RICHMOND, Ind. -- Clayton H. Dooley, age 83, Richmond, died Sunday, June 13, 2004, at Reid Hospital. Born March 8, 1921, in Wilde, Ky., he was the son of James B. and Eva Pennington Dooley. He was purchasing director for Richmond Electric for 35 years. Clayton was a member of the Senior Center and loved to bake cookies and cook. He drew cartoons and sent them to friends.

 

Survivors include his wife, Clara Felty Dooley, to whom he was married for 68 years; one daughter, Cindy (Wilmer) Stoflet, Richmond; two grandsons, Andy and Adam Stoflet; one granddaughter, Andra Stoflet; three brothers, Charles (Flossie) Dooley, Frank (Nancy) Dooley and Monroe Dooley, all of Centerville; two sisters, Ruby (Dick) Backmeyer and Bea (Earl) Chamness, all of Richmond; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Dooley, and two sisters, Ruth Dooley and Betty Tousell.
 

A memorial service will be held at 10 am. Friday, June 25, 2004, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road W., Richmond, with Wanda Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
