Edward Watkins Anderson will was written on August 16, 1873 & Probated on October 20, 1873. Will of Edward Watkins Anderson: I Edward W. Anderson of the State of Kentucky & County of Logan, on this sixteenth day of August 1873, do hereby revoking all others. Item first, I will & bequeath to each of my four daughters Mary Susan Finney, Sarah O. Doyle, Martha A. Miller & Lucy Anderson one feather bed & bedding, Lucy to have first choice. Item 2nd, I will & bequeath my silver watch to my son Waverly F. Anderson. Item 3rd, I will & bequeath to my son Edward W. Anderson, my family Bible. Item 4th, I will & bequeath to my daughter Lucy Ann Anderson, the entire proceeds of my little estate after the payment of my just debts. I do this because her life for years past has been spent in ministering to the comfort & necessity of her mother & myself in our old age & not because my other children do not share in my affection. Her dependence makes it right for me to prefer her in my will. Item 5th, I will that Lucy divide the silver ware & family mementoes between herself & her sisters at her own discr! etion. Item 6th, I hereby nominate & appoint George R. Browder as my executor. This is my own act & will signed by me in presence of witnesses this August 16, 1873. Ed. W. Anderson, Witnesses, W. O.
