Thomas E. Boswell was born in Lexington,Ky., July 19,1853, and is the youngest child of Thomas e. and Harriett ( Campbell ) Boswell, natives respectively of Virginia and New Jersey. The father was engaged in the manufacture of hemp and bagging, etc., and dealt largely in real estate in Lexington. He served as a Lieutant-Colonel in the war of 1812. Five of the eight children born to the parents are now living ; Harriett E., Anna, Lloyd H., George and Thomas E. The last came to this county with his parents when young, and since resided here. He has a farm of 400 acres devoted to farming in its various branches. The family are all members of the Episcopal Church.
