Edward
Joseph Reynolds, 68, of Crestview
Hills, Ky., formerly of Falmouth, passed
away on Sunday, November 9, 2003 at St.
Elizabeth Medical Center, South, in
Edgewood.
Born on April 9, 1935, in Falmouth, Ky., he
was the only son of the late Edward Earl and
Mary Frances Schuetz Reynolds. He married
Marilyn Clare Roth Reynolds on June 1, 1957
and his dear wife survives his passing. He
graduated from Falmouth High School in 1953,
and earned an accounting degree from Villa
Madonna (Thomas Moore) College in 1958, and
a banking degree from the University of
Wisconsin. He served as a bank executive for
28 years for Central Trust Bank throughout
Ohio and retired from the First National
Bank of Covington, Ky., in 1984. He also
worked as an accountant for Klee Wholesale,
Newport. He was a minister of praise at
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Ft.
Mitchell, of which he was a member. He also
served on numerous charitable boards
including the United Way and Crime Stoppers
of Greater Cincinnati.
In addition to his wife of 46 years, Marilyn
Clare Roth Reynolds, he leaves four
children: Gerard Edward (Sheila) Reynolds of
Spencerport, New York, Theresa Geralyn (Jay)
Brun of Indianapolis, Indiana, Maria Majella
Sparks of Edgewood, and Edward Gerard
(Laura) Reynolds of Independence ; 11
grandchildren; five sisters, Mary K.
Gronotte of Covington, Marge Klee of Ft.
Mitchell, Betty Lou Coleman of Edgewood,
Frances Kelly of Park Hills, and Judy
Woodhead of Falmouth.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at
12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 12, 2003
at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in
Falmouth, with Father Gregory J. Bach and
Deacon John Parker officiating. The
visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon
on Wednesday at the St. Francis Xavier
Catholic Church.
Interment will take place in the St. Francis
Xavier Cemetery, Falmouth.
Memorial contributions will be made to the
Mary Rose Mission, 1543 Russell, Covington,
KY 41011.
Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, is serving
the family.
Debbie Kay Vance,
47, of Lakeland Florida, formerly of
Falmouth, passed away on Tuesday October 28,
2003 after battling cancer for 5 years. She
was born on April 18, 1956 and was the
daughter of Max and Geneva Vance. She was
preceded in death by her brother Danny
Turley. She was a member of Oakland
Christian Church, she graduated from
Pendleton County High School in 1975.
In addition to her parents she is survived
by two sisters; Linda Joiner, Lexington;
Connie Madison, Dayton.
Ms. Vance has chosen to be cremated.
Memorial services only will be held on
Sunday, November 23, 2 p.m. at Woodhead
Funeral Home, Falmouth with Bro. Eudell Hall
officiating. The family has requested no
flowers.
Charles E.
Browning, 78, of Augusta, passed
away on Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at Augusta
Health Care. He was a Retired farmer, the
son of Charles L. and Rosa (Parker)
Browning. He was preceded in death by
brothers; James and Roger Browning.
Survivors include; sisters, Dorothy Cummins,
Newtown, Ohio., Mary Phillips, Brooksville,
Ky., Edna Phillips, Augusta, Ky;; brothers,
Herman Browning, Augusta, Ky., Richard
Browning, Falmouth, Ky.
Funeral services were held Friday, November
7, 2003, at the Moore and Parker Funeral
Home in Augusta, Ky.
Interment was in Sharon Cemetery, Augusta,
Ky.

Mary Carolyn
Collier, 85, of Falmouth, passed
away on Thursday November 6, 2003 at the
Harrison Memorial Hospital. She was born on
May 28, 1918 in Mt. Sterling, Ky., the
daughter of the late Joesph and Nell Dragoo.
She was a retired cafeteria worker for
Pendleton County High School and a member of
the Antioch Mills Christian Church. She was
married to Eldon Collier, and her dear
husband preceded her in death in 1989.
She is survived by sons; Joe Douglas (Tammy)
Collier, Berry, Ky., David Louis (Mariette)
Collier, Falmouth, five grandchildren;
Michelle (Daniel) Richie, Christie Collier,
Scotty Collier, D.J. Collier, and Danny Ray
(Saraia) Collier, and two
great-grandchildren; Shelby Sanders and
Taryn Rae Collier.
Funeral services were held on Saturday,
November 8, 2003 at the Antioch Mills
Christian Church in Falmouth with Bro. Chad
Doerr officiating. Music was shared by Amy
Doerr, Elliott Williams and Billy Hyatt.
Pallbearers for the service were Ernie
Barnes, Gary Barnard, Kenny Price, Eddie
Bishop, Gordon Smith and Marshall Nichols
Jr. The honorary pallbearers were Al
Hartman, Jon Collier, Roger Anderson, D.J.
Collier, Danny Collier, Scotty Collier,
Daniel Richie, Bobby Lindsey and Steve
Lindsey.
Interment took place in the Mt. Vernon
Cemetery. Pendleton County
Memorial contributions are suggested to the
Antioch Mills Christian Church.
Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth, served the
family.
Georgia
Sorrell Sargent, 91, of Covington,
passed away on Thursday November 6, 2003, at
St. Luke West in Florence.
Mrs. Sargent was born in Butler, Ky., on
June 15, 1912. She was the daughter of
Everett and Georgia (Francis) Sorrell and
married Charles Sargent on December 24,
1931. Her husband who passed on May 10,
1985, one brother and five sisters precede
her in death.
She was a member of the Madison Avenue
Baptist Church in Covington and held the
title of oldest living member. She also was
a member of the Daughters of the American
Revolution and Eastern Star.
Survivors include: son; Robert Sargent,
Villa Hills, Ky.; daughters; Ethel Nelson,
Richwood, Ky., Juel Cameron, Covington, Ky.;
sister; Rosie Daily, Louisville, Ky., seven
grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren,
and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Sunday
November 9, 2003 at Peoples Funeral Home in
Falmouth.
Interment took place in the Bethel Cemetery,
under the direction of Peoples Funeral Home,
Falmouth.
Memorial contributions, if desired, are
suggested to the Bethel Cemetery in care if
Gaylon Lovelace, 416 Caldwell Drive,
Elsmere, KY.
Rose
Frances Leach Griffin, 69, of Ft.
Mitchell, Ky., passed away on Sunday
November 9, 2003 at St. Luke East Hospital,
Ft. Thomas, Ky.
She was a retired Tax Specialists Alcohol,
Tobacco & Firearms Agency, and a member of
Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include; spouse, Clyde Griffin,
Ft. Mitchell; sister; Doris Hardin; brother;
William Leach, both of Pendleton County,
brother, Melvin Leach, Campbell County.
Several nieces and nephews, and several
great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Thursday,
November 13, 2003, at Chambers & Grubbs
Funeral Home, Independence.
Interment took place in Independence
Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to Hickory Grove
Baptist Church 11969 Taylor Mill Road,
Independence, KY 41051
