A MANIAC'S DEED
Cut His Wife's Throat and Then His Own.
(Source: Madisonville (Ky.) Hustler, Sat., Aug. 31, 1895)
At Falmouth, Ky., Thursday, Hezekiah ROBERTS, a young farmer about thirty years of age, living in the northwestern part of Pendleton county, four miles southwest of Butler, killed himself this morning by cutting his throat. He first cut his wife's throat, and, thinking he had killed her, took his own life. Mrs. ROBERTS still lives, though her life is despaired of. She was a Miss HOPPER, of Kenton, Kenton county. They have three small children. This is the fourth time ROBERTS had attempted this tragic deed. A short time ago he was pronounced insane, by Dr. SMITH, of Butler, but for some unknown reason he was not committed to the asylum. |
Problems or bad links should be reported to the webmaster. NOTE: These records have been transcribed from several different sources, either by us or by other researchers and provided as a starting point to assist you in your research; we've verified as many as we could, but be aware that there may be errors (either mis-spellings on the original records, almost illegible writing on the records, and/or typing errors on my part), so make sure to double check them prior to assuming they're "the gospel truth". We will never deliberately include erroneous information in any part of this site. If you have records that you'd like to see added to this site,
please contact either Sherri or Suzanne and
we'll be glad to add them to this collection.
