Ralph Edward Schlueter, 77, of Peach
Grove, KY, passed away on Tuesday, July 26,
2005 at St. Luke Hospital East, Ft. Thomas,
KY. Born on September 18, 1927 in
Demossville, KY, he was the son of the late
Alex and Cora Belew Schlueter. Ralph was
united in marriage on March 10, 1951 to
Betty Barnard.
He was preceded in death by his daughter,
Sue Layne Schlueter, brother, Winston and
sister, Wilma Schlueter. He worked for
Thiemann Brothers in Cincinnati Ohio and
retired from Reis Concrete in December of
1990 and has resided on Hwy 154, for the
past 45 years, on a farm well known as
“Ralph’s Ranch”. A faithful member, Sunday
School Teacher, Deacon past Sunday School
Superintendent, plus assistant softball
coach of 2nd Twelve Mile Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Betty Barnard
Schlueter, Peach Grove, KY, daughter, Pam
Mains, Alexandria, KY, brother, Randall
Schlueter, Butler, KY, sister, Beulah Elrod,
Foster, KY, two grandchildren, Mike Mains,
Taylor Mill, KY, and Bridget (Chris) Yelton,
Butler, KY.
Services were held on Friday, July 29, 2005
at 2nd 12 mile Baptist Church in Peach
Grove, KY. officiated by Glen Chasteen, Ron
Chastain and James Conrad, under the
direction of Peoples Funeral Home. Music was
provided by David Barnard, Fran McKenney,
Sonja Barnard with Betty Sydnor playing the
organ.
Pallbearers were Larry Bradbury, Tom
Middleton, Rick Schafer, Ardell Brandenburg,
Allen Pape, Lee Turner, Gary Turner, and
Mike Barnard. Honorary pallbearers were Jim
Roseberry, Hank Roseberry, Jack Gallagher,
Delbert Cox, Billy Corbin and Johnny Eshman.
Interment took place in the Peach Grove
Cemetery, Pendleton County, KY.
