The Adair County News, December
21, 1904
Mr. P.C. Cleaver, proprietor of
the Cleaver Hotel for the past
two years, has sold that
property to Mrs. John Hardesty,
Sr., for $21,000. Possession is
to be given on Jan. 16 next at
which time the present Hardesty
House will be closed to the
traveling public. The bar is
retained by Mr. Cleaver until
the first of May. Mr. Cleaver
and family are contemplating
going West, but as yet are
undecided as to the future.
Lebanon never possessed a more
kind or universally popular
citizen than Mr. Cleaver. He and
his estimable wife and family
have performed their duty well
as hotel people, all of which
the public appreciates and
wishes them well in any
undertaking they may pursue.--
