Deborah Gregg,
45, of Falmouth, passed Monday, February 17,
2003 at St. Luke Hospital East in Ft.
Thomas.
She was born on January 15, 1958 in Ft.
Thomas, the daughter of Betty Draper
Ferguson and Larry Florence. She worked at
Nellie’s Restaurant in Butler. She was a
member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in
Covington.
In addition to her parents, Betty Draper
(Ron) Ferguson of Falmouth and Larry
(Barbara) Florence, also of Falmouth, she
leaves a son, Joshua Gregg of Falmouth; a
daughter, Tasha (Brad) Daugherty of
Falmouth; a stepdaughter, Stephanie Gregg of
Falmouth; five grandchildren, Jacob Gregg,
J. D. Daugherty, McKenzie Mulloy, Corey
Gregg and Brandon Wagner; a brother and
sister-in-law, Gary and JoAnn Florence of
Falmouth; her grandmother, Emma Scott Draper
of Williamstown; a niece, Casey (Anthony)
Pugh of Falmouth; a nephew, Cory Florence of
Falmouth and a great-nephew, Blayne Pugh.
Funeral services were Friday, February 21 at
Woodhead Funeral Home in Falmouth with Bro.
Dale Bobb and Bro. Rich Livingood
officiating. Music was shared by Bro. Rich
Livingood. Serving as pallbearers were David
King, Anthony Pugh, Dale Gross, J. T. Gross,
Troy Caswell, Kenzie Florence and Josh
Gregg.
Interment was in the Lenoxburg Cemetery,
Bracken County.
Memorials are suggested to the American
Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s
choice.
Jessie
Esther Dunaway,
92, of Falmouth, passed away Wednesday,
February 12, 2003 at the Grant Manor Nursing
Home.
She was born in Campbell County on November
22, 1910, daughter of Thomas A. and Sarah
(Clement) Daniel. She was a member of
Falmouth Baptist Church where she taught a
ladies Sunday School class for years. She
worked at Dr. Scholls. She was a member of
the Pendleton County Hospital Auxiliary. She
also worked for Houchen’s Clothes and
Randy’s Clothing in Falmouth. She owned
Dunaway’s Restaurant in Falmouth. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Elva.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean
McClanahan of Erlanger; three grandchildren,
Fonda Leach of Lexington, Terry McClanahan
of Erlanger and Gary McClanahan of
Cincinnati, Ohio; seven great-grandchildren
and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, February 15
at Peoples Funeral Home in Falmouth with
Mike Schafer officiating. Pallbearers were
Terry McClanahan, Gary McClanahan, Tad
Leach, Stanley Gosney, Gayle Schafer and
Charles Baker.
Interment was in Riverside Cemetery under
the direction of Peoples Funeral Home,
Falmouth.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the
Falmouth Baptist Church, 403 Maple Avenue,
Falmouth, KY 41040.

Mamie Alberta Hardin Gabbard, of
Orlando, Florida, formerly of Latonia,
passed away Saturday at Florida East
Hospital in Orlando.
Survivors include her husband, David
Gabbard; daughters, Karen Jones and
Sharen Dean, both of Orlando; sisters,
Velma Weaver of Cold Spring, Margie
Claypole of Park Hills and Phyllis
Jennings of Latonia; two grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held at the convenience of
the family. Affordable Cremations,
Orlando, handled arrangements.
Mrs.
Orpha
Yelton Howe, 87, of Alexandria,
passed away Monday, February 24, 2003 at
St. Luke Hospital East in Ft. Thomas
after a long illness.
She was the widow of Dr. Allie Everett
Howe, who preceded her in death on
October 6, 1987. He was a long time
Alexandria physician. Mrs. Howe worked
in his office for 27 years. She was born
on May 26, 1915, the daughter of the
late William Richard and Margaret
Catherine Utter Yelton of Butler. She
was a member of the Main Street Baptist
Church in Alexandria and the Alexandria
Order of Eastern Star Chapter 158.
She leaves one sister, Naomi R Whitaker
of Fairfax, VA and five nieces and
nephews, Martha Lee Hopkins, Kathy
Yelton, Jean Dembeugh, Richard Yelton
and Dick Whitaker.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, February 26 at Alexandria
Funeral Home. The visitation will
precede the funeral from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Interment will be in the Butler
Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the American
Cancer Society or the American Lung
Association.
The family had entrusted Woodhead
Funeral Home of Falmouth with the
arrangements.
Ruth
Evelyn Gray, 92, of Butler,
passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2003
at St. Elizabeth Hospital South in
Edgewood.
Ruth was born in Pendleton County on
February 15, 1911, daughter of Elmer and
Clara Yelton Dunaway. She was a
dedicated homemaker and a devoted wife
and mother. She was also a piano
instructor in the community. She was a
member of the Plum Creek Christian
Church, serving in the past as a Sunday
School teacher and pianist; and member
of the Ladies Council of Southern States
in Alexandria. She married Roy Gray on
June 7, 1930, who preceded her in death
on April 22, 1987. Also preceding her in
death were sisters, Dorothy Mullins,
Mary Elizabeth Gray; and one grandchild,
Jeff Souders.
Survivors include daughters, Sharon
Souders of Alexandria and Marlene Gosney
of Butler; four grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, February
22 at the Plum Creek Christian Church.
Officiating were ministers, Larry
Travis, Mike Flynn and Jesse Henderson.
Music was shared by Amy Brown, David
Bay, Judy Graziani, Vic Vogt and the
Plum Creek Choir. Pallbearers were Rick
Craig, Mike Woodruff, Jesse Vater, Ed
Stubbs, Paul Thompson and Tom Sargent.
Honorary pallbearers were Robert Schmidt
and Ralph Houston.
Interment was in the Butler Cemetery
under the direction of Peoples Funeral
Home, Butler.
Memorial contributions, if desired, are
suggested to This Land Is Grace, Plum
Creek Christian Church, US 27, Butler,
KY 41006.
