AGED HAYSVILLE WOMAN EXPIRES
Illness Of Infirmities Fatal To Mrs. Mary Walls Monday

Mrs. Mary Walls, 81, one of the oldest residents of the Haysville section of the county and known throughout the East End, died Monday evening at 6:35 o'clock at her home following a long illness of general senility.
Although her condition had not been grave until a short time before her
death, she had been an invalid for more than a year, during which time her health gradually failed. She had long been confined to her residence, and in recent weeks had been under the regular care of a physician.

Mrs. Walls, prior to her marriage was Miss Mary McCarty and was born in the same house in which she died. She was reared in the Haysville vicinity where she obtained her education and had spent practically all her life there. Many years ago she was united in marriage to Michael Walls, 'farmer of the county,' and although no children were born of the union, the couple adopted a son, Orville [Carrington] Walls, and reared him from childhood. Mr. Walls died on December 27, 1928, and Mrs. Walls sole survivor is her foster son.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. O. Anderson Jr., Presbyterian minister, from the Haysville Church Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock, and burial followed in the Haysville Cemetery.

Date of Death, July 24, 1939
