Page 32In the name of God Amen
I Joseph Mosby, now of the State of Kentucky and County of McCracken, being
very weak and sick in body but of perfect mind and memory that it is
appointed for all men to die, I make this my last will and testament,
ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and testament touching such
worldly affairs which it has been pleased God to bless me with.I first of all give and bequeath to my beloved wife Susanah Mosby all my
property and affects after my just debts is paid. The land I have in
Tennessee ---? I want sold for the benefit of Susanah Mosby and his
children. If the said Susanah Mosby should marry then to be reduced to
her thirds. I want that my children to have every one of them one quarter
section of land.This being my last will and testament
July the 26th, 1831

At a county court begins and held for the County aforesaid on the 8th day
of August 1831, this foregoing last will and testament of Joseph Mosby
dec'd and exhibited in Court and proven by the oaths of William Lowery
and Squire Stovall (two of the subscribing witness thereto) and ordered
to be recorded which is done accordingly.
