WILL OF JANE MONTGOMERY b. ~ 1734; d. bet Oct and Dec 1807 widow of William Montgomery Will Book C, Pg. 127 Lincoln Co., KY Will Dated: 18 Oct 1807 Recorded: 14 Dec 1807 “I Jane Montgomery do so far attest and revoke all other wills and testaments (word?) me at any other time made, as is herein provided, towit, I will & bequeath to my daughter Molly Russell my negroe woman Jenny,also my mare, saddle & bridle; and whatever money remains unpaid for my land. I will & bequeath to Jenny Hughes my bed & its clothes of furniture, and my hat; And to prevent any doubt of my having given to Smith Russell, my colt, I now will it to him. I wish my wearing clothes to be divided among my children. And I will to my son James the money I lent him and all the residue of my estate not herein otherwise bequeathed. In witness wherof I have directed my name to be hereto subscribed in my presence, and my seal to be annexed this eighteenth day of October one thousand, eight hundred & seven.” Her mark and seal Jane Montgomery Wm.
