Bennie
Charles Russell, 74, of Butler,
passed away Monday, August 4, 2003 at St.
Luke Hospital in Ft. Thomas.
Bennie was the son of Oscar Clay and Maggie
Maddox Russell. He was a member of the
Butler Baptist Church. He was a veteran of
both the Korean Conflict and World War II,
serving in the United States Army. He was a
retired butcher. He was also a retired
employee of Pittsfield of Kentucky.
His beloved wife, Norma Russell, preceded
him in death.
He leaves his children, Donna Thacker,
Bennie Russell Jr., Marsha Fay Meyer and
Julie Utz, all of Butler; 11 grandchildren;
seven great-grandchildren; and one sister,
Millie Warner of Covington.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday,
August 7 at Woodhead Funeral Home in
Falmouth. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m.
until 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral
home.
Interment with full military honors will be
in the Turner Ridge Cemetery, Pendleton
County.
William
“Bill” Fogle, 83, of Butler, passed
away Friday, August 1, 2003 at his home.
Bill was born in Falmouth on August 26,
1919. He was a member of Mt. Moriah
Christian Church, American Legion Post 109
and was a Mason for over 50 years. He was a
World War II veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby,
a son, William Fogle, a daughter, Sandra Kay
Crump and a sister, Louise Wilson.
Survivors include a son, Robert Fogle of
Falmouth; daughters, Betty Pyles of Cold
Spring, Nancy Louden of Ludlow and Virginia
Beetz of Southbury, Connecticut; 12
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday,
August 5 at Peoples Funeral Home in
Falmouth.
Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to
Hospice of Hope in Maysville, Falmouth
Christian Church or to Mt. Moriah Christian
Church.
Jimmie Hamilton,
45, of Falmouth, passed away Thursday, July
31, 2003.
Jimmie was born in Berlin, Ky., on March 14,
1958, son of Louie Earl and Norma
(Daugherty) Hamilton. He was an officer for
21 years with the Falmouth Police
Department, having served as chief of police
also. He was a Mason and a former Boy Scout.
He was also an employee of the United States
Postal Service in Falmouth. Jimmie’s last
place of employment was with Diamond
Detective Agency. He married Janet Emminger,
and his dear wife survives his passing.
He was preceded in death by his father,
Louie Earl Hamilton.
Besides his wife, Janet Hamilton, other
survivors include his mother, Norma Wilson
of Falmouth; stepsons, Roger Hatton and
Billy Hatton, both of Falmouth; a
stepdaughter, Angela Hatton of Falmouth; and
sisters, Patty Gilbert of Falmouth, Debbie
Reynolds of Alexandria and Kendra Clayton of
Richmond.
Funeral services were Monday, August 4 at
Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth.
Pallbearers were Junior Hyden, Scott
Rarrieck, Billy Hatton, Roger Moore, Heston
Gilbert and John Davin Reynolds.
Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery,
Falmouth.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the
Pendleton County Summer Recreation or to the
Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.

Beatrice
(Insko) White, 86, of Dover, Ky.,
passed away August 5, 2003 at Meadowview
Regional Hospital in Maysville.
She was born on March 27, 1917 in Bracken
County, the daughter of the late Mark and
Nellie Brown Insko. She was a housewife. She
married Earl White Jr. on March 28, 1948,
whom survives her passing.
Other survivors include children, Barbara
Jane (Jim) Jones of Washington, Ky., Stephen
(Susan) White of Plumville, Ky. and Jo Ellen
(Leonard) Rule of Lexington; a brother,
Billy Ray Insko of Tacoma, Washington; and
six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, August 7 at
Germantown United Methodist Church.
Interment was in the Maple Grove Cemetery,
Germantown.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hope
in Maysville.
Palmer Funeral Home of Germantown was in
charge of arrangements.
Patricia Ann
Garrison, 56, of Butler, passed away
on Monday, August 4, 2003, at the St.
Elizabeth North Hospice in Covington.
Born on April 28, 1947, she was the daughter
of the late George and Joyce Fardo Overton.
She married Steve Garrison on December 16,
1965, and her husband preceeded her in death
on March 26, 1998. She was a retired
employee of the Butler Restaurant and a
member of the Grant’s Lick Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Leslie
Garrison of Butler; four sons, David
Garrison of Independence, Todd Garrison of
Butler, Mark Garrison of Erlanger, and James
Garrison of Butler; and one sister, Linda
Martinelli of Edgewood.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 8,
2003 at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth,
by Rev. Michael Huff. Casket bearers were
her sons and Eric Garrison and John
Garrison. Interment was in the Pythian Grove
Cemetery, Berry.
Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, handled the
arrangements.
Mary Winkle,
89, formally of Falmouth, passed away
Mon-day, August 11 at Grant Manor Nursing
Home.
She was born in Kentucky on August 14, 1914.
She was the daughter of Morgan and Mary
(Said) Fogle. She was a member of Short
Creek Baptist Church. She married James
Winkle on February 23, 1931, and he preceded
her in death on October 23, 1973.
Survivors include several nieces and
nephews.
Visitation will be at noon until time of
service at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13 at
Peoples Funeral Home, Falmouth.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery,
Falmouth.
Memorial contributions are asked to go to
The Gideons.
Charles
Thomas Ramsey, 39, of Falmouth,
passed away on August 5, 2003 at St. Luke
Hospital East in Ft. Thomas.
He was born on June 24, 1964, the son of the
late Shubert and Martha Ella McDowell
Ramsey. He was a 1984 graduate of Pendleton
County High School and attended the Fal-mouth
Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Joyce Laverne
(Eddy) Sowder of Falmouth and Hilda Fay
(Roger) Clifford of Butler; two brothers,
Calvin (Debbie) Ramsey of Bellevue and
Kenneth Ramsey of Falmouth; one niece an
dtwo nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, August
9 at Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth with
Rev. Tim Melling officiating. Adarin
Williams offered the beautiful music.
Casket bearers were Eddy Sowder, Josh Kravse,
Bradley Krause, Roger Clifford, Steve
Tucker, Billy Williams, David Glove and John
Flynn. Interment was in the Mt. Vernon
Cemetery, Pendleton County.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the

Kenneth Lee
Risse, 57, of Minister, Ohio, passed
away Monday, August 11, 2003 at the Heritage
Manor Nursing Center in Minister. He was
seriously ill for three years with lung
cancer.
Kenneth was born December 3, 1945 in
Hamilton, Ohio. He was a CPA, President of
Risse and Co., Inc. and founding partner of
Risse, Meiring and Company, Inc. in Fort
Loramie, Ohio.
Kenneth was survived by his parents and
family Marguerite and Melvin Risse of
Falmouth; Delbert Risse and Larry Allee of
Cincinnati; aunt and uncle, Carolyn Sue
Lepper and Ralph of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; great
aunt Margie Sibrel of Grandview, Ind; great
nephew, Clarence Lepper and Judi of Gallaway,
Ohio, aunt Naomi McConnell of Brooksville,
and many cousins and friends. His beloved
companion and her family was Mary Ellen
Sullivan of Minister and Ray and Joan
Crowell and children Sam, Abbie, Ben and
Gabe Crowell, all of Beavercreek, Ohio.
Kenneth belonged to the Mt. Olivet Masonic
Lodge, Ohio Society of CPA’s and American
Society of CPA’s.
Gehret Funeral Home of Ft. Loramie, Ohio
handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the
Wilson Hospice Care Remembrance Fund, care
of Wilson Memorial Hospital, 915 West
Michigan Street, Sidney, Ohio 45385 or to
Cancer Research.
