Lewis Jones
Lewis Jones, Laurel Bluff, Muhlenberg county, Ky.; was born in Muhlenberg county, Ky., July 12th 1833. He acquired a fair common school education, receiving no collegiate education. During the war he served as a non-commissioned officer in the Federal Army. He has held the office of justice of the peace for three terms, and is by occupation a farmer. He was elected to the Legislature on the Republican ticket, August 6th, 1877, over a Democratic opponent.
