Julia Ann Smoot Raisor and James Robert Raisor This photo was taken at the old Pleasant Home Baptist Church in about 1915 by a professional photographer in Pleasant Home. J. R. died in 1930 on their farm near Gratz. He went by the name "Polk" and his obituary in the Owenton paper, listed him as Polk. Contributed By: Robert Raisor Great Grandson

Christopher Columbus Sanford Bradford Ayres (1834-1913) and his wife Sarah Thornton (1841-1928) He was the son of Lewis Ayres of Poplar Grove and became a champion fiddle player. The couple lived in Owen Co. Contributed By: Paula Ayres Olszewski & Barry L. Marston

James Thomas Paschal "Pack" Ayres (1828-1910) was a brother of Christopher C. Ayres. He was reported to be nearly seven feet tall and could outrun a horse. He served in the Confederacy as a messenger. Contributed By: Paula Ayres Olszewski & Barry L. Marston
