EARL HOUSER, 62, DIES AT HOME

Earl E. Houser, 62, died at 4 a.m. today at his home on Paducah Rt. 8, Schmidt Road.

Mr. Houser, retired, was a former night auditor at Irvin Cobb Hotel and a 27-year employe of the U.S. Corps of Engineers in Memphis.

A native of Gary, Ind. he was a member of a Masonic Lodge in Memphis, a former shriner, and a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Houser; a daughter, of Lone Oak; three sons, two of Lone Oak and one of Bloomington, Ill.

Another son, John Houser, 27, was killed in a highway accident July 16.

Also surviving are a sister, of  St. Louis, Mo., five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral rites will be conducted Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Roth Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Isaac McDonald with burial in Mt. Kenton Cemetery.

Friends may call the funeral home after 10 a.m. Friday.

EARL E. HOUSER RITES SCHEDULED

Funeral services for Earl E. Houser, 62, who dided at 4 a.m. Thursday at his home on Paducah Rt. 8, Schmidt Road, will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Roth Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Isaac McDonald will offficiate and burial will be in Mt. Kenton Cemetery.

Mr. Houser returned to Paducah a number of years ago after serving with the U.S. Corps of Engineers in Memphis 27 years.
He formerly worked as night auditor at Irvin Cobb Hotel.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Herzog, Mr. Adams, Mr. Whittaker, Mr. Gore, Mr. Cook and Mr. McNeely.
