Curtis Herrington, 81, of Old Somerset Road, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Fox
Funeral Home by the Rev. Harold Carter. Burial will be in Danville Memorial
Gardens. He died Thursday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born Oct. 9, 1916, in
Rockcastle County, he was a son of the late Aquilla and Effie Mae Laswell
Herrington. He was a head mechanic of Lincoln County Board of Education, retired
after 36 years, and a member of New Bethel Church of Christ. He was the widower
of Elizabeth Westerfield Herrington. Survivors include a son,
Curtis A. Herrington of Stanford; five daughters, Brenda Caudill, Connie Taylor
and Judy Herrington, all of Stanford, Beverly G. Peterman of Mount Joy, Penn.,
and Debbie Popplewell of Georgetown; two brothers, Carlis Herrington of Taylor,
Mich., and Vanis Herrington of Cincinnati, Ohio; a sister, Janie Symonds of
Stanford; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. |
