CHARLES
ADAMS, 1817 (Written as I understand with unknown unknown words listed as -----
and mistakes included.)
“In
the name of God, Amen I Charles ADAMS of Lincoln County, County and state of
Kentucky being weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make and publish
this my last will and testament in manner and form following (law?).
First I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary ADAMS all my estate
real and personal for and during her natural life or widowhood and to enjoy the
(farm?) in as complete and ample a manner as I as my self giving her full power
to give to any of my children that should marry, so (much?) of my estate as she
can spare in her (discretion?) paying strict regard to what might be considered
an equal dividend to all my children except my daughter Sarah Routon wife of
(Wm?) Routon and if my said wife should not be satisfied to live on the
plantation I now reside upon she is at liberty to sell the same and purchase its
(barn) whenever her fancy or inclination may direct her choice and it is my will
and desire at my wife’s death that my estate should be so disposed of that
each child shall an equal share and it is my will and desire that the children
of my daughter Sarah Routon shall
have an equal share with the rest of my children but they are to enter upon the
enjoyment of it until after the death of their Father William Routon and it is
my will that my executors reserve their said share in their hands until such
period or until the said children shall respectively come of age or be qualified
to (----?) the same and it is my will and desire that my two sons Benjamin ADAMS
and Charles ADAMS be and they are hereby appointed my executors to this my last
will and testament witness my hand and seal this 17 day of October 1817 signed
and acknowledged by the (testor) in presence of us

the last will and testament (-----) there under written of Charles Adams
---------into Court and proven by the oaths of Jeziah Holtzelaugh and James P.
Hall two of the subscribing witnesses there who declared on oath that the
will---- was acknowledged by the testator in their presence and that they
subscribed their names in his presence ”

I would really like a copy of a resolution of a will fight regarding Charles ADAMS listed in Lincoln Co., KY Deed Book Vol S:164, 5, & 6. I have all other deed and court activities regarding Charles ADAMS except this one item.
