General Hopwood of Hickory, Ky.

Services for General Ray Hopwood, 92 of Hickory will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. The Revs. Ben Butler and Bill Lawson will officiate. Entombment will be in Puryear Family Cemetery.
Mr. Hopwood died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.

He was a carpenter and member of Spence Chapel Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, (living) Hopwood; one son, (living) Hopwood of Hickory; one daughter, (living) of Mayfield; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hopwood was preceded in death by one great-grandson, five brothers and five sisters. His parents were General Grant and Susan Thomas Colley Hopwood.
