Falmouth Outlook, September 23, 2003

Mary Lou Williamson, 65, of Lakeview Michigan passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at United Memorial Health Center in Greenville, Michigan.
Mary was born in Falmouth, Kentucky on November 9, 1937 to Elza and Sarah Wallace Cooper. She was raised in the Falmouth area and graduated from Falmouth High School in 1965. On August 7, 1965, Mary married James Frederick Williamson, the love of her life for 38 years. Mary was employed at Hi-Q in Lakeview for 10 years from 1982 until 1992 but most of her life was spent caring for her family.
Mary is survived by her husband James, one son and daughter-in-law Donnie and Linda Williamson of Stanton, five daughters and five son-in-laws Sarah and Andre Beasley of Eaton Co., Bonnie and Darrell West of Lakeview, Doris and Dennis Wandel of Lakeview, Rachel and Steve Morrow of Grand Rapids, Cindy and Bryan Humphreys of Rockford, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers and their wives Russell and Mary Cooper of Latonia, Larry and Judy Cooper of Pendleton County, Kentucky, one sister Rosella and John Justice of Falmouth, and her mother Sarah Corinne Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her father Elza Ray Cooper and one brother Elza Ray Cooper, Jr.
Funeral services for Mary were held Saturday, September 13, 2003 at The Brigham Funeral Chapel in Six Lakes, Michigan with Pastor Larry Brown officiating.


Wayne “Butch” Laudick, 44, of Morningview, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2003, at his home. He was born on March 11, 1958 in Batesville, Ind., a son of Gayle Hilbert Laudick and the late Francis J. Laudick. He was a truck driver.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children: April Warren, Chris Laudick and Joe Laudick, all of Florence; one grandson, Trey Warren; a sister, Colleen Dalga of Delaware, Ohio; two brothers, Bruck Laudick of Glencoe, Ky., and Sam Laudick of Foster; and a dear friend, Melinda Olson and her family.
Private services are being conducted at the convenience of the family. Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, served the family.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Hospice.


Verna F. Jones, 89, of Berry, Ky., passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2003 at the Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Ky. She was the retired cafeteria manager at Northside Elementary School in Cynthiana.
She is survived by 2 grand-daughters; Jackie Northcutt of Lexington, Ky., and Julie Lam of New York, New York, and 5 great grand-children; Grace, Virginia, and Curtis George Northcutt, along with Richard Griffin Lam and Catelyn Fisher Lam.
She was preceded in death by her husband William A. Jones on January 26, 1977 and her son George A. Jones, who died on Feb. 9, 1986.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 20, 2003 at the Woodhead Funeral Home in Berry, officiated by Bro. Larry Jones.
Music was by Anna Frances Cason. Serving as Casket Bearers were: Coolidge Cason, Sam Arnold, Bob Lenox, Teddy Reed Renaker, Chris Swainheart, Carlos McCauley.
Interment was in the Pythian Grove Cemetery in Berry.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Parkinson’s Association of America.


Henry F. Bush, 84, of Ft. Pierce Florida, formerly of Butler, Ky., passed away Tuesday September 16, 2003, at the Lawnwood Medical Center.
Henry was born in Butler, Ky on August 18,1919, he was the son of Everett and Christine Scott Bush. He was preceded in death by his wife Irene M. Forbes.
Survivors include: sisters Elnora Baker, Ft. Thomas, Ky, Elizabeth Meyer, Brooksville, Ky., Mabel Houston, Harrison, Ohio, three nephews and five nieces.
Funeral services were Friday September 19, at Peoples Funeral Home in Butler. Interment was held in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home of Butler.


Elmer Lee Jones, 72 of Foster, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2003 at his home. He was born May 24,1931 in Bracken County, the son of the late Martin and Harriett (Teegarden) Jones. He was preceded in death by a son Anthony Wayne Jones and sisters Iva Jean Jones and Bela Bryan Jones.
He is survived by his wife Wilma Jean High Jones, children; Gregory Lee (Kim) Jones, Foster, Jeffrey Lynn (Amy) Jones, Foster and 5 grandchildren Joshua, Matthew and Andrew Jones, Kelly and Kara Jones, brothers Johnnie Jones, Foster, Jimmie Jones, Foster, sisters Nina Mae Shelton, Louisville.
He was a Sgt. of the U.S. Army from 1952-1955, and a member of Farm Bureau Ins. Board of Dir., Johnsville Cemetery Board Member, Ky Colonel, Elder and Trustee at Fairview Christian Church, Magistrate of Bracken Co., Chamber of Commerce Direc-tor, Masonic Lodge-Augusta Lodge #80.
Interment was in Johnsonville Cemetery Thursday Sept. 18, 2003, under the direction of Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Brooksville.
Memorials are suggested to Fairview Christian Church Building Fund or Hospice of Hope.


Falmouth Outlook, September 30, 2003

Sarah Corinne Wallace Cooper, 86, of Dry Ridge passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2003 at her home.
Sarah was a homemaker and a member of the Unity Baptist Church, DeMossville.
Mrs. Cooper was preceded in death by her husband, Elza Ray Cooper and one son, Elza Ray Cooper, Jr., and one daughter, Mary Lou Williamson. Survivors include: Sons, Russell Cooper, Latonia, Larry Cooper, DeMossville, daughter, Rosella Justice, Falmouth, 13 Grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 step-great grandchild and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held at Eckler-Hudson Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 1, between the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 2, at Eckler-Hudson. Internment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in DeMossville, Ky.


Vida M. Florence, 88, of Milford, passed away September 23, at the Edgemont Manor Nursing Home in Cynthiana, Ky.
Vida was born in Pendleton County on October 25, 1914 the daughter of the late Benjamin and Velma G. Sorell Franklin. She married the late Bill Florence on May 23, 1936 and he proceeded her in death on September 16, 1978.
Mrs. Florence was a member of the Milford Christian Church.
Survivors include: brother, Earl Lovelace of Falmouth, and sister Bonnie Moore of Falmouth, five grandchildren, the late Billy Franklin Florence, Rick Florence, Marvin Florence, Anthony Florence, Kathy Cracraft, and Billy Florence, and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Milford Christian Church on Sat., Sept. 27, under the direction of Moore and Parker Funeral Home of Brooksville.
Internment will be in the Neave Cemetery under the direction of Moore and Parker Funeral Home of Brooksville.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Charity of Choice.
