In the name of God Amen
I James Duffy of the County of McCracken and State of Kentucky being in at
present in a low state of health, but being of perfect mind and memory and
calling to mind that it is appointed for all men once to die and after
death to come to judgement, do make, ordain, and appoint this my last will
and testament in the manner and form following, Viz;

I will that all my just debts and funeral charges be justly paid out of my
personal estate by my Executor hereafter mentioned.

I give and bequeath to my Brother Thomas J. Duffy, all the remainder of my
personal Estate together with all the interest that I have in land either
by title or lien. And I do hereby assign the said title fully to the said
Thomas J. Duffy and his heirs,or lawful decendants forever after my decease

Thirdly and lastly; I do constitute, ordain, and appoint Thomas J. Duffy my
Executor to this my last will and testament, revoking and making void all
other wills by me made.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal
this 10th day of November in the year of our Lord 1841

Signed, Sealed, and acknowledged by the testator as his last will and
testament in the presence of us

McCracken County

At a County Court session and held for the County aforesaid at the Court
house in Paducah on this 13th day of December 1841 this the last will and
testament of James Duffy dec'd was provided to the Court and proven by the
oath of Elijah Darnall , C.O.Tennell, and Thomas Henderson subscribing
witness thereto to be the last will and testament of said Duffy aforesaid
and the same is ordered to be recorded which together with this certificate
is done accordingly.
Given under my hand this 8th day of February 1842
