Mae McKinney Bullock

 

Mrs. Mae McKinney Bullock, 88, of Barbourville, died Thursday, June 3, 2004 in the Knox County Hospital. She was born August 28, 1915 in Rockcastle County to James and Liza Brown McKinney. She was a homemaker, a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Waynesburg and enjoyed sewing and quilting.

 

In 1930, she was married to Grover Bullock in Rockcastle County and to this union three children were born.

 

Survivors include two children, Mary Rose Choate (Jack) of Barbourville and Phillip Bullock (Connie) of Windsor; one brother whom he raised, E. J. McKinney (Lucy) of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; two great grandchildren and one special nephew, Michael.

 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Monroe Bullock; a sister, Ina Reynolds and four brothers, Arthur, Clyde, Robert and Bailey McKinney.

 

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 6 in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home with Bro. Vola Brown officiating. Burial was in the Barbourville Cemetery.
