Mrs. Switzer Dies Suddenly Sunday; Funeral Tuesday

Wife of Horace Switzer Stricken with Cerebral Hemorrhage

Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Switzer, 43, 2434 Broadway, who died suddenly at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Illinois Central hospital will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from Roth chapel.

Mrs. Switzer, who was the former Myrtle Cummings, was a life-long resident of Paducah and leaves a large number of
devoted friends.

She was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage at her home at 8:30 o'clock Sunday morning. She had been in good health previous to the attack.

Mrs. Switzer was a member of the Broadway Methodist church. She is survived by her husband, Horace Switzer, Paducah furniture dealer; two sons, Robert Owen and William Marshall Switzer; three brothers, Clarence and Owen Cummings of Paducah, and Henry Cummings of Hickman; two sisrters, Mrs. Hugh Elder of Chicago and Mrs. J.V. Skaggs, Cleveland.

Officiating at the funeral services will be Rev. J.B. Horton of the Broadway Methodsit church, assister by Reb. J.E. Underwood of Jackson, Tenn. formerly pastor of the Broadway church, and Rev. Custis Fletcher of Grace Episcopal church.

Pallbearers will be M.T. Southern, Jack Cole, Jr., E.W. Steffey, Otis Powell,  J.H. Lehnhard, and Phillip Rogers.

Burial will be in Maple Lawn cemetery. Friends may call at Roth chapel.
