Beechwood General Store, which used to be the Bethany Christian Church. Also at one time used as an automobile service station. The Bethany Cemetery is behind the store. My 2nd great-grandparents, Pleasant Samuel Prather and his wife Sarah Jane (Hutchinson) Prather are buried there. A Family Group Sheet is available for this couple.

J. R. Raisor Family

Taken about 1910, of my great-grandparents, J. R. Raisor (known as Uncle Polk), his wife, Julia Ann Smoot Raisor (known as Aunt Julia)(with dog) in the center. Fifth from the right is William Raisor (Uncle Jug) and his wife Catherine. J. R. & Wm. Raisor both served in the 3rd Regiment, Kentucky Confederate Cavalry during the Civil War. I believe the group were members of the Pleasant Home Baptist Church which was destroyed by fire in 1937. Both J. R. and Julia Ann are buried in unmarked graves at the Pleasant Home Cemetery, now over grown.
