Graduated U. of Glasgow, Scotland. Ordained in Presbyterian Church June 23, 1713.

Came to NY 1714 w/wife & children (likely Esther & Mary) and later settled in Virginia.

Pioneer preacher, author, teacher & church leader.

Roger and five sons served in Revolutionary War.
