Center Section, Row 8, Memorial Stone "This stone is erected in memory of those pioneers who came from Pa., Va., & N. Ca. into this area in 1784 with Rev. Joseph FERGUSON, who built the first Methodist church in Nelson Co. and second in the state of Kentucky, known as Ferguson Chapel." 1974
