnut Street, died today at Hardin Memorial Hospital Elizabethtown.
Born Dec. 5, 1903, in Moreland, she was a daughter of the late John and Lula Trayner Vaught. She was the widow of the Rev. Andy J. Taylor. She was a member of First Baptist Church where for 38 years she kept the nursery. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Beulah Blosson and Joan Taylor.
Survivors include two sons, Bob S. Taylor of Danville and John T. Taylor of Radcliffe; a daughter, Virginia Harmon Martin of Elizabethtown; a sister, Josephine Kelly of Danville; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in
Bellevue Cemetery.
Visitation is after 4 p.m. Friday at Stith Funeral Home.

STANFORD - The funeral for Ronald Lee "Bo" Taylor, 29, of Water Cemetery Road will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Fox Funeral Home. A private burial will be held at
family cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Neal, Steve Martin, Rick Wells, Ronnie Cook Jr., Gary Taylor, Curtis Cook, Larry Taylor and Richard Taylor.
He died Friday at his home from an apparent drug overdose, according to Lincoln County Coroner Bill Demrow. Demrow said he based his determination of Taylor's death on preliminary results of an autopsy.
Born March 18, 1967, in Sidney, Ohio, he was a son of Donald and Martha Cook Taylor of Versailles. He was a journeyman plumber for Green Mechanical Co., Lexington, and a member of McKinney Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Sara Renee Patterson of Liberty; five brothers, Clark Cook of Minford, Ohio, Randall Taylor of Midway, and Mick Cook, Mark Taylor and Donnie Taylor, all of Versailles; two sisters, Donna Taylor Fields and Karen Taylor Fields, both of Hustonville; maternal grandmother, Eleanora Alford Cook of Harrodsburg; and paternal grandmother, Maedell Taylor of Kings Mountain. STANFORD - Services for Carlos Thedford Terry, 79, of Hustonville, are 3 p.m. today at Greenriver Pentacostal Church by the Rev. Billy Brown. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post. He died Thursday at VA Hospital in Lexington.

Born June 8, 1925, he was the son of the late Thedford and Effie Carrier Terry. He was a mechanic and retired employee of Danville Water Dept., and a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of Greenriver Pentacostal Church, the VFW and American Legion.

He is survived by a brother, James M. Terry of Seattle. Pallbearers will be Larry Walls Sr., Larry Bastin, Larry Walls Jr., Doug Davis, Bryan Walls and Ricky Hogue. Fox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Shawn Sargent of Danville and Ricky Hale of Nicholasville; a daughter, Sherri Smith of Danville; five brothers, Guy Coontz, Danny Coontz and Billy Plummer, all of Danville, Charles Byrd of Tennessee and Donald Coontz of Casey County; and six grandchildren. MORELAND -- Services for former Lincoln County Fire Board member Melbon Mack Toombs, 75, of Toombs Hollow Road, Hustonville, 
will be 2 p.m., Friday at the McKinney Area Rescue Squad building by the Revs. Aaron Snelling and Jim Swafford. Burial will be in 
McKinney Cemetery.  He died Monday at his home.
He was an appliance service technician and a member of McKinney Area Rescue Squad and McKinney Fire Department. He had served 
on the Lincoln County Fire Board and belonged to Lonesome Pines Bluegrass Band. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member 
of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7101.
Born Oct. 3, 1926, in Lincoln County, he was the son of Carlous and Sabra Baugh Toombs. 
Survivors include his wife, Doris Toombs; three daughters, Tina McDonald of Hustonville, Murlyn Toombs of Lawrenceburg and Mary 
Ann Chambers of Okinawa; a son, Wesley E. Toombs of Seffner, Fla.; a brother, Herb Toombs of Danville; six grandchildren; and 
13 great-grandchildren.

Born Aug. 30, 1920, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Leemon and Pearl Trimble Wilson. She was a former employee for Palm Beach Co. and Fort Logan Hospital. She was the widow of Ollie M. Wall.  
Survivors include two sons, Morris L. Wall of Waynesburg and Ronald Wall of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Trisha Simpson of Naples, Fla., and Joan Wall of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Webster L. Wilson of Salvisa; three sisters, Christine Wilson and Alice Blanton, both of Hustonville, and Frances McKee of Waynesburg; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Born July 6, 1941, in Casey County, he was the son of the late Carlos and Pauline Baugh Wall. He was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church and past master of Masonic Lodge College Hill 641.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney Wall of Crab Orchard and Terry Underwood of Junction City; a daughter, Amanda Wall of Waynesburg; eight brothers, Donald, Ronald and Barry Wall, all of Waynesburg, Sammy Wall of Bryantsville, Jimmy Wall of Hustonville, Lloyd Wall of Moreland, Johnny Wall of Science Hill and Norman Wall of Eubank; a sister, Sue Oney of Waynesburg; and four grandchildren. MORELAND - Dorothy Merritt Wilcher, 84, Hustonville, died Monday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. 
Born Nov. 22, 1911, in Pulaski County, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Matilda Mounce Merritt. She was a homemaker 
and with her husband formerly operated Jim Wilcher Sanitary Market. She was a member of Lincoln County Seniors Group, 
Young at Heart Group, and Hustonville Baptist Church. She was the widow of James F. Wilcher. 

Survivors include six daughters, Trudy Davis of Silvis, Ill., Deloris Pendergraft of Hustonville, Matilda Price of DeQueen, Ark., 
Vivian Spahr of Stanford, Diane Cook of Somerset and Sandy Chandler of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sons, Grover C. Wilcher of 
Dallas, Ga., and James F. Wilcher Jr. of Harrodsburg; a sister, Hazel Goodpaster, Marion, Ind.; 21 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 
and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a son. 

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hustonville Baptist Church by the Revs. Greg Nimmo and Harold Thompson. Burial will be in

STANFORD - Charles ``Charlie Buck'' Young, 39, 1055 Boneyard Hollow, McKinney, died Friday at his residence.
Born Aug. 1, 1958, in Garrard County, he was the son of Charles and Louanna Walls Young of Geneva. He was an employee of the Lincoln County Road Department and a member of the Green River Pentecostal Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Bonita Owens Young, his maternal grandfather, Jim Elwood Walls of McKinney; two sisters, Jamie Manuel of Hustonville and Debbie Reed of McKinney.
Visitation is after 6 p.m. today at the Green River Pentecostal Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the church by the Revs. Rick Naylor and Billy Brown. Burial will be in the
Eason Cemetery, McKinney.
