NOTES: BIOGRAPHY: James Turns appeared in Butler Co., Ky tax rolls for 1811, 1813, 1814 with Little Muddy as the
 watercourse, (no books for 1840-1841). He does not appear on the tax rolls again until 1823, with 197-200 acres 
on Little Muddy. In 1827 he is listed as JAMES TURNER. He is not on the 1828 or 1829 rolls, but appears again in 
1830 and 1831 for he last time. JAMES TURNS probate package found in Ohio Co., Ky courthouse, that listed sales of
 items. One item indicated recording in Book C page 176. WP TURNES purchased the family Bible for .25 cents. 
JAMES TURNS family "may have been" Torrence/Torrance/Torrens. There are indications that James' family came from 
Campbell Co., VA. It has been noted that "MAYBE" his father is JOHN TORRENCE and his mother is SALLY EARLE HAMPTON,
 this is "NOT FOR SURE" and we cannot rely on it. I REALLY WANT TO FIND OUT WHO HIS PARENTS ARE AND WHERE IS HE BURIED?

for husband, James. Her name was listed as POLLY TURNES a note that indicated she was the mother of W. P. TURNES, and
 that he was the administrator of Mary Turnes, deceased and that he paid a debt for her as of 8-14-1843. There is also a 
note dated 9-15-1832 that Phillip Davenport had been paid eleven dollars by William P. Terrence for work done on Mary 
Terrences Farm.
