Services for Mary Hallie Allen, 87, of Rice Lane, Stanford, formerly of
Danville, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Preston-Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev.
Charles Perry. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery.
She died Monday at home.
Born May 3, 1910, in Rockcastle County, she was a daughter of the late Edward
and Lela May French Carpenter. She was a homemaker, a member of Parksville
Church of God and the widow of Bev B. Allen.
Survivors include five daughters, May Green and Louise Allen, both of Stanford,
Jessie Conway, Mildred Hunnley and Mary Leecie Roller, all of Danville; five
sons, Claude H. Allen of Danville, Bev L. Allen of North Manchester, Ind., and
John T. Allen of Russell Springs, Gerald H. Allen of Berea and Claude T. Allen
of Interlachen, Fla.; two sisters, Rosie Kidd of Lancaster and Mae Carpenter of
Lexington; 34 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a
great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be James and Gary Green, Charles Kidd, John Conway, Charles
Dennie and Kim Allen.
