WARRENSVILLE, Ohio - Annie Lou Alcorn of Warrensville died there July 24. Born
March 14, 1936, in Mt. Salem, she was a daughter of Addison Wilkinson of Stanford
and the late Sadie Wilkinson. She attended Lincoln County High School. Other
survivors include her husband, Raymond Alcorn; a son, Orlando Alcorn of
Warrensville; two daughters, Aracelis and Marcellina Alcorn, both of
Warrensville; two brothers, Addison Wilkinson Jr. and Bobby Wilkinson, both of
Stanford; a sister, Thelma Turner of Lexington; and 10 grandchildren. Services
were Saturday at E.F. Boyd and Son Funeral Home, Cleveland, Ohio, by the Rev.
Wilson D. Armstrong.

Church of God
where he served on the board of trustees and as Sunday School
superintendent. He was a World War II veteran.

Christian Church, and an Army veteran of World War II.

ELLIOTT, Elmer A.

Elmer A. Elliott, 85, of Lyons Court, Hustonville, a former postmaster and city
councilman at Hustonville, died Tuesday at Ephraim McDowell
Regional Medical
Center.
Elliott was postmaster from 1956 to 1979 at the Hustonville Post Office. He also
was a farmer. He also was a school teacher and administrator
for 18 years in
Casey and Lincoln counties.
He
began teaching in a one-room school at Mount Olive, was principal at Moreland
Elementary, and ended his career at Hustonville High School.
He served two terms from 1980-84 as a member of the Hustonville City Council. A
military veteran, he served four years in the Navy.
A Casey County native, Elliott grew up in the Mount Olive community. He also was
an agricultural instructor for veterans under the supervision of
the University
of
Kentucky faculty. He taught veterans about farming and keeping accurate records
of farm programs.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Elliott, and one son, Michael Elliott of
Harrodsburg.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland.

Freeman Jones, 78, of Moreland, died Sunday at Veterans Administration Medical
Center, Lexington.
Born Nov. 25, 1925, in
Casey County, he was the son of the late Russell and Violet Russell Jones. He
was a retired furniture upholsterer. He
was a Navy veteran of World War II and
the widower of Lillian Russell Jones.
Survivors include a
son, James D. Jones of Moreland; three sisters, Viva Rothwell of Moreland,
Margaret Roberts of Danville and Elizabeth
Cooley of Franklin, Tenn.; two
brothers, Elwood Jones of Stanford and Kenneth Jones of Liberty; a grandson; a
great-granddaughter; two
step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m.
Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Dale Denton. Burial will be in Hustonville
Cemetery.

Mattie Faye Kidd, 61, of Stanford, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Spurlin Funeral
Home by Roger Stevens.
Burial will be in Dix River Church of Christ Cemetery.
She died Monday at her
home. Born June 23, 1943, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late
Charlie and Sarah Wilson Polston.
She was a homemaker and
a member of McKinney Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, James Henry
Kidd; a daughter, Mary Jane
Bartlett of Daytona Beach, Fla.; a son, John M. Kidd
of Crab Orchard; a sister, Hattie M. Floyd of Danville; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be
Russell Godbey, Jonathan Vandivier, Ed Thaxton, Donnie Griffin, Kenny and Wesley
Stevens, Brian Swinney and
Matthew Day.

HARRODSBURG -- Mollie Dimple Lamb, Dalray Drive, Lexington, died Thursday at her residence.
Born March 17, 1925, in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Matt R. and Ida Florence Simpson Coffman.
She was a homemaker, the widow of William Henry Lamb and a member of the Herrington Lake Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include three sons, Matt D. Lamb of Hot Springs, Ak., William E. Lamb of Lexington and Floyd Lamb of Paris;
two daughters, Betty Worth of Lexington and Lottie Griffith of Houston, Tx.; a brother, Obert Coffman of Perryville,
24 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home by Bob Schafer. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Bishop, Glenn Ray, Billy Divine, Charles Collins, Raymond Brown, Brian Treadway, and Brandon Barnes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Kirby, Larry Moore, and Johnnie Newman.

John Dean. Burial will be in K.P. Hall Cemetery.
Born Oct. 28, 1912, in
Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Forch and Lela Frederick Leach.
She was a retired inspector for
General Electric Co. in Cincinnati and a member
of Landmark Baptist Temple in Cincinnati.
Survivors include her
sister, Hazel Pelsor of Stanford; and nieces and nephews, including Gaylon Leach
of Waynesburg, who was her caregiver.
