Octogenarian Died At Home Near Rockdale On March 12-

 

     Warsester (Sester) J. Shelton died at his home near Rockdale Wednesday, March 12, 1941. He was 89 years, 11 months and 21 days of age.

     Shelton was born in Gallatin County, the son of Press and Lou Shelton. During the War Between the States he was large enough to take a "grinding to the mill", a task which he performed many times.

     Funeral services were conducted at Rockdale Friday at 2:30 o'clock by the Rev. Orle Hale. Burial was at Rockdale.

     He is survived by two sons, George of Natlee and John B. of Elk's Ridge, and a daughter, Mrs. Will Clemons of Rockdale; also a brother and two sisters."
