Missouri R. Pelley
Mrs. Missouri
Rosetta Pelley, aged 76 years and 4 days ,
one of the county's most beloved Christian
women died Jan 20 at the home of her
daughter, Mrs W. W. Holmes in Bellevue Ky,
after an extended illness.
Mrs. Pelley
was a daughter of the late B. C. Gosney and
Nancy Bryant Gosney and was born near Grants
Lick on Jan 16, 1854 and was a great grand
daughter of Mary Boone Bryant who was a
sister of Daniel Boone. She united with the
Plum Creek Christian Church in early life
and lived a beautiful Christian life until
the end.
She was united in marriage to Philip B.
Pelley on Oct 7, 1880 and to this union two
daughters were born. One daughter Machie
Foster Pelley died Jan 24, 1925. She is
survived by one daughter Aya Blanche Pelley
now Mrs W. W. Holmes of Bellevue. She is
survived by two brothers Worth Gosney of
Grants Lick and J. W. Gosney of Goddard Kan.
and eight grandchildren. Her husband
preceded her to the great beyond on July 13,
1918.
